bettername2come Sunday at 01:01 AM Share Sunday at 01:01 AM Ew, Joe, you took her teeth to frame Harrison? Ew. Good of Harrison to take the fall for Maddie. Didn't think she was gonna burn the bookstore down, but "destroy the sets" is a classic trope for a reason. "You cannot start getting cute about killing Joe Goldberg. This is how everything goes bad." Well, Nadia learns from her past. I'm so glad Kate had a decoy. It's always a relief when Joe get put into the cage, but we've been burned before. Kate flipping off to reveal she had the engagement ring was a nice little moment. Yay, she's gonna send Henry back to his dads in Madre Linda! I started singing "Guess who's back, back again" when Marienne walked in. Marienne and Joe argument was well-played by both actors. So was the conversation between Bronte and Marienne. "As long as you are alive, it's not too late." Oh, crap I did not see him hiding the key in his arm. That is a special kind of crazy/prepared. I was not ready for Bronte to get the voiceover at the end, but I'm glad she's on the right track with it. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153267-s05e09-trial-of-the-furies/#findComment-8646552
Spartan Girl Sunday at 02:03 AM Author Share Sunday at 02:03 AM I was digging the hell out of Marianne’s new Furiousa look. 1 hour ago, bettername2come said: Kate flipping off to reveal she had the engagement ring was a nice little moment. Lol that was hilarious. I lived everything about Team Fury (Kate, Nadia and Marianne). Nadia and Marianne both earned their moments telling Joe how much he ruined their lives. And Kate being the one to go down for everything because the others deserved to salvage their lives was touching. It’s too bad those three only had one episode together. Thank God Marianne was finally able to get through to Bronte. She could dismiss Joe’s evil ex-wife, but Marianne was a living breathing victim she couldn’t ignore. As frustrating as Bronte’s idiocy has been, I did love how Marianne’s speech helped me understand a little better. Nobody wants to turn “those women” — the ones that “let” themselves be victimized. But the truth is that everybody has blind spots, and some just take longer to show up and level us. One of life’s painful truths that people like Joe exploit for all they’re worth. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153267-s05e09-trial-of-the-furies/#findComment-8646575
Paloma Monday at 06:14 PM Share Monday at 06:14 PM I was happy to see Marienne again and to see her working with Kate and Nadia, and I'm glad Bronte/Louise finally woke up (though I don't trust that Joe won't pull the wool over her eyes again). But I was pulled out of the scene by the ridiculousness of the bookstore going up in flames and not one person in the vicinity called the fire department. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153267-s05e09-trial-of-the-furies/#findComment-8647814
