So far as the more-guy-friends-than-girls thing goes, I don’t blame Eva one bit; my oldest daughter was the same in high school, and it had zero to do with thinking she was “too cool” or trying to “steal ALL the boyfriends”* - and much more to do with the fact she found the mental mindfuck games of the Mean Girl Mafia disgusting, and wanted nothing to do with assholes who thought daily social evisceration of their classmates constituted “fun”. Eva is pretty cute and has a nice bod, and also has a form of autism which interferes with her ability to read lies and insincerity - so I would not be one bit surprised to find (a) her school’s chapter of the Plastics looked to fuck her over on a daily basis, and (b) Eva found hanging with DaBros much less stressful than contending with the insecurity-born antics of the local trophy-wife-to-be contingent. * And yeah, that was a direct quote I overheard from one such Mean Girl at a softball game; they think everyone else thinks the same way they do, which is pretty revealing in and of itself. 7 1 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152462-s48e04-the-house-partys-over/page/2/#findComment-8615499

Thank you for articulating so much better than I could!! I always tended to have more male than female friends (my female friends were and still are very special to me though). Also, given that she's going to a college that typically has more male than female students, she's probably got more experience bonding with males than females. Certainly doesn't make her a bad person! 5 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152462-s48e04-the-house-partys-over/page/2/#findComment-8615520
Tango64 March 24 Share March 24 That's a better and more generous explanation of Eva's behavior than I had thought. When she glommed on to the stunt guy so enthusiastically after the merge, my initial thought was that she is someone who always wants a big strong guy to be her buddy (if not more) and protect her, and she is charming enough to go after them. But I can see your explanation too. Maybe seeing only what's on screen can make it look different. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152462-s48e04-the-house-partys-over/page/2/#findComment-8615569

Well, looking at the numbers…. 23 day season x 24 hours/day x 30 cameras (approx.) running at any given time equates to roughly 16,560 hours of recorded footage per season. We The Viewers will only see about 28 hours of that (assuming 14 2-hr episodes per season). This means the sum total of EVERYTHING we see is way less than 1%* of the total footage actually shot. So - taking this into account, it’s easy to see how Production has sufficient leeway (and footage) to pretty much sculpt whatever narrative they choose to present. * #NerdAlert: actual figure is 0.169% 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152462-s48e04-the-house-partys-over/page/2/#findComment-8615697
