Snazzy Daisy January 23 Author Share January 23 Good Will Hunting meets A Beautiful Mind, sort of. A slow-paced premiere. I didn’t expect Professor Robert Mallinder to be dead in the first episode. His combative dynamic with Edward is a bit off-putting but his wife, Andrea adds a nurturing element to that dynamic. We keep seeing repetitive patterns in the premiere. The opening credits can be triggering for people suffering with trypophobia. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151494-s01e01-a-new-pattern/#findComment-8561492
Lois Sandborne March 10 Share March 10 I was super turned off by the opening scene of the mother being blown up in a generic Arabic neighborhood. We don't ever learn anything about her or her daughter. But then later we see some kind of ruins exposed by the explosion, so the whole horrible bombing scene ends up as just the catalyst for some white woman's research project? I came here to see if I was being too critical, but it looks like no one's really interested in this show anyway, so no great loss in turning it off.
