AnimeMania December 18, 2024 Share December 18, 2024 Going Dutch Comedy FOX January 2, 2025 at 9:30pm Going Dutch is a Comedy TV Series airing on January 2, 2025 on FOX at 9:30pm. Arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn has served with distinction in every warzone for the last three decades. After an especially unfiltered rant, Quinn is reassigned as the ultimate punishment, to be in command of the smallest and least important United States Army Garrison (USAG) in the world, the 405th AFSB (Army Field Support Brigade - a military organization that provides logistics support to U.S. Army units) USAG-Stroopsdorf in the Netherlands by General Davidson, Colonel Quinn's long-standing rival. (There is a real 405th AFSB, but it is located in Kaiserslautern, Germany.) USAG-Stroopsdorf has no guns, no weapons, and no tactical purpose, but it does have a first class lavender-infused laundry service, a Michelin-star-level commissary, a top-notch bowling alley, and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Army. Quinn assumes command from USAG-Stroopsdorf's interim acting commanding officer, his estranged daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn. Colonel Patrick Quinn attempts to reinstill military discipline and professionalism to this base full of loose cannons. Joe Morton as General Davidson, Colonel Patrick Quinn's long-standing nemesis. After participating in a decades-long pissing contest, General Davidson has finally come out on top due to his willingness to engage in politics and kiss the rings in a way that Quinn could never bring himself to do. Bitter and jealous of Colonel Quinn's battlefield success, General Davidson has been waiting for years for Colonel Quinn to mess up and, with Quinn's spontaneous unfiltered tirade, General Davidson jumps at the opportunity to get his revenge. General Davidson specialty is Psyops, so he has designed Quinn's punishment to be the most humiliating possible: by posting Quinn to a remote non-combat USAG currently run by the Quinn's estranged daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn. Taylor Misiak as Captain Maggie Quinn, the acting commanding officer of the USAG in the Netherlands and the estranged daughter of Colonel Quinn. Maggie is a kind and empathetic diplomat. Maggie has ambitions of her own including rising through the ranks of the military and outshining her legendary father, becoming the first female President, and finally having one successful romantic relationship. But, whenever her father is in the same room, Maggie can't help but become a surly and caustic insult comic. Denis Leary as U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, an arrogant loudmouth, who after an unfiltered rant, is reassigned to a USAG in the Netherlands, as a punishment. Danny Pudi as XO Major Abraham Shah, Colonel Quinn's Executive Officer and "codependent" right-hand man. Major Shah takes his responsibility of supporting The Colonel very seriously, from executing battle plans to taking on The Colonel's unwanted emotional baggage. Major Shah seems the most confident and competent soldier on the base, but under the surface something is starting to give. After twenty years of being attached to Colonel Quinn's hip, Major Shah begins to wonder where Colonel Quinn ends and he begins. Major Shah's life-long connection with Maggie, has him finally ready to start figuring out who he can be outside of the military. Laci Mosley as Sergeant Dana Conway, a cunning, crafty Supply Sergeant, who grew in Yonkers, and had the choice of Cosmetology School or the Army, she leveraged her entrepreneurial drive and her position, to get herself the finer things in life, turning USAG-Stroopsdorf into a European pansexual paradise, her "stately pleasure-dome", surrounded by incredible food, art, and wine. Most soldiers at USAG-Stroopsdorf are trying to leave, but Dana can't imagine serving anywhere else. Dana is Maggie's best friend, although Maggie is not Dana's best friend. Hal Cumpston as Corporal Elias Papadakis, brilliant head of IT at USAG-Netherlands. Although technically a soldier, Papadakis has no ability to master the physical requirements of being a soldier, but behind a keyboard his computer and hacking skills are unrivaled. This doesn't stop Colonel Quinn from targeting Papadakis as an example of everything he believes is wrong with the military. Dempsey Bryk as Private Anthony "BA - Below Average" Chapman, BA is physically strong, but mentally weak and always cracks under pressure. BA stands for "Below Average" a nickname he received because it is what he scores on every mental acuity test that the army requires. BA is very likable, he is happy to serve and eager to please. Catherine Tate as Katja Vanderhoff, a smart, attractive Dutch woman with a PhD in intersectional feminism. Katja is the head of the city's Chamber of Commerce and the local brothel owner. Katja is straightforward and emotionally available, yet enigmatic. She's designed her life to be exactly what she wants, and then happily lives her life completely on her terms, which is why she's surprised to be romantically drawn to a stubborn, narcissistic, aggressive loudmouth like the Colonel Quinn. But Katja won't allow her attraction to Colonel Quinn compromise who she is or what she's built. If they are to be together, Colonel Quinn must be willing to change. Louis Kirwan as Geert (a 13 year old boy) Donald Sage Mackay as General Gus King Gemma Knight Jones as Major Clark Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151250-going-dutch-in-the-media/
