Arcadiasw February 22 Share February 22 I don't know Illiza Sheslinger but her story was nice. As for Bob Odenkirk, am I the only one to think his royal ancestor who promised to marry his mistress when his wife died was lying? It was common for men to die first during that time. I don’t remember if he was older than his wife but I wouldn’t be shock if he told his mistress that to please her while keeping his wife. 1 Link to comment

This was the 1700s, when many women died in childbirth, so it could have been a sincere promise. Their DNA admixtures: I guess France would be included in "Northwestern Europe"? Their DNA admixtures: True but how old was his wife then? Were they still having children or were they married in name only at this point? We can never know but telling his mistress he is waiting for his wife to die for them to be together is giving false hope to something that may not happen unless his wife is terminally ill. There have been married men who give their mistresses empty promises. "I'm waiting for the wife to die. I'm waiting for the kids to grow up." The mistress wait and wait for years and nothing happens. He could've been sincere but there could've been another side to this not so sincere. Link to comment
