Not majorly impressed by Episode 1.   The actress is wonderful in playing Barbara/Sophie and I understand that they're trying to give us the early 60s "Swinging London" background but this episode didn't grab me for some reason.  I will report, for others feeling the same, it does get better in Episode 2, so don't give up yet!
