The Traitors (CA) - General Discussion

I was happy Kyra went home.  I really came to dislike her.  Nick and Kyra were not very good at hiding their relationship.  Neda picked up on how close they were.  However Neda has now moved forward as suspicious.  Several of the Faithful saw Kyra and Neda as a battle between Traitors.  I wonder if Tranna will continue to trust Neda? I was surprised that Karine didn't ask Neda to recruit.  Is is too late in the game for that?  If so it makes me sad.  The Traitors have not recruited at all this season.  I always enjoy watching a Faithful have to switch to being a Traitor without getting caught.

Yeah, Neda came out strong in the clutch; but it may have burned her as the Traitor. I suspect there's a really good chance that this season will eliminate all the traitors in the final round table (which is impressive considering how long it took them to find the Traitors in the first place). Then again that too may have worked in their favour; there were only three Traitors this season, with no one getting a chance to flip. (Though the faithful may suspect something).

I'd say there's a 50/50 chance that either Nick or Tranna will get murdered. I can see keeping Nick along for the disruption he could cause among the faithful; but he also seems to be vibing that Neda is the Traitor too. Tranna would be a good pick to try and deflect from Neda, but may also be too obvious.

And yeah, there's only 1 more murder (happening now) and 1 more round table. I think last week or the week before would be the final time they could recruit and keep things fair. Right now, there's no point in recruiting another traitor because they would never get a chance to murder anyone.

Right now there are 6 players left, with 1 murder and 1 round table left to go. After those happen, we're  down to 4 players for the final Fire of Truth which would have up to 2 more rounds of deciding to take hte money or vote out, and voting. (When they're down to 2 players, it's an automatic "keep the money and Traitor wins all if they are there")

I can accept Neda winning since she did get Kyra out.  I really came to dislike Kyra.

The Faithfuls were so wrong all season.  It was the other Traitors that actually helped them get the Traitors out.  Kevin and Lauren were too obsessed with each other.  Tranna was wrongly loyal to Neda.  Laurie finally came to suspect Neda.  But by the time she got there she had nobody willing to trust her judgement.

I was very disappointed this season that they never recruited a new Traitor.  That is one of the fun things to watch on the show.  It is always interesting to see how a Faithful can turn and be a Traitor.  But we never got that.  This has to be the worst Faithfuls I have seen on one of these shows.

I still loved watching what Karine was wearing each week.

Ultimately, the Faithful did themselves in. For whatever reasons, they could not clue in on who a Traitor was. Even when the Traitors were finally unmasked, it was mostly due to other Traitors calling them out.

Not recruiting a new Traitor is a rarity for this format, but when the Faithful just can't find one, you don't get an opportunity to recruit.

As a traitor, it does feel like Neda played a near perfect game. She kept a relatively low profile until the end, and made sure there were bigger targets than her around. She also maintained a strong ally among the faithful to shield her to the very end.

I do wish they had an aftermath show for this season. I wonder how many clued in on the Brother-Sister relationship by the end? Neda knocking out Nick as her final official murder was probably the right call. I had a feeling he was probably one of the ones most suspicious of her on that final table, so without him pushing her case, the other Faithful fell on themselves.

Laurie voting out Kevin screwed the Faithful.  Kevin and Cedric told Laurie after they got out Lauren they would take out Neda.  If Laurie had voted with them to take out Lauren they would have had the 3 votes to take out Neda.  It would not have mattered who Tranna and Neda voted for.  But Laurie got sidetracked and went with the others to take out Kevin.  At that moment Neda was safe to coast to the end.

Someone else pointed that out to me right after we watched. The Faithfuls were wrong the entire season. The biggest reason they caught traitors is because the traitors pointed the finger at each other.

Wouldn't it have been tied? 3 for Kevin and 3 for Lauren. What happens if there's a tie?

It was clear to me after they voted for Cedric that Neda was coasting to the end. If the others didn't throw a shot at Neda after Kevin was voted out, they must believe that Neda is really a Faithful.

To go back to my earlier point about Laurie being the only one to vote for Neda after having that suspicion, I actually couldn't tell if the fire had changed colors when I first watched. I didn't know Laurie had voted to end the game, and Neda herself voted to banish. Neda would have never gotten that vote from Laurie if Neda (and Tranna) had also voted to end the game. Therefore, I take back any credit that I gave to Laurie for being the only one to vote for Neda because Laurie would have ended the game with Neda still in the game.

I don't know what they would do in a tie.  First they would probably make them revote.  Maybe they would just boot both of them if the tie isn't broken.

I saw Neda on The Social.  She is a stylist and she said she thought about her wardrobe and only brought clothes that were not bright but whites and one shade.  She wore lace and ribbons.  She wanted to look non-threatening and she played dumb.  She kept asking dumb questions so nobody would think she was a threat.  She plans to give the money to her mom for her retirement.
