I loved that the show did the twist that it wasn't Isabella on the tape.. but Megan on the tape.  So the dissolution of their friendship will involve this pact/alliance they have.. and not because of the old school trope of girl sleeping with best friends boyfriend.

And some of these small towns were more 'old school' in 1999 then people would like to think or remember... so I could buy the town/school blaming the girl and not the guy (Luke).
