tired and hungry January 14, 2023 Share January 14, 2023 Oh my gosh! I had no idea the new season was starting so soon! I was totally surprised! Can't wait to see how they conclude the final season! I hope it's not too vague and we can have a some good closure... Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy January 14, 2023 Author Share January 14, 2023 (edited) The final chapter! Let’s the confusion begins…😆 A heart-pounding episode that’s too short, it doesn’t feel like 24 minutes. Stunning cinematography with the street scenes and amazing framing in the car scenes with Leanne. Does the Church of Lesser Saints stop the time too? The neighbours don’t seem to bother with the street drama and the pigeons’ attack. The bird plucking an eyeball out, euwww! Quote “You can’t hurt me. I’m not who I used to be. I’m something more.” I truly hope we’ll get some answers on this something more thing. What’s the symbol that the Tall Man draws on the car window? While Leanne is hiding in the car, I keep thinking about her cake. Please don’t let some fires and burnt cake ruin Sean’s lovely kitchen. Dorothy makes her grand return in a splendid way. Love it! Her emotionless face, her designer cape and oversize sunglass heighten the tension between her and Leanne. We still don’t know how severe her spinal cord injury is, will she walk again? Other than Leanne, Sean also has his own cult now - the GG. The show being filmed in a church setting, not very subtle huh. Juju has relapsed. 😢 Jericho has gotten so big over the past 3-4 months in Servant’s universe. An overly emotional Leanne cracks the basement foundation. It spreads all the way out to the sidewalk & street. Creepy! Sean is going to freak out. Edited January 15, 2023 by SnazzyDaisy 2 Link to comment
tired and hungry January 14, 2023 Share January 14, 2023 Ok so just finished watching the first episode.. It was only 24 mins. (I had no idea it was so short till I hovered on the video progress bar :D ) The first half was definitely shot very well almost seemed like you were watching a movie... But as another user pointed out, with all that was happening outside, the neighbours clearly cannot hear and see anything that's going on. The neighbourhood seems lively with kids playing around one second and is totally dead & eerie in the next second! And I'm not sure but are car exhausts supposed to work like that? Would you be able to smoke the car out like that? Also, I totally forgot about the cake in the oven too! Atleast it didn't burn the house down! I know the first couple of seasons only takes place in about more or less 1yr (I think) but with this amount of drama happening on a regular basis it seems like much more time has passed and Jericho still seems like an infant.. IDK but for me the timelines are very skewed in my mind.. Overall it was a good first episode! Looking forward to watching the rest of the season! 2 Link to comment
Affogato January 15, 2023 Share January 15, 2023 this was exciting in that it took place in real time, with the cake in the oven. Everything that happens to Leanne has such drama attached to it. The smoke in the van could have been exhaust or fried electronics, I suppose it would come in through the ventillation system, like carbon dioxide, only visible. The whole thing was filmed like a nightmare, suddenly a busy area is deserted and things keep on coming for you. I have no idea what is real here. Sean is a real jerk in what we could hear in the tv show (I do realize this is like a real chef show) , I wonder if his abusiveness on the show is an outlet for his frustration with his home life. Still, it is possible that with his wife in the hospital and his brother in law in rehab this has been a period of relaxation for him, relatively speaking, and he can actually work at his job. If so Dorothy's return will not be welcome. Are there elevators or chair lifts on the stairs? If I remember, vaguely, manipulating the wheelchair may be hard. 1 Link to comment
