Bort December 29, 2021 Share December 29, 2021 Fatal Attraction series ordered at Paramount+ Quote A series adaptation of the 1987 thriller, which will star Masters of Sex alum Lizzy Caplan, has been officially ordered at Paramount+. The original Fatal Attraction starred Michael Douglas as Dan, a married lawyer who has a one-night stand with Glenn Close’s Alex while his wife is out of town, leading Alex to become dangerously obsessed with Dan after their fling. Caplan will play Alex in Paramount+’s reboot, which plans to tell its story “through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.” (The role of Dan has yet to be cast.) 1 Link to comment

Cementhead October 27, 2023 Share October 27, 2023 The cancellation is no surprise to me as this was one of the weirdest takes on original source material that I have ever seen. What a giant disappointment. It lacked everything the movie had going for it; most importantly, the edge-of-your-seat tension and excitement. All signs pointed to the daughter being the focus of another season if they were lucky enough to get one and since I couldn't have cared less about her and her story line the first time round, I most certainly wouldn't have watched a second season written around her.
