Lois Sandborne November 8, 2021 Share November 8, 2021 The show's third season premiered yesterday on Adult Swim. It sets my teeth on edge to call anything wholesome these days, but it's the perfect word for this show. The premise is just a mild-mannered junior high choir teacher in small town Michigan talking to the audience about his interests, and gradually introducing his family, friends, and community. It's impossible to explain and to resist. In true Adult Swim style each episode is only about 11 minutes long, so it's easy to jump in. The older seasons are on HBO Max and I think Amazon. This NPR story sums up the show really well, but be warned that it drops some pretty significant spoilers for the first two seasons. 1 Link to comment
bad things are bad November 9, 2021 Share November 9, 2021 Another good story about the show. I hadn't realized Joe isn't from the UP https://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/television/2021/11/07/joe-pera-michigan-set-comedy-ted-lasso-heart/6246274001/ 1 Link to comment
PrincessPurrsALot November 12, 2021 Share November 12, 2021 I love this show. With all of the trash I watch (and it's a lot, Really a lot) this show is like a warm hug. Link to comment
Lois Sandborne November 16, 2021 Author Share November 16, 2021 Agreed. This is one of few shows I make sure to catch when it airs, because it's so refreshing. Perfect way to end the weekend. I loved both of this week's episodes. Drunk Jo Firestone was adorable. 1 Link to comment
