RunningMarket April 29, 2024 Share April 29, 2024 (edited) I am way, way behind but I just discovered this show and binged both seasons in less than I week. I ADORE it. It's fun, it's bright, it's genuinely funny, and it's light hearted although still tackles some heavier topics. I spent a lot of time in Acapulco in the 80s, so I was bummed to learn this was filmed in Puerto Vallarta (but understandable as Acapulco has had some safety issues in more recent times), but I definitely see the flavours of the neighbourhoods Maximo and his family live in, vs. the ritzy resort. There is (was?) a fancy resort in Acapulco that is known for its pink - I wonder if that was inspiration! I am eager for season 3!
