Even though she was only on for a few years in the early 90s, I do wish they kept Julia Barrett (Brenda's sister) around longer. Not sure if she left because it was her choice or the shows, but I liked her dynamic with Brenda, plus her running Barrett Industries had lots more story line potential that was untapped.

Julia! I remember my half-baked theory that Cooper Barrett (y'all remember, one of Maxie's hot dumb cops) was actually Julia's son with...AJ. They did have an onscreen affair, though I forget if she stuck around long enough afterwards to make a secret pregnancy plausible. Even if not, there's been nuttier retcons. And it was bonkers that they gave Cooper the last name Barrett and did nothing with that.

True, they could have fudged the timeline so that she was pregnant with AJ's kid once she left Port Charles for London...but it would have been strange to not at least tell Brenda about it. I guess they could have said she swore Brenda to secrecy for...reasons, and Brenda agreed to that for...reasons.

But as you said, we have had nuttier retcons, like Stavros Cassadine being Mikkos' son not his cousin, Susan Moore giving birth to twins, etc.
