I know its a pain to get a step stool when you need something but I would still rather have lots of cabinets. I have a small kitchen with cabinets all the way to the ceiling. Without that, I'd have to store stuff that I don't use often in the basement. I'd rather get a step stool when I need it than have to haul something up from the basement. Its not like you would put your every day dishes in those upper cabinets.
I was okay with Brian and Sarah's idea to have the seating face the wall with the view but I did not like the execution. If they were going to do it, they should have gotten a fireplace with a much bigger fire box so you could actually see more of the view than what you could through the little one they put in.
It seems every year you have one team that is more artistic and they seem to design for themselves rather than for the masses. which is fine but then don't be surprised when people comment that your design would appeal to a more limited number of people. That being said, I don't think Luxe for Less team's powder room was any more "bachelor vibe" and limited in appeal than anyone else's incredibly dark powder room.

I assumed it was from the tower. They said all of the animals got out of containment which is why the tower was deserted when Levi blew it up. I just figured they brought some modern animals with them from the future.

As someone who like wine, my thought when I saw those wine racks "What about all the light and possible warmth from the sun exposure?" Wine is supposed to be stored somewhere cool - if you leave your wine there, I think you are shortening its life. Yes, high end restaurants have similar racks but they are all very dark restaurants - no sunlight streaming in.
I do not usually share Sarah's tastes - she is usually to beige and modern for my tastes so I thought she could have gone with more color but I did like changing the direction of the islands. I wasn't a fan of her chandelier but it probably would have been okay if they just raised it higher. I did not agree with Dave's suggestion just to take it out and enjoy the view. Oftentimes it will dark outside when you are eating dinner - are you just supposed to sit in the dark and eat?
Despite the wine racks, I thought Paige would win. I liked the fact that when you came in from the garage, you could turn left and get to the pantry/kitchen and if you turned right, you headed into the main living space.

I don't care enough to go back and check the episode where Older Levi came through the portal to see if he was carrying them, but I assumed he brought the explosives from 1990 and buried them in 10,000 BC recently when he returned so as not to freak everyone out that his plan was to blow up their only opportunity to return to their time. I figure he brought them through the portal, buried them and then went to the clearing to find everyone.
I know wasps and hornets are entirely different but my mind immediately went to "10,000 BC murder hornets".

She works in the bank and was in the pilot episode where a bank robbery leads Nolan to become a cop. Since they were back in his home town, I thought it was a nice call back. Also, when they were being shot at, it explained her comment that he was bad luck she seems to end up in terrible situations when he is around. Since she worked for the bank, she was delivering the news that the bank was foreclosing on his mom's house since she hadn't made mortgage payments. And she wasn't really a girlfriend - he said they went out once in high school.

I know River saw his file last season but I can't remember why he got transferred to Slough House. River was going to tell him but ended up just saying he was transferred because he was too good and made others look bad. Does anyone remember the real reason?

I didn't realize Barbara said "Colin Powell" - I heard Colin Farrell. Still the wrong Colin for the Kings Speech but at least a little closer since he is an actor.
Also, I thought Janine did get the win - her second graders did beat Melissa's second graders. She just lost the bet on a technicality when Melissa figured out she could combine 2nd and 3rd grade. I didn't think that took away from the fact that Janine did get her kids to read and really challenged Melissa. It would have been interesting to know how the numbers would have been if the 3 pink eye kids had continued to read.
I thought they clearly showed that Janine did a fantastic job.

I think he did kill his adopted parents (if not, why hide him in the woods?). I agree there is no statute of limitations but I suspect the DA wasn't interested in trying the case. He was a minor when it happened, he was being abused and he would have the testimony of his adopted sister to corroborate what happen. I can't remember the sister's story exactly but what he did may have even been in "protection of others" similar to self defense. I'm not sure a jury would convict so maybe the DA didn't see any reason to bother.

My husband also asked why they let him go since he was responsible for killing his abusive adoptive parents. My thought it that they didn't bother because there wasn't a jury that would convict him for that - especially with the testimony from his adopted? (foster?) sister.
I was super confused about how Buck ended up with Emily and Denise as I thought he was still wandering around the woods and the convenience store when they were taken. I couldn't figure out how Buck got them from the head bad guy (never did know his name). Why take them and not just disappear? Kidnapping Emily ensures a frantic manhunt.
If Donno dies, that is squarely on Tonya as Donno has told her at every turn that getting involved in this is a mistake. It seems like he has been happy running his legitimate diner and it's Tonya that keeps pulling him into illegal side projects.
I don't know if Walter survives the season but it would be nice if he and Cormac could form some sort of connection. I understand his resentment of Cormac having a family while he was stuck in the woods but that's not Cormac's fault. And Walter seems to be a nice person (if creepy and weird) - he has protected other people at his own expense (his sister and Paige). Sunny's decision to keep Walter away is on her, not Walter.

What I didn't understand is why the assumption was that Selena was to blame for the guy's death. They took him to the hospital and had him checked out and he was determined to be fine. Then he gets beaten severely during the riot and subsequently dies. I understand confirming and dotting the i's and crossing the t's but wouldn't the initial assumption be he died from his injuries in the riot that just happened? And, frankly wouldn't LA still be open to a law suit because the riot happened under the LA PD's watch? And by the way, it seemed like it took way too long for other police to respond. Was no one watching the holding area?
I just didn't understand the tone directed at her. I would have expected more "He was beaten pretty badly during the riot and that is most likely the cause of death but until that is confirmed, we need to suspend you. We need to do this by the book to protect the City from lawsuits." Instead, they were treating her like there was no other possible explanation.

My issue wasn't that she played a prank on him - I've enjoyed some of the times she's gotten the best of him in the past. In this case, it was the reason she did it and kept it going. She knew something was going with Tim and she refused to accept that he didn't want to tell her. It was none of her business and she continued to try to make it hers. She came across as a nosey 12 year old. It wasn't a good look for her. I prefer strong, competent Lucy. When she was with Nolan, she didn't behave this way.

Chenford is a VERY popular ship. I totally get it, as they certainly do have strong chemistry, but I hate the idea that actors who have good chemistry with each other have to be romantically involved, even if makes no sense for the story in the series. So I don't like the idea of finally going there with Chenford, but it really IS a very popular ship. The showrunner/creator of the show brings it up all of the time, how many fans ask for it to happen. Up until now, he's done the ol' "It makes no sense, so I won't do it," but he's finally caved to fan pressure.
I like Tim and I like Lucy but I am not one who wants a romance between them. Back in Season 1, Talia and Angela tell her she should not date another cop if she wants to be taken seriously - its why she breaks up with John. So, here they have the original problem of having already said why she shouldn't date another cop but they make it much worse by having it be her superior officer. If they were going to go down this road, they never should have had Lucy work for Tim once he was done being her training officer.
Also, I know last year after the trial prep scene with Lucy and Chris, some people thought he might be working with Rosalind after the humming incident. I guess this episode ruled that out.
Here's hoping her guilt over Chris keeps her away from Tim for a long time although in retrospect, I really don't want scene after scene of these two staring longingly at each other. If that's what we are in for, then I retract my wish. Just put them together and have their romance be mostly off screen like Angela and Wesley.

Just watched this season and one of the things I was confused about was Ash going to get the Klingons - didn't we a couple episodes back hear about how he couldn't be seen by the Klingons since he was supposed to be dead? Did L'Rell just tell everyone it was his twin brother who also spoke Klingon?
The other thing I was screaming at the tv after Control was "killed" on Discovery - "eject that cage or transport it into space!" Don't bring the scary AI into the future that you are going to in order to escape said AI.
I also thought about the crewmembers that said "thanks but I'm heading off to the Enterprise" Do you think they got any shade about not being as committed as the rest of the crew? 😀

No only that, but as was pointed out by the other astronauts, he's dead so there isn't much more that can happen to him. I suppose they could sue his estate but there probably isn't much there. I think it makes things cleaner for Helios: "The responsible party is dead, there is nothing else for us to do"

My husband and I pull that clip up every few months. In a show full of awesome, memorable scenes, that one is probably my favorite. "...got a job in law enforcement, not once but twice, spends 3 days driving around with you while you were looking for him, and now has run off with a hooker half his age." Badass shit, indeed! And you are right, Nick Searcy nails it!

Did they actually say they didn't have backups? I wasn't paying the most attention so I very well could have missed that bit of information. My view is that C&I developed the weapon and then they took it to Kaylon to discuss truce rather than having to commit geonicide. The Kaylons agreed and as a result, there was not an immediate need to duplicate the weapon. Then it was stolen and the pressing matter became stopping the Krill and Moclans from committing genocide. During that mission, the weapon was destroyed. The Kaylon are now members of the Union for real and not because the Union was holding them hostage with the weapon. I would assume, should it ever be necessary, Isaac could recreate the weapon. If the Union are smart (which is debatable), they should ensure that there are plans if needed in the future in case Isaac is not around.
I also think having the Kaylons as part of the Union effectively reduces the threat of the Krill and Moclans.

Is that what the note said? I didn't go back and read it but I thought it said "This makes us even now. If you make it out of this in one piece you know where you can go." I interpreted that as this guy reluctantly helping him because he owed him, now they were even and basically he could F off if he made it out alive. Since Ben clearly didn't like/trust the guy, I figured Reese just told him he said good luck so as not to get a "I told you so". But at the end, when he was sailing off, my husband said he thought he might be going to meet the boat guy and we thought about the wording of the note and it could be interpreted as "f off" or "if you're still alive, you know where you can go for help".
I get Ben's reasoning as he told it to Reese but the flaw with it is that the Mexican doctor indicated that Reese's tumor could be treated and he would be fine. If that was the case, there was no need for Ben to help murder 14 Navy seals. I get why everyone else wanted them dead - 14 brain tumors would have to be explained and the secret tests would have been revealed but since Ben wasn't involved in the secret tests, he wouldn't have been worried about the tests being revealed. I guess he could say they told him the tumors couldn't be treated and were fatal and he didn't find out about that lie until it was too late.
I think the FBI guy let him go because there was no one else on his list that he was going to kill and FBI guy had begun sympathizing with the horrific things that had been done to him.
I was glad his in-laws didn't buy the frame job.

I thought it wasn't a flashback but a memory. He was having a memory and it came with color commentary from his wife. If that moment really was a turning point for Hamzad, then I image Johnny and his wife probably discussed it often over the years. And now when he remembers, he remembers it with 20/20 hindsight.

I just assumed they weren't showing us the 5 minute delay - not that there wasn't one. Like, we see NASA receive a communication and respond and when they switch back to Sojourner, its five minutes later and we see them receive the response.

I thought it might be the guy from Jamestown but I'm not sure. I agree, it did look like a big reveal. This guy seemed too hostile to be the one Dani shook hands with; it would create more tension if its the guy that killed Americans trying to get the defector back.

Even if not for Kelly, I think Dev has to do something. Its one thing to tell Nasa its their responsibility to rescue the Russians; it would be an entirely different matter to leave both the Russians and Americans stranded in space when you could help. Aside from it being psycho-levels of cold hearted, it would be a public relations nightmare.

My thought on the Union president surviving is that he is a different species and thus his vital organs may be in different places. I thought she stabbed him with every intention of killing him, she just didn't succeed because she didn't hit any vital organs.

S03.E01: Smells Like Mean Spirit

I'm choosing to believe she is still bad ass and great at her job but I also get her stress and sometimes you have to acknowledge it. She is in charge of a lot more than she used to be so she is out of her comfort zone. She doesn't cry in front of her team - she does it with the safety of trusted friends. Its probably very cathartic. I don't think it means she is a basket case. I do not, however, have any good excuse for why she wouldn't know what CFO stood for.
Regarding Nate - who is very hard to have any positive feelings about - I actually hope his redemption doesn't come from failure. I think it would be interesting for him to achieve his definition of success and still be unhappy because he still doesn't have the respect of his father and because he has absolutely no one in his life to celebrate the success with. I would like for him to choose to make amends rather than being forced to because he failed.
That being said, I do not want Rupert to succeed at all because he is a terrible person.
