Inquiring minds want to know where these people find the time and energy to write these books.    I'm a writer and I struggle to find any time to work on my own projects because my day is consumed with my paying job.   I suspect they use their notoriety to pitch ideas to literary agents, the agents find them a sweetheart deal with a publisher, the publishing house assigns an editor and possibly a ghostwriter to work with them, and only then does the "writing" of the book begin.

 

Joe was able to take time off from the show when he was writing his last book on President Harry Truman.

Mika was signed to write three books with Harvey Weinstein's company before his arrest. I think she was planning to have a ghostwriter help her.

I remember when Mika co-wrote her last book on food, but she kept making fun of her co-author because she gained weight.

Joe said he pushed Gingrich to get the budget balanced. He said people are tired of backbenchers like MTG & Boebert trying to stop aid to Ukraine.

Joe admitted he pushed Gingrich hard on the budget but there was a backlash against him. Luckily the rest of Congress realized Joe was right.

Joe said Johnson deserves praise for getting aid to Ukraine.

Joe said the GOP should have supported Lankford on the border bill.

Eddie Glaude was back today to continue to promote his book. Willie said everyone was excited about his new book.

Joe told a story of the late Florida Governor requesting a meeting with Joe when he was elected to Congress.

He was a 3 term Senator & 2 term Governor but knew that Joe would be an excellent Congressman who would finally get a balanced budget. Mika beamed at Joe .

Joe went on a tirade against Fox News for showing Pro Palestinian protestors blocking bridges. Joe says Fox News promotes Hate America First. Joe also complained about Fox focusing on illegal immigrants at the borders.

Barnicle was upset at the NY Times poll that showed that people preferred life in 2020 under Trump. Barnicle said Covid killed hundreds of thousands of people.

Joe said the USA has the greatest universities in the world. Joe said the US military is the strongest in the world.

Eddie Glaude said there is a malaise.

Mika was not involved in any of the discussions.

They showed a clip of Mika accepting her award. She said she took care of her parents when they were ill & her kids as well. Her children must be in their mid-twenties by now.

Joe was yelling about people who voted for Trump in 2016 & 2020. If they do it again they are voting for a fascist & racist. The crowd clapped at Joe & some people stood up to take pictures of Joe. Could Joe take over the National Action network if Rev Al retires?

Halperin was in the top square at the Zoom meeting. He was asking questions to the panel.

The other guy was the head of the research group.

Mark Halperin had a focus group of undecided voters in swing states on today. Biden is popular on abortion but doing poorly on the economy.

Very obviously.  He stopped talking and there was a really awkward silence for a minute (it may have been a bit less) and then one of them (can't remember who) started talking. Maxine Watters, Nancy Pelosi & James Clyburn have all appeared on Morning Joe to reminisce about Joe's glory days . Nancy said the female Democrats would swoon when Joe gave a speech on the House floor.

Joe went on an extended rant against Benjamin Netanyahu. He blamed him for allowing Qatar to finance Hamas & starving the Palestinians in Gaza. Joe is opposed to expanding Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Joe mocked Bibi for having a popularity approval rating of 20%. Joe said his support never dropped below 60% when he was in Congress.

Joe said that Republicans in other districts in Florida begged him to run in their districts but he felt that he had to be loyal to the residents of Pensacola.

I usually post on the Morning Joe subreddit. I occasionally post on the MSNBC subreddit when there is a discussion about Morning Joe.

I  love the responses on Redditt.

I don't think that anyone there has been watching and recapping the show as long as we have over here. TWOP had a had a Morning Joe thread since 2007.

The thing is, people don't "know" his sense of humor and so when he adds something at the end like "of course, Joe used to dine with world diplomats" people don't get it! Katty Kay was worried about misinformation on social media. Mika was happy with the Biden campaign ad which is trying to recruit Nikki Haley voters.

Mika liked the new insults that Biden was proposing being used against Trump. It will get under Trump's skin.

The top story today was Trump's social media postings. Mika said she went to church with Joe yesterday. the pastor gave a moving sermon without being interrupted by Joe.

Mika was outraged at Trump for rage-tweeting on Easter Sunday & trying to sell Bibles. Donny Deutsh couldn't believe Trump was setting himself up as a Messiah.

MTG  was mad at Biden for proclaiming March 31 as Transgender Day of Visibility. It has been celebrated every year since 2009.
