It depends on if Gregory is a long-term sub or just coming in when a classroom teacher is absent.  I was under the impression that he was a long-term sub.

The tech stuff tonight really rang true.  There's always some new tech or new program that will solve every classroom problem.  I'm just waiting for them to start throwing around "synchronous and asynchronous" (if you're an educator, you know).

The writers have impressed me with their understanding and respect for teaching and teachers.

If I had a nickel for how many times my district had implemented some new technology only to give up on it a year later I could retire.

Just a comment on Capt. Sandy. Minor, but struck me as odd how she had to make such a point about being “nervous” to marry a couple?

First announces it in the bridge, then again right before the ceremony (where her focus should be on the couple). So unnecessary to make it about her. This is the keeper of the ship. The top protector. This…. is what makes her nervous? C’mon.

    Sandy is all about Sandy.

  3. I was impressed by Colin owning up to Gary about gossiping.  Just the fact that he said to Daisy he was mad at himself, not her was something we never see on Below Deck.

Natasha impressed me as well with her self reflection speech at dinner.  She acknowledged she was being defensive and that chefs can have an ego.  At the beginning of the season I was confused about how Daisy and the other stews have their Pita Party podcast with Natasha.  At first I had the impression that their relationship was strictly professional.  At the end of the season with Natasha's apology, I can see how they would remain friends.

Alli, Alli, Alli...if she was on with a different cast I think I would have not liked her from the start.  But the way she got along with the other girls, and how she separated the personal and professional relationship with Sydney had me like her.  And then she got upset that Sydney and Gary were going to room together on the Crossing.  Then we find out that SHE and Gary are rooming together.  Then why get all upset about Gary rooming with Sydney if you're just going to do the same thing? I gave up on her when she did her crossing confessional about how Gary was driving her crazy.  You chose that girl, so now you deal with it.

I honestly thought that's what she meant.  Then she followed it up something about going inside and I realized that's not what she meant, at least on the surface.

How could that man not get up and hug his daughter at that point?  And really, how could Christine not hug her daughter, and go inside with her, leaving Kody's dumb ass on the porch by himself?

Kody made a point of saying he didn't want to go in Christine's house (which is why they met on the back porch.) If he went after Ysabel, he might get the COVID!

Then cut to the next scene where Kody is seen coming out the back door of Janelle's house to meet Janelle on the back porch.

I noticed the town they live in is Lehi Utah, same as where the Sister Wives first started off! Is this a fairly large city? I wonder if they are Mormon?

Erica's brother gives me a bit of a creepy vibe. He also reminds me of Donny Osmond and her sister a bit of a darker skinned Marie! Is she a tanner? Because she looks really dark compared to the rest of that family.

I don't know....something about this show seems so fake, even more than the rest of the large family reality ones. I don't think it is going to make it! What do you all think?

Well that explains it. I only saw a little bit and I heard the brother say “fillings” when he meant “feelings” and it reminded me of Meri.

This is a terrible show. But like other Below Deck shows that repeated the vomiting and dirarrhea plagued chefs now they have latched onto the crew sleeping in guest cabins so that they can bang in private. Who in their right mind would think that this is OK?  Especially after the cabin has been cleaned and detailed. This one has turned Below Deck into spring break kids gone wild. I hope this show dies an early death.

Since they can't leave the boat to go out and party, it will only get worse.

It's almost a Real World Las Vegas vibe to me.

I have just begun to watch the second season. I'm not even 10 minutes into the program, and Gary has already annoyed me. I'm not sure if he is joking, or if he is serious, but his assertion that women are jealous of his hair made me laugh out loud. Say what? His hair? Odds are that he will lose 40% of it within the decade.

Maybe he knows Trevor the hair model from Season 4 of regular Below Deck.  People were jealous of his hair, too.

Nonpareils, maybe? There are also the ones that seem bigger; I remember them as silver colored.

    I think nonpareils is correct.

The silver ones are sometimes referred to as dragees.

Totally do not agree with your opinion.

What is the TERRIBLE mistake Elizabeth has made? Come on now...bringing not enough Champagne bottles to the beach or forgetting to put down one set of party lighting is NOT a BIG deal at all.

The problem would be if Elizabeth was lazy or not behaving nice all the time and this is clearly not the case.

Elizabeth is WORKING and people do make mistakes. Elizabeth is still young and also learning. A Chief stew like Francesca is only talking down on her and NEVER told her anything nice. You have only 8 guests on board and 3 stewardesses, 1 cook and 4 deck hands , what is Francesca talking about? I could do it alone by myself....

For me Elizabeth is one of the kindest and hard working persons I have seen. Her smile and behaviour is genuine and from the heart while Francesca is all staged and false.

The terrible mistake that Elizabeth has made is that she's not dependable AT ALL.  When you only have 3 stews, you need to do your part.  They can't rely on Elizabeth and the work falls back on Francesca and Ashling.

If this were some other sort of job, Elizabeth would be fired because she's not completing her work.  Is she working?  Yes.  But she's not accomplishing the tasks and other people have to pick up her slack.

I don't think I have seen Captain Lee this angry before. The guest was very reckless to jump into the water. Why didn't a crew member stop her ?

It looked like Francesca tried but I think she let go of her so she wouldn't fall in to the shark infested waters.

What is the deal with pouring wine by the neck?  Heat from your hand spoil the wine or something?

Or it's just a mannerism reinforced by the peculiar practices in high-end restaurants or something?

I forget what season but in the past we’ve seen Kate train a stew on how to pour the wine, which is they have the bottle wrapped in a napkin and they hold it at the bottom.   I’m not sure why...maybe it’s just the “proper” way to do it.

The pie-throwing was my highlight....laughed so hard.  Nice surprise for sure.

I can't figure out, like others have mentioned, how Victoria/Michelle were driving that fairly short distance for 6 1/2 hours.  Yes, it was raining; yes, traffic can be bad -- but they were getting maps with specific directions.   What a nightmare for them...but I won't miss them.

Well, Gary is a Renaissance Man!  That was funny....he was not kidding.

I think the smartest one (forget who it was) picked out Jesus in one of the paintings....and had no trouble finding the "duplicate" because he stood out.  (I really thought some of the living doubles were not really very close in appearance to the paintings.)

I think Victoria and Michelle were looking for some grand-looking building to be the museum.  Instead it looked more like a warehouse, and I don't think they ever read the sign outside.  The Amazing Editors insinuated they were very close to the museum many times, but looked past it.

Speaking of the editors, I loved that they kept the camera on DeAngelo while Gary was talking about how he loves art.  DeAngelo's facial expressions made me laugh, plus his exasperated, "Who ARE you?" at the end.

So what did these women think that James was going to have a fling with them? Where do they find these guests? They are disgusting assholes. No amount of money could make me work or a yacht with guests like these. I think I would have quit on the first day.

It just reminded me of being a teeny-bopper and fighting with my friends over who was going to marry Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block.    As Laura from S6 said, they need to check themselves.  SMH.

I hope someone pulls Shane aside and gives him a clear description of what he is supposed to be doing.  He obviously doesn't understand his role.

I understand Francesca's breakdown...I think she feels the need to do everything herself because she doesn't trust the other stews at this point.  However, it's making her crazy.  I hope she is a better manager as the season goes on.

Charley, the primary is an ass.  I didn't like him the other times he was on the show either.  And his charter is going to be on a third episode?!?!?!  Enough already!

The whole team seems very disorganized.  I hope Lee sees this and straightens them out.

Those tides can turn quickly, at some point Malia will be out of favor faster than she can say how meters they are from the dock.  Sandy moves from one favorite to another, she has no loyalty, if there is a chance to throw someone under the bus to make herself look better you better believe she will do it.

Sandy strikes me as someone that loves certain qualities in person but quickly decides that those qualities now bother her.

Joao was smart to "jump ship" when he did.  Otherwise his relationship with Sandy probably would have soured.

Tom and his intolerance for apologies--I mean, I understand being frustrated that he got 1 kilo of frozen mussels instead of 2 of fresh, but it's not the fault of the poor delivery people, who kindly apologized for their company's screw-up, and it's also not the tightest bind a chef has been in on this show--I know there have been times when a guest wanted something that wasn't there when they were already out at sea, but can't recall what.

In one of the worst examples of poor management ever, Sandy stands in the galley berating Kiko in front of everyone, basically telling him that he's gone after this charter.  You praise in public, criticize in private. Not to mention choosing to do it in the middle of a charter,  What if Kiko said, screw this & walked off?  She's lucky he didn't.

If Kiko was a nasty person he could totally screw everyone over by making sub par food for the rest of the charter.

That said, if I knew I was being fired at the end of the charter, it would be difficult for me to be motivated.

  17. Jed and "Jeer" really don't look alike at all.  I think Momma Duggar got mixed up.  It's really Jed and Josiah that are twins.  I can't tell the difference between those two.  "Jeer" looks more like Joy.  I'm not sure which boy "Jeer" looks like, but it's not Jed.

Also, who wears flip flops to a corn maze?  SMH.

Now I know I am very very low maintenance, cosmetics-wise, but what the heck is a LIP MASK? And why would someone want to apply it, particularly on camera and in the presence of other people?

It reminded me of when, as kids, we would smear glue over our palms, let it dry, and then peel it off.  When I saw her face, I thought, "OMG, what happened to her?  Did she have a disfiguring accident?"
