  1. Has Crystal never been to a gym or a spa???  He she never been to a European beach?? There are so many routine occasions when friends (and strangers) see you naked, I just don't understand why she thinks this is a big deal.  (I think it is funny too that she likely didn't hear the knock and Sutton's call becuase she was busy on the phone with her friend criticizing all the women.)

Granted I grew up with sisters and went to a single sex college, but this over the top reaction to someone seeing you naked just seems put on to me (and absurd).  Especially after seeing how close she is with her female cousins.  Instead of "dropping to your knees and covering yourself", how about just turning around, grabbing a towel or going into the bathroom ..... what is she hiding, a tail?

My brother-in-law walked in on me in an outdoor shower on a beach vacation, I turned around, he said sorry, closed the door and it was never mentioned again ... because it is not a big deal!!!!!

Bocce is kind of a regional thing in Italy.  I've only ever seen it played around Genova.

Did Dorit model?  I can't remember.  But she would have modeled in Milano.  Maybe they don't play Bocce there.

They do play Bocce in Milano, and I believe all over Italy (France too where it is called Petanque) but I believe it is mostly men that play.

  3. Ugh Sutton!!!!!!  She seems very committed to her narrative of fragile, sensitive, "Southern Lady" and it would have seem to have gotten her far.  But the claws come out in her talking heads (no one reacts like that unless they were raised in a Women's Prison) ... I think her anxiety is the conflict between the "face" she has shown to the world for the hundred years she's been alive and her real self.  No one is buying what she's selling and it is freaking her out.

That said Krystal Carrington (!?!?!) is a nasty, manipulative bitch who I'd like not to see return next season.

I thought “yuk” when they began talking about the cave, but was glad to see the exact opposite of what I was thinking. It was beautiful and for once, everyone had a good attitude.

It was pretty funny when Luanne called the stalagmites the Dolomites.

I could have lived without Leah’s histrionics, which disappeared when they didn’t gain her any attention.

Teddi is smart to be cautious around this group - especially after falling for the LVP manipulation. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

But Kyle did the exact same thing to her this year.  Kyle invited Teddi over so she would be there when Kim trotted out Brandi to get the rumor on camera so they'd HAVE to talk about it.

When Teddi said she was upset about what Denise had "said" about her after Brandi left, Kyle cut her right off and said we have more important things to worry about (like how to take Denise down).  Teddi is not a very bright person.

Leah seems to have some sort of weird need to make a spectacle out of herself while out in public.  I think the same can be said about Dorinda.  Last night's episode was a real eye-opener for me in terms of seeing Dorinda turn an innocent conversation completely around on someone.  She's always done it, but when LuAnn gave us the play-by-play of it in her THs, then it really hit home with me just how often she does it.  I think of this scene in the movie 'The Terminator' when it comes to Dorinda:  The Terminator

"That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead."  🙂

Yes!  I don’t understand why they don’t have drunk, racist Dorinda berating the Haitian charity head (in a public restaurant) on loop.  She is a vile, vile drunk who, apparently, can’t see that for herself even If it is all on film!?!

I think production told Teddi to bring up Brandi at the table--not Kyle.

I don’t care for Teddi - at all - and she certainly seems easily influenced, so I can see the producers working her up.

I do hope someone clues her in on how Kyle set her up.  Inviting Kim and Brandi to visit while she and Teddi were filming is sooooo obvious.  Rina’s insistence that either Teddi or Kyle had to say it out loud, “since they were there”, and her talking head just shows these old cows know every angle and technicality.

When Kim and Brandi left, Teddi lamented that she’d have to go on a trip with someone who “blatantly” hates her - study grammar and vocabulary Teddi!! - Kyle cut her right off saying we have more important things to worry about.  Kyle is THE worst!!  She is a horrible actress and a transparent witch.

Teddi is like a lamb to the slaughter, but no lamb has deserved it more

Bravo was showing re-runs of Million dollar matchmaker yesterday and lo and behold ...there is Leah as the millionairess.. she was criticized for her masculine energy...ended up with a tatood edgy guy.  This was filmed awhile ago she mentioned her daughter being around 4.

So interesting.  She struck me as such a fame whore and I was put off by how her parents were hamming up for the camera and how she kept pushing her sister.

I used to look forward to RHoNY every week but I've been hard pressed to derive even a modicum of entertainment from this bunch this season. These drunken antics are tired and stale.

I am not enjoying one minute of this.  They are a pack of rabid dancing monkeys.

Dorinda’s inferiority complex and white hot jealousy coupled with her alcoholism are painful to watch, the others are just so jaded by now and Leah is the kind of woman who gives us all a bad name.  I guess Elysee is there to provide the puerile sexual comments Bethenny used to throw around?

Such a disappointment to have such a lousy, repetitive season when we really need some diversion.

I get the feeling that Richard's friends didn't exactly embrace Mrs. Medley because, well she's who she is and her personality didn't just emerge when she started on the show. I think that if she had made great friends from that group she would be much too busy to be on this show. And would find it beneath her.

Great point!  Am I the only one that sees the look on Dorinda’s face as saying “see, I’m being good”.

I can easily imagine her embarrassing Richard on multiple occasions with her messiness.

Oh yes.  What amazes me is that all of these women live in the City where there are thousands of men floating around.  Not one of them can meet a decent guy?  Nobody wants a drunken floozy, and their clocks are ticking.  They are petrified of winding up alone.

You take that back : )

The struggle in NY is real, that said, Sonja behaved like a teenager who just had her first drink.  You know Dorinda and Lu are the real problem drinkers because of the way they can bounce back the next day.  Practice makes perfect.

Exactly and she did the same to ABC Cam just to get a rose. She can be quite mercenary. It must be the pageant bitch in her.

When there was the drama between Hannah B. and Caelynn on Colton’s season - and the vagueness as to the nature of their conflict - Caelynn just seemed so shady (and this was opposite early Hannah B. who was incapable of making a toast) and Hannah, I believe, either intimated that she was a liar or said something about how she’s not what she seems.

I hope Hannah is appreciating that the “real” Caelynn has shown herself.

Remember the clip from TMTA they showed with Christian (in his weird tux with the short tight pants and no socks)...he called out Jordan... I think that Jordan was still steamed and his “buddy” Clay was an excuse.

    Yes!!

Also, I wonder if because Jordan wasn't making any connections and he didn't see anyone that interested him, he just started the fight to get kicked off (vs. embarrassment of not getting a rose).

If Demi has a boyfriend at home would Serek take this so well?  Or would it be like Jed and Hannah?  Because you are bisexual can you automatically date both sexes at the same time and it’s not considered cheating?

I thought I saw the wheel’s turning in his head trying to imagine if he could get a ménage à trois out of it.  (I’m a terrible person!)

I think Lu is wrong.  I do not think these women all want her to fail.  One thing I like about the NY crew is that although they fight like cats and dogs, at the end of the day they have had each others backs when shit really hits the fan.  They just get over it and get on with things.

I also have to give Sonja credit for waking up fresh as a daisy after whatever the hell she was on the night prior....it's the best she's looked all season!

I',starting to feel a little bad for Babs with being excluded by Ramona and just kind of standing around awkwardly trying to fit int but honestly, why is she there??  She's not a part of this group.

Everyone looked good at the party.  All I could do is shake my head in second hand embarrassment at Ramona's attempts to be "sexy"...I could barely watch.  Mario still looks good.

I keep thinking that Babs, who I find lacking an ounce of charm, was meant to be Lu’s safe place and a support to her sobriety (or sobriety facade).

The only thing I do like about Babs is that in the face of Luanne’s astonishing arrogance and ingratitude (and in this den of wolves) she immediately peaced out.  I think she’s also asking herself “why am I here?”  I wonder how and, for how long, Lu has known her?

I’m not sure the NY gals quite support each other - I’m reminded of Ramona clumsily screwing up Jill Zarin’s Kodak gig - but, they do move on, until the next time ; )

Sonja’s ability to bounce right back from a hard night of drinking makes me think she either does this A LOT, or more likely, as others have speculated, there is a fair amount of acting/exaggerating going on.

  16. Gheeze, Kyle in that ridiculous outfit!?!?! - not knocking her figure, in fact I'm jealous - but when you have to spend the entire night hiking up your 'dress', it's not right for you.  Why didn't she try it on first and have someone sew a halter strap onto it.  She looked so unattractive grabbing at herself.

I appreciated the Ramona/Beth realization that they had both had similar dysfunctional upbringings.  Felt especially bad for Ramona, as I hadn't heard her story before.  Wish the others had been there to witness this -- maybe they would be less snotty.

Yes, but the very next day Dorinda, who seemed so moved the night before, went right after Ramona for "making a face".  Dorinda gets worse every episode.

  18. This certainly was Tinsley’s episode for better or worse - it’s like we saw all the sides.

With all the speculation on her wealth, I’m not sure if I heard anyone mention her handbag line, which I think was big in Japan (snaps to all who instantly hum that song from the 80s).  She also had some foreign endorsement deals in her heyday.  I imagine, too, that she got some kind of divorce settlement.

With the exception of Bethany, I suspect she is at the top of this cast in terms of secure assets and income.  I think her fixation on a wealthy mate has more to do with someone who can both afford and sustain a certain lifestyle that involves being in the “in” place of the season (and not much else).

The real problem I see is that Scott works (!) and doesn’t “get” what a man with money means to her.  It’s not just the gifts, but the freedom to travel and not be tied to an office.  Even with all of that, I think she’s ignoring that her priorities will never be his and that throwing around money and HAVING money are two different things, as is “old” and “new” money.

I got the impression that she thought the car stunt was a little too nouveau. What she doesn’t want to admit is that the real, old money WASPs won’t have her and, it seems, that even a working schlub doesn’t want her.

  19. Dorinda is such a jealous bitch.  She wouldn’t shut up about how great she would have been at the circus tonight.  And last season, at Lu’s after party, she was slurring about how she can sing.

I think she was three sheets to the wind while filming her manic talking head segments.

  20. I came back to this show (after years away) because of Brian Moylan’s Vulture recaps; I stayed because of all of you. Great to be back and read everyone’s thoughtful, intelligent and funny analyses.

These women are all so incredibly awful, and I’m here for every minute of it, and then an hour more hearing what you guys thought!

For me, Lu just has to stop.  We had a year of I’m the special snowflake because I’m getting married (can you believe it?), then because: I’m getting divorced and now because: I’m in recovery.  I sometimes find myself liking her but those times may only be when she’s eviscerating Ramona!

Tinsley bringing it on the tennis court, and the tennis pro’s (certainly deliberately) fawning over her and ignoring Ramona causing her to storm off made my night!

I hate Dorinda and her inferiority complex, her rage and her inherient meanness.  John is awful but the way she treats him is disgraceful and unkind.  She is a scorekeeper, a judgey judge and an underminer.  Her winning fashion style and forthright manner don’t balance out the rotten core for me.
