Oh God. You know there's going to be a scene where Felicity follows Oliver to find out where he's been sneaking off to, and then seems him going into the house of ANOTHER WOMAN. Cue every imaginable cliché. What a lot of shit.
Oh and the Hawk people were ridiculous.

In the end it really is the happy cuddling that's the worst of it. Oliver lying in and of itself certainly wouldn't be good but it could be understandable since he's had a lot happen and unhappen to him in a day or two. All it needed was a different reaction during the cuddle. It could have even started with a smile but then switched to conflicted or sad. Does someone here send asks to SA either via Twitter or Facebook? I really would like to know why he chose to play the scene that way.
I disagree. I think the worst of it is the writing. This lot are so bereft of ideas that ... in fact it's not ideas they don't have, it's a back bone. Collective bravery to trust that their audience will keep watching a show with that most shocking of things ... a happy couple.

I don't care about the mother's motives or Oliver's reaction or Felicity's because this whole storyline is so manifestly an attempt by the writers to screw with the audience that I'm in disbelief that any writer over the age of twelve would think this shit up.

What an utter pile of bollocks. Fake angst because apparently the writers are incapable of writing a mature relationship for more than three episodes.
Just so bored with all the fake drama.
The show was so much better when it was grounded but it had to live in the same universe as flash so they screw over the parent show. Now with the LOT launching they're kicking it in the clacker-sack while it's down.

Sometimes I think Laurel is a handy scapegoat for all the things wrong in this series. I don't deny that her character is two-dimensional or that she's had no good storylines, but I contend this has little to do with the character herself (or Miss Cassidy) and everything to do with what a clusterfuck Arrow has become.
I'd say the shoe-horning in of MM and LL as BC in S3 were the clustery fuckest parts. Garnished with a shite Ras.

Did anyone watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? I really had no intention of watching, but someone in this thread mentioned rave reviews, so I gave it a shot. I had absolutely no idea that it was a musical comedy, and I'm not too crazy about that, but the songs are funny. The first ten minutes, I was kind of meh, but it got much better after that. I don't care much for Josh (the ex-boyfriend of the main character), but I already know I'm going to be shipping the lead and the bartender. I'm in.
I really liked it. Songs were funny, loved the "bitches I need to apologise to" list at the end.

I really like the idea of Laurel having her own signature move. Something that's just hers, not Oliver's or Helena's or Sara's.
We mocked Ray when he did the salmon ladder because that's Oliver's thing and it made Ray Oliver-lite. I associate Sara with the salmon ladder and I don't want the Black Canary to be Canary-lite.
Well, she does have her own signature move. Unfortunately it's the Canary Cry. One of the most ridiculous looking things ever committed to film. It's like the writers hate her.

I gave the male clones a pass, because they were all brought up as soldiers and so wouldn't be as different from each other. Plus they were labouring under the weight of not being played by TM.

Minority Report was kinda okay I guess. Good enough to go back for a few episodes. Thought the grandstanding of Meagan Good's cleavage was was eye-roll worthy and awesome in equal measures.

[Our costume designer was fantastic.] She actually let me have a little bit of input. I just have to say I was really happy I was not fully exposed. And they actually, at first, that was like their least favorite look and then Mark Guggenheim, our makeup artist, and Greg Berlanti pleaded their case and they were like ‘She looks better this way’.”Speaking of Katie’s Black Canary makeup, she revealed that the dark lipstick was her choice as well, and the color is MAC Vino, which I’ll now be purchasing as soon as possible. She also explained, “It’s actually a whole process and I’m very specific and love minor details. My bottom eyelashes, I don’t know if it even translates, but I’m really into fashion and I just love it. I take my bottom eyelashes and make them, do you remember Twiggy? So, I separate them with a tweezer. It takes like twenty minutes just for the bottom lashes. So, I literary sit there and like tweeze them together so kind of like have that more dramatic effect. But I think it looks cool and it’s funky. Spice things up a bit.”

And as an aside, maybe if she spent as much time on LL's motivations, story line, and let's face it her own acting, as she does on lippy, her version of BC/LL might be better received.

My favorite reaction to Tatiana Maslany is that it's like... I basically think she only plays Sarah, you know? I *completely forget* she plays all of the other characters. And then I look at a cast picture and for a second I go "but where are the other actresses... oh, RIGHT."
The new guy playing the dudeclones has never given me the same illusion, which is kinda sad.
Completely agree re. TM, but to be fair to Ari Millen all his clones were military so they're would definitely be less difference between them. Plus, you know, anybody is going to come off looking flat compared to TM.

The single biggest failing this season for me (apart from the Canary Cry, lol) is the utter lack of motivation or explanation of Ra's plan. We're nearly at the end of the season and I've no idea why Ra's is doing what he's doing. Honestly, what a lot of old bollocks.
Oh and fridging Sara. That was a big fail.

All of Laurel and Nyssa scenes read like really poor fanfic to me. And Laurel lasted more than half a second fighting two League of Assassin members. That's flat out idiotic. League of Half-ASSassins, amirite?
To be fair, I'm at the point that when Laurel is on the screen I just zone out, so I really can't comment with any accuracy on her scenes.
It's disgusting that a straight man is being forced to marry a gay woman, but not as disgusting as dipping chips into a milkshake. Is that a thing? Are you Americans trying to usher in the end of days?
This whole LofA storyline is just bafflingly inept. There's too much bad about it to even begin.
Thea still talks to Malcolm, who is still alive, and still not arrested.The flashback had no point.
I liked very much that Thea and Felicity actually talked to each other, and I really liked the Dig Felicity scenes. That was about it.
Edited to add: The Canary Cry. Lol. What a fucking idiot she looked.
