    It's not that surprising since they're talking about where someone was born or resided a long time ago.  A lot of it is embellished to make a squad seem more diverse or exotic.  I think the DCC popularized it by emphasizing "home state" on their show.  Now everybody is doing it.

All of the vets have photos from their previous seasons, mostly on the field but some old cameos or swimsuit shots.     Also, the different sizes of the cameos on the "Our Team" page is killing me! Ashlee's picture is absolutely TINY compared to Kelcey's next to her. Pretty sure I complained about this last year too. They need a better UI designer for their site. And while I'm ranting, half the pages on their website won't load if you use the back arrow to go to the page you were previously on and it bugs me so much.

    It would take just one person to keep the website updated and dynamic.  Just one.  I don't get why an organization valued at $8 billion plus won't dedicate someone to the DCC website and social media.   Call them an information coordinator or whatever.   It's kind of important in this day and age.

    Eagles fans are known for being obnoxious and violent.  They threw battery-filled snowballs  onto the field.  They booed Santa Clause.  They cheered when an opposing player laid on the field with a spinal injury.   There is a jail in their stadium to house the unruly.  A jail.   These are all facts.  I'm sure there are good people in Philadelphia, but this is a reputation their football fans (collectively) have earned.

    ESPN's First Take was filmed at The Star today.  DCCs Caroline, Kelsey, Dani (I think), Darian, Chandra, Kelee, Victoria and KayDianna were there.  The entire organization was featured with former players, Jerry Jones, Rhythm & Blue and Rowdy the mascot.  The event was well attended as sports broadcaster Stephen A. Smith is a big (fake) nemesis of Cowboys Nation and they had a great time booing him.  I enjoyed watching it.

    Tonight is the first annual Blue Carpet Kickoff event where the players will walk the blue carpet on their way to a season kickoff banquet.  It's supposed to be on Youtube or dallascowboys.com at I think 6:00 Eastern.  I think I'll watch to see if any DCCs are there.

    Caroline is cute, but I am not seeing it yet,

    I really think Ashlee could’ve killed it as point.  
    I’m on board with Kelcey though. 
     

    Love Claire, I really do, but still can not see her as point. 
    She probably will anyway as she is gorgeous and insanely talented. 
    But I prefer sass, and some flirtatiousness is the only way I can describe it. KaShara did it, Jenna, Holly.  Like I said, Maddie. I absolutely think Ashlee and Kat have that in spades. 
    I just don’t see it in Claire.  Maybe because I know how religious she is and the bias colors how I see her? 

    But Marissa is too, and I see more of that undefinable quality in her than Claire. I don’t think Marissa will be point though. Up front, yes. 
    I will try and put aside my bias and give Claire the benefit of the doubt this season.  
     

    Rachel W for example was gorgeous. She didn’t have it either.

    There is a new DCC FB group which I am sure some of you already found.  At any rate, the creator has relationships with DCC and has convinced a great deal of former DCC to join. (Like 40 now?)   Because of that it’s not at all like this forum, you definitely need to avoid hurting feelings.  But it’s just fascinating the stuff the creator has posted and some of you might enjoy:

    Thanks for this link.  A fine group.  I didn't know Gigi Pittman has passed.  She was a stunner from the 90s squads.  Best eyes you've ever seen.  RIP, Gigi.

After it ended I ran into Victoria Kalina and Tina Kalina at the DC merchandise store.  They were both so nice.  I also took pictures with Miss Charlotte Jones so that was amazing.

    I think VK and Kat get a bad rap.  VK seems to have mellowed out and become a regular member of the squad.  (I know I could be wrong).  And Kat also seems to fit in and she has definitely got the dances down better.  They're both good, deserving DCCs in my opinion.

    Most people who say natural hair as it pertains to black women are talking about what is known as kinky hair - course, curly hair that is unique to black people.  I'm glad it's "acceptable" to TPTB now.  I wear wigs myself, but no one should be forced ro cover their beautiful natural locs.

    You beat me to it.  I hope the article is right.  I already have Discovery Plus and I'll gladly get Hulu or HBO Max if they stream the show.

    Am I silly for holding out hope that there will be a show later, like during the season?  There's so much to cover.  Opening game, pink halftime ( do they still do this?), Halloween halftime, Thanksgiving halftime,  Christmas extravaganza and halftime, game preparation, halftime lockeroom, hospital visits, appearances, practices, interaction with Junior  DCC, etc.  They could focus on veterans only if they like.  I don't care.   I just want my DCC fix.  :(
