  1. Ok... Just watched it. I'm sad to have to admit it, but I'm #TeamRinna on that one ! Kathy was DARVO to a point that was disturbing ! She went there with an agenda, probably briefed by her advocates in order to deflect, but Rinna wasn't having any of it.

She knows how to manipulate Kyle (and I don't even like Kyle neither), and has been doing that for YEARS, but once she understood that Rinna wouldn't fall for it, she left.

    Disturbing episode for me.

ETA : and I'm apparently the only one here, but... that's my take on it. FYI, as I'm not an native English speaker, I also look a lot at the physical expressions, stance, etc. and... #TeamRinna. Kathy was in total damage control redemption tour.

  2. AFAIK :

    1st round :
    1st lip-synch : 3 queens. The winner is safe.
    2nd and 3rd lip-synch : 2 queens. The winners are safe

    2nd round :
    Not winner X from 1st lip-synch vs. loser of lip-synch 2
    Not winner Y from 1st lip-synch vs. loser of lip-synch 3

    3rd round :
Losers from 2nd round lip-synch for their life, one eliminated.

  3. One thing, regarding Lisa, that I found interesting is her ability to lie as much as she breathes ! One example : the fact that she always speaks when the cameras are off. She says that she doesn't... Cue a few minutes later, at the end of part 2, her going to Meredith to speak... off cameras (with the "ugly house" comment) !

Oh, kudos, and also shudders, to the camerawork that caught Kelsie in profile bathed in the light of the setting sun, gazing dreamily into the distance, and then...flossing her hair with her teeth.

No emoji can convey the face I'm making now even just remembering the scene.  I try to keep hair out of my mouth, personally.

Confession here : my teeth are very close one from the other and, yes, when I feel something between two of them, I either use adhesive tape OR one of my hair -they're thick- if I can't floss "right now", because it'll drive me crazy otherwise, lol !

I don't understand what I misidentified or misunderstood that you're referring to here.

Mainly this (sorry, I should have quoted it) :
"As far as producer-driven, I'm also seeing it elsewhere.  There's no way the Captain has no say in being roomed with the most child-like newbies of the crew.  They HAVE to have paid him extra for that nonsense (Also:  I KNOW the boat's small, I know it seems normal to everyone else, I know it's the same as the last few times; but I will never understand the Captain having to room with a crew member.  I know nothing about this boat on this business or any charter, but that still seems special in order to create weirdness for this show.)"

Gary is so beyond creepy and unattractive it makes no sense.

Daisy's attitude is infuriating from the get-go.  I might be calling producer-scripted on that, it's not he way for a leader to behave.  She's also homely.  There.  I said it.

There is NO WAY everyone behaves like such garbage right away without being told to do so.

Ashley's immediate hookup was more just boring than anything else.

I actually missed the guess showing up because we had to switch over to Gilded Age.  I very much hope there's literally no chef drama at all.  That would be nice and normal.

There's a point you're missing here : it's SAILING, not Motor Yachting... Two different worlds, different people/industry and, mostly, different vibes.

I don’t know who made it, but there was a look on the winning team that was a red top and bottom connected in the middle by a yellow strappy thing. As it walked the runway the designer said something about being able to make a look from one color. Someone remind me when yellow became a part of red? I was surprised no one called him out on that, because IMO it was the pop of yellow that made his look stand out.

    It wasn't red, but orange.

I don't for one minute think the guests on BDM are paying anywhere close to 6 figures to appear on the show.

    Especially minor celebrities.

I don't think they're flying out to Croatia to get on a yacht.  They could do that in more glamorous locales or closer ones like the Bahamas.

    ok

    Which is?

It depends on the boat, lol ! On this one, 50% of US$ 275'000 for one week. I think you can do the maths, even if you're not the best with google ? :)

(FYI : on google, search with : Lady Michelle super yacht charter)

My wife and I went back on forth on the name.  "Schwartz" has a good retro-hipster vibe to it, but "Schwartz and Sandy's" is nevertheless somehow weak.  Taking off the possessive at the end would help: "Schwartz & Sandy".  I wonder if that's just so simple it's not occurring to anyone.

A random suggestion what with them owning TomTom and wanting a name on-brand might be "SchwartzSandy", but that's really grasping at straws.  I considered "S.S." for a moment, but, er, that's unintentionally a bit of a Nazi problem.

I think the best I came up (other than the only slightly altered "Schwartz & Sandy" ) was "Schwartzoval".  Anyone who wishes to offer a suggestion to vault above that incredibly low bar is more than welcome.

"Bad name, no regrets" or "Bad idea, no regrets" ^-^

Curious - featured house with lower-level/basement ...how is it done? I believe  basements aren't common in  California homes,

When they do have one, is there an excavation  like here in the Midwest,  do they raise the lot land up around a LL/basement - or are they carved out of a slopped lot for a walkout?

You dig a big hole in the ground and go from there :)

I told my stud muffin I want a portrait like Dorito in the hallway.  He said o.k., when you look twenty again, my lovey pumpkin face, sweetie pie.

Late to the party, but... for my last birthday on June 10th, my husband has asked one famous painter artist -who is also one of our closest friends- to do a portrait of his favourite picture while I was modeling (~1986, lol !). I love it, tbh !

  13. I hope it's ok to post this link, but this guy reviews all the episodes with cultural references, time codes, etc., and it's amazing the amount of work he puts in it :

FYI, the previous episodes are linked in his post too ! It's worth it.

... On a meaner note, I legit don't get the fascination with Pupi. Her looks are rough, rough, rough, and she constantly makes herself look so old...

I have trouble to get everything too, because, imho, the translations/subtitles are bad. In French, it's quite unbearable, and not really better in English, so there's a LOT we're missing, imho. (French native speaker, who also speaks English and Italian fluently, and understand a little bit of Spanish. That helps a little, but we're missing a lot)
