  1. I haven't watched the full epi yet.  Mr Bowden has a very low tolerance for the NJ ladies.  Jackie was being extra with her syrupy speech (all while holding her blue Target gift bag) and all the making out. Teresa was watching it though with full-on jealousy.  I thought she was going to burst and bleed green.

I also agree that these people didn’t give a shit about Elisa, they ran around that hotel like it was an amusement park. Their glee at gaining access to her room was disgusting.

Yes, this was truly troubling.  No respect at all for Elisa.

  3. I appreciated the time spent on the ridiculousness of the web sleuths if only as warning how these things spiral out of control and the toxicity of operating in a vacuum.  A clearly innocent man was driven to a suicide attempt because of how these folks cherry pick their facts and twist their presentations to fit their theory. Going in, I knew about the video of course but I  also had some notion that she was having a psychotic break. The thought of her running around the hotel paranoid and alone looking for safety is truly heartbreaking.

The hotel manager saying it wasn’t their responsibility to notice or report odd behavior because it was the Cecil after all was bullshit. You remodeled and renamed several floors to appeal to young, international youth hostel type guests, you bear some responsibility for their safety. Her behavior was odd enough to warrant moving her to her own room,. She was also shouting “I’m crazy” in the lobby. What if someone just asked, are you all right, do you need us to call someone?

  4. Kary's use of her daughter's depression and suicidal ideation to one-up Tiff's stress is the grossest thing I have ever seen on a HW show.  I sincerely hope she is getting that child the help she needs.  She didn't  mention it to a group of friends looking for support, she just want to prove that her life is stressful too.  Did she stop to think for one minute if her daughter wanted that shared on National TV or the impact it might have on her?  Kary looks a lot like my sister in law so I liked her initially but she's lost on me.  But of course, true to form and Kary's criticism, D/Andra immediately launches in to her father's suicide and her estrangement with her brother.

I thought that the episodes on Peacock were the full ones, but now I am not so sure. They are free, so you can check them out without paying

I thought they were as well.  If you are enjoying the series, they are worth a watch.  I hope they are doing well through this pandemic.  I wouldn't say Angel and I have the same design aesthetic but I absolutely love everything she's done in the Chateau.

  6. There are no cast pictures on Robyn's website, just Robyn and the Katie look-a-like.  I guess none of them made the long term cut.   I thought Candiance's picture was stunning. She's quite photogenic.  As for the Karen's, it's like the photographer didn't even try. It was an unflattering pose and the lighting was too dark.

  7. Monique wanted the ladies to come to the podcast so she can show off her growth and how she's changed. First question is about Candiace and she can't even utter a basis platitude, violence it not the answer, I'm working on myself, I hope to repair what was damaging, etc.  She just spat out a "pray for us" with a pissed off look on her face.   I really was Team Monique before the fight but she's lost me.  I'm not feeling Jamal and Giselle at all.  There is no romance there.  Not even a kiss goodbye at the airport.  I'm not sure what they're trying to portray but its not working.

They should be been 1 on the first day they were born since that's the "start."

My mom, who was born and raised in Europe, does tend to see age this way. She routinely goes by "going to be age", i.e. on your first birthday, you are beginning your second year of life.

What native Chicagoan actually eats deep dish pizza on a regular basis?

    None.

  9. Candiace is within her rights to press charges and she has no say it what Monique was charged with or the potential jail time those charges carry.  I didn't like the ladies (kinda) shaming her for for that.  I don't even like Candiance and don't want to defend her at all.

The episode fell a little flat for me.  I didn't feel they did a great job of building up the Jaime/Dani romance, so I wasn't particularly invested one way or the other in what happened to them.  I also didn't really follow how the Lady of the Lake operated.  If she was making her regular nightly rounds, how was it she never came into contact with Flora and Miles' parents or Hannah when they were alive?

I did like Hannah a lot.  The character seemed so elegant to me, and her earring game was always on point.  It was sad she never got her happy ending relationship with Owen, but I did appreciate that he kept her portrait up in his restaurant.

One other thing that did kind of bother me.  If the kids largely forgot what happened at Bly to the point where they barely recalled Hannah, why would Jamie have been invited to Flora's wedding?  I mean, by that point, it had been 20 years and I didn't get the impression that Jamie had much contact with them during the interim period.

I finished the series last night and have been mulling it over.  The last soul the Lady of the Lake took prior to Peter Quint was the little boy.  Seems like a long unexplained break.  The nerve of Jaime really to launch into a ten hour story on this terrible chapter in the kids' lives at Flora's rehearsal dinner!  If I was in Uncle Henry's shoes I would have put an end to that immediately.  She's lucky she didn't trigger PTSD in both of them.

I only caught the end of this how.  It didn't look like there was reconfiguration.  How did  she spend three quarters of a million dollar?  I know she blamed Donovan for botching the budget but then said it was due to taxes and assessments, but any buyer knows what taxes and assessments are up front.  I think Donovan is shady but honestly, she looks stupid with the whole I was blindsided thing.  Did he write out the checks to himself from her company's account?  Someone had to authorize it?  Are there no financial checks?  Just a big bucket of money anyone can dip into without being challenged?  Our family does small flips as a side business.  We meet weekly to go over budgets and progress by project.  Every penny is accounted for.  And, were we're talking small potatoes compared to these projects.  But money is money.

  12. So, the pictures on the floor in the dining room (pics 4 & 5) are a design choice?  I like the colors/vibe of the family room off the kitchen, except for the coffered ceiling as there is not enough height in that room to pull it off.  The room looks squat. I hate the living wall in pic 14.  It looks fake.  I don't get the wine room, perhaps I'm not rich enough.   I'd rather have an office and drink my wine in front of the fire.

  13. I thought I knew this story but was shocked to learn how the girls actually died.  I assumed it happened the house and that they were asleep.   The horror of what actually happened made me cry for those poor sweet babies.  His own words on how they were hugging each other in the back seat...  They knew something was awfully wrong.   Social media sure is something.  It is amazing how we were able to watch her life like a movie almost exclusively from SM posts.  The juxtaposition of the perfect social media post and her life unraveling in the texts to her friend(s) was well done.  I think she was trying to convince herself as much as her audience that everything was okay.

I think Monique's behavior was psychotic. I am indifferent to Candiace, honestly. Worse than the fact that Monique was already crazy for grabbing Candiace and holding her despite EVERYONE telling her to let go, was her (1) walking away calling Candiace a stupid bitch and calmly telling the producer that Candiace deserved it; (2) running outside to try to find Candiace again like a crazy person; and (3)calmly talking to her husband about the fight in front of her child and continuing to defend her behavior. What.a.crazy.person. There is no defense. There is nothing that Robyn or Gizelle or Ashley or Karen or Wendy or anyone else could have said or done. Monique had already made up in her mind that she was going to come for Candiace like this. I agree with Wendy. "I didn't sign up for this". Monique looked really bad and to me, there is no coming back from this.

I was on Team Monique when I initially heard about the fight as I couldn’t get my head around throwing a wine glass at another’s person’s face. Seeing it play out, Candiance is a mouth and so annoying, but Monique was absolutely out of control and completely at fault. It’s chilling that she had not even one ounce of remorse.  There is also the whole level of “she asked for it” or “she made me do it” ickiness that I’ll never get past. There is something way off on the Gizelle and Jamal reunion. Neither one seems into it in the least bit. I’d say they’re faking, but the girls and now Gizelle’s  dad reaction is 100% authentic. Lastly, felt very sorry for Karen when Ray said he wasn’t sure if he was still in love. That was cold,

I found the Chicago wife to be annoying. I got the impression she was trying out for her own Reality TV show. She evidently memorized every phrase in the producer's script. Her walking into a walk-in closet the size of a room and dismissively calling it "too small" was the height of pretentiousness. Get over yourself woman.

She was a bit much.  I loved her husband and how affected he was when she spoke of her father's illness.  He seemed like a great guy.  I thought for sure they'd pick the newish suburban house and I loved that they picked the Pill Hill house.  I never heard of Pill Hill and spent an hour or so googling, interesting history.  The house was dated but I loved it.  I hope they keep some of its 70s glory.

She just told a man to paint the outside of a lovely original brick home, flat black paint.

The original house on that lot was torn down, so the lighter brick was new construction.  But, the black paint was an awful decision.  I really don't think that black paint, a (ruined) antique chest, a wine room and a built in coffee maker pushed that house to $2m.  I did like the iron/glass closet doors though.
