This is how I heard it as well. I think what made it a little jarring for me is that the two women have had so few verbal exchanges that they both seemed presumptuous in this conversation----Tracy in dispensing life advice, and Sasha in commenting on her employer's life circumstance and relationships. But Tracy, in 2024 Tracy fashion, managed to dispense some rare but exquisite compliments while criticizing Sasha's life choices. I was actually surprised that Sasha wasn't more appreciative of them. But I think Tracy came from a place of well-meaning, rather than a place of need. And, oh my, Jane Elliot is the definition of classic beauty. That was the only interesting part of the episode for me.

Team Shannon here, even while I acknowledge that she is her own worst enemy. I think it's because, while she can gossip as well as any of them, I have never thought of her as being mean---which is something I cannot say of Tamra, Heather, Emily, Alexis, Vicki and a host of others who are not currently on the show. I can work with a girlfriend who has faults, because we all do, but I will walk away from mean. I will continue to root for Shannon, but I don't think her recovery will come until she lets go of everything toxic in her life, which will include RHOC. Maybe Katie's not a troublemaker. Maybe she just has difficulty with verbal comprehension. When pushed, her recounting of Gina saying Heather helped her with her career was precise, but her interpretation of those words as meaning that Gina was saying she was using Heather's friendship to get ahead, was not. Glad Heather realized that. Also, I really do think Katie is a troublemaker. Emily, I don't care if you couldn't wear the same size as the others. You looked beautiful. And in my corner of the world, if not in the OC, your figure, and thereby your outfits, would have been the most relatable.

Anna. Sigh. Anna needs a friend, a sounding board, someone with whom to share her thoughts and feelings, so that the viewer doesn't have to do quite so much of the work of trying to figure her out. For example, we needed to hear her reflecting on her life and assorted careers, and what they did to her relationship with Robin, so that it would make some sense when she says that her primary motivation for helping Jason is that she doesn't want to see him do the same. It might also help us to figure out how she could say, to the man who just melted a murder weapon for his boss, that she can see that he has integrity (and he just silently acknowledging that she's right--sheesh!). People who weren't watching 30 years ago need the background laid out for them, and it wouldn't hurt for the rest of us to get a glimpse into her psyche. Robert would be the most likely support, but it could be Felicia, or Mac, if necessary. Just somebody besides robotic, amoral Jason. Speak of the devil---Anna has been too long one of my favorites, even through the recent ridiculousness, for me to stick around to watch the writers defile the character by setting up a romance with Jason. Nope. Dr. Gannon would be a nice addition to GH, and he clearly knows more medicine than TJ. Molly reading between the lines with Kristina and Michael, and coming to a logical conclusion that turns out to be wrong, is my kind of soapiness. And I enjoyed her telling Michael to shut up. I also enjoyed Kristina just beginning to realize that Michael might know more than he has told her: "Why do you believe me?" To my eye, Drew is the only person with whom Jordan has chemistry, and I prefer their relationship to either of his two other current ones.

I missed a lot of teen Kristina and Molly, so maybe what's happening now is just a reversion to form. Is it? Not knowing another version of her, I thought pregnant Kristina seemed so much more mature and thoughtful than the one we're seeing now. That Kristina would still mourn the loss, but would be sensitive about the name. Then again, the early pregnancy Kristina wouldn't have gotten herself twisted in a knot over TJ and Molly having an argument. Will all of this be attributed to a peri-partum initial presentation of bipolar illness? Alexis needs to step back and let time do its thing. Let the embers cool a little. The only real time pressure comes from the show runner, who is about to kill off the oldest sibling, but the people on screen aren't supposed to know that. I don't really understand the gun drama. Even if they find the one Kristina took from her father, the bullets won't match to the ones that killed Jagger. Lastly, and because of my lengthy absences----has Sonny truly never been convicted of anything? Seems like a convicted felon wouldn't be a "legal gun owner".

Hard to believe a one room wellness center needs a manager. On the plus side, I appreciated Ric just fast-walking on the treadmill, instead of pretending to run a five minute mile.

My only comment is that I like the set for Trina and Joss's apartment. It's become one of my favorites, and reminds me of the old brownstone sets. So much better than the hideous fake brick seen in Finn's apartment and now in TJ/Molly's.

Poor TJ. He took that whole neurology rotation when Gregory was suffering from ALS, and managed to walk away with...nothing.
-
Yes. That's what I meant by the writers perhaps not being able to write for him. I hope there was an unavoidable reason that he wasn't front and center in the Anna storyline, rather than it being because the writers simply chose that direction.
-
Sorry, that was just me projecting. I'm suspicious there's a reason Holly is back on screen, and it's obvious they haven't been willing or able to write for Robert (or TR) for a while. I'm hoping they will let him go out with glory, rather then letting him just completely fade away whenever it happens. But I suspect it will be sooner rather than later.

Happy/sad for our Robert and Mac scenes today. Wouldn't it be nice if Robert could put us out of our Sonny misery as part of his exit story? He deserves so much more, but I fear TR may not be up to it. None of the rest of the episode was worthy of a second thought, for me.
-
Agreed. I was actually wondering if maybe there'd been a bonus clause in his contract in the event of an extended death scene. To have had to do it under bombardment of water should have doubled it.

To my eye, KM was excellent in so many scenes leading up to the confrontation with Ava, and then in the hospital afterwards. She's clearly a capable actress. But I think even she has been having trouble investing in anything more recent, including the funeral/cemetery scenes and the graveside scenes today. Just too far over the top. I feel bad for the actress, because it must feel as though the writers are determined to completely undo all of the work she put into those prior performances. Come to think of it, she probably has a lot of company among the cast.

There went the rest of my IQ points.

Just caught up on a bunch of episodes. I'm an infrequent poster on this board, but I have read through what you all had to say, and I may or may not have spit out my drink more than once. Spot on, and thanks for the laughs! I remain fond of Shannon, despite her inability to walk away from her enemies (both people and substances), because sometimes she is the most mature person on the show, she's humorously self-effacing, and I think she genuinely cares about others. It may be unpopular, but I also like Gina (fellow native Long Islander), also because of her humor, and maybe because she lives the most relatable life and lifestyle. Emily tests me, but I appreciate that she is a survivor, and I respect her. And, shockingly, I might actually like Heather who is, I think, a victim of her own pretentiousness. If she could get past it, she might actually be someone I'd like to know. If. The rest I can do without. Jenn is sweet, but too clueless and weak, and she can't get out of her own way. Alexis is embarrassingly pathetic, and I feel for her on the day she realizes it. Katie had me at the beginning, but she's already been way too overtly calculating for me to trust her. And Tamra is, alas, and to her everlasting detriment, still Tamra. As to this episode, I had to roll my eyes (technically, many times, but I'll just mention this one) at Heather's distress over the impact on her children of the fuss over whether she'd call paparazzi. Lady, if you're that worried, don't call the paparazzi, and don't agree to be on a show that will make a big deal of it, especially when you are so independently wealthy. I appreciated all of the frank discussions around the dinner table, and especially watching Gina and Emily talk it out the following day. I sincerely hope their friendship survives the series. And I hope Shannon one day finds a friend who actually cares about her.

Definitely an anvil, and definitely a kid, whether Gio or not. These writers are not familiar with the concept of subtlety. We were also told, multiple times, that Sonny is back to his normal self, without any residual effect of the low dose meds. Not sure if that was to eliminate an insanity defense or for some other reason, but it came across as purposeful. I was wondering if the new doctor would have some sort of field technique that might save Jagger, but I guess not, since he may need a surgeon himself. The Lucky story is doing a grand total of nothing for me, so far. And yes, I'm icked out by the hair.

Oh, my. Still trying to calculate exactly how many IQ points I lost by watching these past two episodes. Apparently enough to get me to watch another one next week. Talk about a law of diminishing returns. Apologies to AH for the show having given him little to do besides sneer and twirl his virtual mustache for the past month or two. And apologies to the character of Jagger, so gratuitously maligned. In all of the time Sonny has been on the show, the one redeeming storyline was about his caring for Stone, and now that's tainted. Lucky's new doctor friend flew into Port Charles, yet is walking on a roadway far enough away from Port Charles that Ava can tell they're heading to the pine barrens? I wasn't watching during the Carly-funded Brook Lynn seduction of Dante, so I don't know anything about it, and would like to keep it that way. For me, one of the few bright lights of recent weeks has been DZ's performance. From the time we saw his visit to Lulu interrupted by Laura, even before the cirrhosis diagnosis, I don't think he's missed an emotional beat. There's a restrained sense of grief and guilt and concern for Rocco, as well as a sense that he doesn't really know if he is entitled to be feeling any those things. There's also a little undercurrent of something darker brewing, and I hope the writers don't ruin a good thing by sending Dante down that road.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, it's unlikely a person in a prolonged coma would be eligible, although the fact that they chose an organ that doesn't require a cadaver donation makes it just the tiniest bit more believable.
-
Wow. I remember reading an article, years ago, about Rick having Carly locked away while he was married to Elizabeth. I rolled my eyes and mass-deleted all of my unwatched recorded GH episodes. Guess you never know when it will come back to haunt you.

Putting my Nancy Drew skills to work to conclude that TR has not been well enough to be on screen for the past number of months, and I realize that he is aging. That may not bode well for us having Robert for the long term. If that's the case, and given that he's clearly still capable of delivering a zinger or two, I hope the writers will give Robert a front line farewell story. Maybe a Robin sighting, and definitely a legitimate reason for some Anna tears. I don't think I was watching much when Brook Lynn was young, so I'm in the dark about why she is so pensive. Don't have any idea why we're getting the Lois accent drama, unless it's to introduce the dialogue coach. Feels like filler material. And, demonstrative that there are too many little subplots on this show right now (or my failing memory), I'd completely forgotten about Gio. But, thankfully, there is now something for Tracy to do! I'm looking forward to some meatier material for JE, and everyone else, in the Lulu story. In many ways, even though I'm a JJ fan, I'm looking forward to this story more. Seems ironic that so many recent impactful scenes (Laura, Dante, Maxie, Tracy) have taken place with the actor playing against an arm.

Didn't Holly also emerge from captivity for her last stint? And wasn't she cooperating with Victor to save Ethan, who was also in captivity? I guess, technically, Nicholas is in captivity too. Re: the missing Scotty. Did he just run from Spoon Island when he saw Jason, or are we to believe something happened to him? I realize the actor is probably just on vacation, but they've mentioned him more in absentia this past week than they do when he's on screen.

I just watched the Thursday/Friday episodes. For me, everything about the funeral and the cemetery scenes felt off, and overwrought. I lay the blame directly at the feet of the writers, who basically forgot to tell the story that led up to those scenes. They seem to rely very heavily on after-the-fact verbal exposition, instead of showing us---which is an odd approach, considering they're writing for a visual medium. Without their having engaged me in the antecedent story, I find it hard to be moved by the culmination. Having said that, I've enjoyed both actresses in their scenes, and NLG as well. I was not familiar with Kate Mansi before she came to GH, and have been impressed (absent today's loud sobbing) with her skills. She's made me fond of her character. I'm not quite sure why we got any Deception scenes today, but it did occur to me that all they really have to do is put Tracy on air and have her claim to have used the Deceptor to achieve her timeless beauty. Sales will soar. For me, Maxie, Dante and Laura ruled the day. They made me anxious to see Lulu again, and invested in what will happen within all of those relationships. I'm reserving judgment on Lucky, because I don't trust the writers and because I am tired of everyone from PC being held prisoner somewhere for some reason. That got old a long time ago.

Yikes. Is this the GH version of a bake sale, or a car wash?
-
She told Cody. Don't remember if she or he told anyone else. I remember that he wasn't terribly impressed.
-
I got the impression is was because a) it was during work hours and b) he'd been made aware that Tracy and Violet would be riding at that particular time.
-
I fully agree with you. And it would have saved them from the convolutions they went through trying to make it seem like it was appropriate for Garcia to find and present the cases.
