  1. I think Abbie currently works. She might be the only Duggar woman to hold a 9-5 job.
  2. It helps that Abbie seems to be her own person with a degree and an actual profession. Living with someone like that had to have been good for JD.
  3. Michaela DePrince, a 29 year old ballet dancer whose story was featured on "First Position" has passed away.
  4. I realize this is a low-stakes peeve, but I hate that Taylor Swift released "Fortnight" as her lead-off single in Torture Poets Department. It's actually the worst track from her album. Very blah song that doesn't hold a candle to some of her other tracks, yet people associate that song with TTPD.
  5. I once reported a post for posting that someone was a "filthy N." It didn't violate the "community standards" bc it didn't explicitly spell out the slur. Ugh.
  6. So the other day I found myself with nothing but rice and veggies in my fridge. I found the most wonderful hack for those times: Thai peanut sauce. It's a great way to make any barebones meal feel full, because it's so tasty and rich. And the peanut sauce has a bunch of protein in it, so you feel full. Stuff is amazing.
  7. Anything with Jeremy Strong is worth seeing, full stop. I saw him in "Enemy of the People" on Broadway and he was also fantastic. #1 boy forever.
  8. Here's a picture of Ingrid with her children. Wow. Great looking family.
  9. Tonight I finally watched Ingrid Bergman: In Her Own Words. What a wonderful documentary! So much home footage of Bergman, and I loved hearing the reminisces of all her children, who seem to adore her despite her being a very absent mother. Bergman's beauty, charisma, and charm shine through -- she is one of those people who just seems to GLOW all the time. I am struck by how her four children look very different, but all have a striking resemblance to their mother in different ways. Isabella's eyes are like her mother's, Ingrid has her mother's facial structure, Pia has the same blond Scandinavian look and her mother's nose.
  10. It's probably an invisible fence collar. Fenna looks well-fed and cared for overall.
  11. I liked dress #3 the best, but the dress Jana chose was lovely too.
  12. It's such a mystery why having actual health insurance became such a heathen thing according to peeps like Jessa.
  13. I'm reading Truly, Madly. It's a biography of Vivien Leigh and Lawrence Olivier and covers their tumultuous romance and marriage, written by Stephen Galloway. It's very well written. I was so disturbed by how few treatments there were for Vivien Leigh's bipolar disorder. Also, Vivien's first husband Leigh Holman was a very good egg who continued to care for and support Vivien long after their marriage was over.
  14. Jessa is shilling Christian Health Ministries and her kids playing in a fort again. Sigh.
