  1. Aunt Deb (played by Carol Burnett) when she met Cath in the Season 4 Thanksgiving episode, was "pretty sure" that Catherine would be around for a long time and probably eventually be Steve's wife. When Aunt Deb returned with her fiancé Leonard last year and Catherine wasn't there, Deb asked about Cath. Steve told her that Cath told him to move on and that Cath had stayed in Afghanistan, teaching.
  2. The adult Kono was having a conversation with her mom as Nani was working on the boat. (Kono was wearing a shirt that implies she was in the police academy at the time.) Kono said "the weather has really been bad this year." Her mother replied in Hawaiian and Kono translated "good weather comes, bad weather comes too" implying that there will never be a time that the whole trip can be made with good weather and smooth sailing all the way. The next scene, Kono rushed to the hospital in a police uniform after her mother had had an aneurism.
  3. It did not specifically state that she was a senior. However I did a screen capture of the cover as he put it back on the shelf and you could read "Kukui High School Class of 2000" on the cover. The camera also looked over Fryer's shoulder at Kono's photo (probably one of a younger Grace Park), It was one of only nine on the page and all of the photos were in color, which is something that used to be reserved for the senior class. (Probably not so anymore.) I still have those photos on my computer, does anyone know how to share photos like you can on Facebook?
  4. (Replying to Bold) As you stated, the yearbook that Fryer was reading implies that Kono was a high school graduate in 2000. And we know from the Fan-Built episode that Chin was a member of the Class of 1989. So that would mean that there is 11 years between them, assuming that neither was advanced a grade or held back.
  5. They certainly can do it if they want to. The box of evidence that Aunt Deb's husband left with McGarrett needs to be returned to NYC. New Jersey isn't far away. Maybe its something planned for next season.
  6. Danny told Amber when he set the weekend up with her that they were going to Waimanalo, which is just outside Honolulu to the northeast. And indeed it was Danny's car she was driving as we saw the license plate "DV2 399" whien she drove away from the camera, which has been on both of Danny's Camaros. The door to the second house at least, most definitely opens outward because the exterminator had to step backward when the wife opened it. Perhaps they are designed differently in Hawaii for some reason of being in the tropics or something. But you could put a plank on both of those houses and prevent the door from opening, if you put the nails or screws into both the door frame and the door itself. What I don't get is how he put the screws or nails in the door without them hearing. They had to have been inside. They really didn't say where Grace was, but I thought maybe she was staying longer in Jersey visiting her grandparents. (I'm assuming she went with Danny when he went to testify.)
  7. We did see a photograph of Grover's son in 4.22. We don't know how old it is of course, but if it's recent he is younger than his sister. Edited to add: I rechecked 4.22 ... the photo shows all four of Grover's family in the same shot, so the son is indeed the youngest.
  8. Kono was not at the party either. Maybe she and Adam were off doing their own Valentine's thing, or were just late for the party? I'm glad Danny is letting Grace grow up some, realizing that all boys don't have an "agenda" or however he phrased it in the Hilton pool. I liked their conversation where they confessed to each other. Grace really is a good kid and Danny is finally realizing it. They must have been at Grover's house, and perhaps his family put up the decorations, and just were not seen. Since Grover was doing the cooking, that makes sense to me.
  9. I really enjoyed this episode. We got to see the talent of Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park who are usually more in the background. Besides her acting ability, Grace is very good as a model and it was good to see her in four different costumes. Its interesting to note that Daniel is the director of Episode 5.17 which is now in production. His talent will be shown soon in another part of the business. The Kamekona story was good too. I liked watching him cooking the shrimp on the hotplate and hearing the story on that ... and the guest star celebrity chefs helped that story too. My biggest complaint is that Danny wasn't even mentioned. I think they should have made an excuse for his absence.
  10. In the episode last year where Chin was almost killed in the perp's basement (the one who collected victims's fingers and put them in a wall safe), he talked to the bad guy about snow in Hawaii and even skiing on the Big Island at times.
