  1. I think you are right. Agent Gaad was the real target of the edit. We know Gaad has always been Philip’s target.
  2. I loved all the final season. I mean, I was sad about Elizabeth: Adlerholt is by far the best detective in FBI
  3. I was thinking about this and I wondered if maybe the point was it almost didn't matter which specific other woman Elizabeth was thinking of, since her jealousy comes more from worrying she's inadequate than a particular woman being great. Well, think She is jealous because she is worried she is inadequate. We can see it several times along the show. This is why I’m a Sistermagpie fan!! I would like only one thing: Ops…. I swear Betty’s age wasn’t a problem for me. I just didn’t notice it!
  4. Thank you. I think all are on Stan. It doesn’t matter what he feel for Amador… the matter is Amador was his Partner. And yes I think Stan didn’t like Amador too
  5. Unlike many other guys , I liked this episode. I remember it well! I liked it for intense emotion I feel. I know Betty could seem fake because she is too calm in the face of death… You are right here of course but I think the point is not trama; as you said all of this was a plot device. IMHO the point is to hit us with emotions. And it does very well. I really suffered for both Betty and Elizabeth. Also, and this is Sistermagpie’s idea, the show tells us Elizabeth’s main romantic fantasy: her desire to grow old with the person she loves. Elizabeth recognizes herself in Betty. I did’t read in this way: Elizabeth is in great trouble here. If I'm not mistaken, she hid a tear when she returned to Philip. It's the first time we've seen her crying to have done something that was inevitable for the mission. Of course She does a really horrible thing, but it comes at a high cost. She is very human here! Oh Yes.All characters. And that is great!! I never watched Med Man or Breakin bed and unfortunately they aren’t on air now, so I don’t know how they are. But I agree with you: The Americans is definitely driven by characters. My nickname tells the truth. I totally agree. Respect on top! And P&E are absolutely respected both at work and in life. I go crazy too. Ok they could have a normal life…I am sincerely convinced that they love kids and they are doing their best. Someone said only Phil love skids. I go crazy again… Try to do something wrong to the kids and see Elizabeth’s reaction… I want to be somewhere else… At first I didn’t like Martha. I don't like her now, but I find her more interesting. I definitely don't find her insignificant. The girl grew up. Lol… I didn’t thought.
  6. Hi, I’m new here. Thank you Sistermagpie to tell me about this com. I’m delighted to share my feelings about this show. IMHO the best show on TV. I’m Italian and my English is not so good as I would so I’m sorry in advance! First of all I tell you that I love the show especially for Philip and Elizabeth. They are well written characters, complex and complete. Really three-dimensional... And I love their relationship, their journey. I loved how the show is so mindful of detail. All the characters are what they are because the choices they made or what they faced. As in real life nothing would be the same for them if they had made different choices. I just started rewatched the show. I like discovering new things or that I had forgotten. And I love how the show stayed true to itself until the final credits rolled, and in doing so, proved how great it really is. Yesterday I was on S01x09-10-11 Here I’m starting with S01x09 I like P&E continues to work so well together despite the breakup. Elizabeth never blames Philip for what happened. She could have done it, but she didn’t. She understood him and she helps him. Now we know how they will be, but I also bought it the first time. They are excellent partners at work, they have two kids and they don’t want to give up everything. Even then I suspected she still loved him and that she drove him away so as not to suffer more. Fortunately, I never had to face a separation and tell it to the kids. I couldn't stand a reaction like Paige's. How I understand it. And how I understand Elizabeth’s sad look after Paige told her what she wants. ”We know what you don’t want, so tell me what you want” - “Why do you have to tell your friends anything?” That are so Elizabeth. I was struck once again by how P&E can talk about kids even though they’re in deep shit with Amador. I never like Amador. But I can feel Stan behavior. I think Amador flashbacks don’t work to make Amador feel like a Stan real friend, but I can buy Stan reaction. Even though they weren’t real friends, they were partner. There aren’t good guys here. Only persons! Philip’s ”Holy shit” is really good for situation… Martha’s “is it real” is as a shot for Philip. Nina did’t buy Stan doesn’t know who killed Vlad. Poor Vlad, the only one really innocent. We lost a good doctor!
