I could not stand Good Fucking Person Alyssa (“my friends call me ACE*”). I don’t love the ladies this season but I don’t dislike any of them as strongly as I disliked Alyssa.

Though now that I think about it, depending on what his job is, Brennan might make a good match for Alyssa. I think she would find him attractive (maybe not tall enough but she was pretty short) and she might consider him “good enough” for her. I think she might fit his image of what a good wife and mother would be. As long as he has “the right” job, perfect teeth and plenty of money, they could be successful long term.

    *Nobody calls her “ACE”

I really don't know why this season makes people so polarized. I usually talk about girls' power and independent women's stuff because it is who I am. However, the girls from Denver are extremely dependent on their husbands, their girlfriends and social media optics(finally I used the word of the season).
These three girls are three 'f***good person Alyssas who keep criticizing without any self-reflection, telling each other that they deserve better(not sure why).

I think what I loved about Alyssa is that she would not consider being married to her husband for one night but still wanted to move into the "shared apartment" and be part of the show, without the husband

It's like she thought the show would be her marketing tool, forgetting that she show is called MARRIED at First Sight.

Is it possible that the "Runaway Bride" issue was Show created just to bolster sagging ratings ?? Was it part of their contract to have the already chosen bride fake a runaway, then wait a few weeks to reappear as a new choice ?? Cleverly applied make up can change your look, even make you look like a different ethnic group. We never saw her front view...just long dark hair like Chloe....was Chloe wearing one of those quaint old fashioned veils ?? Remember when short veils covered the bride's face, then when the groom was given permission to "kiss the bride" he lifted the veil up over her hair and they kissed ?? {Gawd, I'm OLD}.  Mike's group would be so busy gawking at each other after her refusal that they wouldn't pay too much attention to her [especially veiled.} The bride's group was likely producer's friends or out of town Little Theatre actors..."Hey, I need 2 sorority sisters, a Mom and Dad, a stepfather, an elderly Auntie, and a gay male cousin. That should be enough, budget, y'know."

At this point, the participants might as well be deepfake artificial intelligence.

I think fake AI people might have a better chance at a successful marriage when compared to this crew.

A few years ago, I got my Doctorate degree in Clinical Bullshit.  Based on my analysis, Clare and Becca are full of it.

Have you considered applying to the show as an expert?

I am sure you will do a much better job than these clowns.

I resent the fuck out of Beth characterizing women who call police to report DV as "trashy." That makes me really angry.

    I agree...what the Hell.

They were a bizarre couple that seemed to get off on each other's toxicity.

My heart goes out to all people who suffer domestic abuse and hope that they can find a safe space.

I wish someone would reach over and knock that damn ball cap right off of Austin’s head.  Come on, man.  He looks like he’s about 14-years-old.

Worse, he looks like a somewhat thicker guy in his 30s who is dressing like a 14-year-old skater who can't skate (skater who can't skate was how he described his style in his own words).

Kenya is going to have a field day with this news given how Porsha and the others used to always say that Kenya cannot keep a man.  The Kenya/Porsha rivalry will be on steroids next season.

Kenya might have had a longer marriage than both of Porsha's marriages put together.

Of course, most of Kenya's marriage was Mark trying to get as much money as possible out of the divorce which is kind of like Bethany's marriage from New York.

If you have so many secrets that need protection (whatever that means), then what the hell are you doing on this show in the first place?

I stopped watching after the Boston season (I live in the area) and started up again halfway through this season because I wanted to watch Prison Brides which follows it. Married at First Sight jumped the shark years ago. Someone needs to put this crapfest out of its misery.

I keep wondering who got custody of the goldfish, Becca or Austin?

Maybe the producer the goldfish was named after will take care of it, probably with Austin.

Also, being married puts more pressure on these people to stay together than in a regular dating relationship, so any instinct to cut and run is always counteracted by wanting to follow through on the commitment because it's supposedly a life long one which she was likely serious about keeping.  So that only makes it harder to cut and run as well as more hurtful than in a regular dating relationship.  Add to that production and the experts in her ear encouraging her to stay and telling her it's "fixable" and it's only harder

You understand the premise of this show far better than anyone actually involved with MAFS

Yeah and their son or Daughter but I feel more parcial to the idea that they would have had a son would have been the perfect foil to Harris.

That would have been a cool idea.  It would take the Connors into the 21st century better.

Exactly. Replace "models, actors, singers" with "influencers."

Exactly. Replace "models, actors, singers" with "influencers."  "broke ass desperate people who have no desire to be married, let alone to a stranger".

    Fixed that for you.

Sadly, calling these people "influencers" or wanna-be influencers might be far too kind.

Don't worry about that. Even convicted criminals have their dedicated fans.

I'm guessing those criminals are far more interesting than this batch of weirdos.

I originally thought Becca was nice, but for the love of God woman, have a little pride.

There is no reason to be simping for this guy.

Lecy on Becky and Mark (Glenn) ❤️during the recent interview

“Aww I love that question, I think they would have had a really wonderful relationship, Inevitably there would still be conflict I think with Dan because  you know they butted heads a lot. But I think Becky and Mark really had a real love and were compatible. …and um he’s also pretty cute I mean I think that and Becky also thinks that. No but he’s also sweet you know he’s a wonderful actor and a wonderful person  we miss him very much…”

She always has been a Becky and Mark supporter. She wouldn’t have traded/switched Mark for David.

Mark would have probably been a hard working stand up guy.

I think Candiace doesn't go in on Ashley like she should because she likes and feels sorry for Ashley's mother and feels sorry for Ashley herself for having to grow up in the conditions Sheila provided for her. It's clear and apparent to everyone Mama's elevator doesn't go all the way to the penthouse floor.

That's certainly more Grace than Ashley has shown anyone who does not have incriminating video of Michael.

Okay, so you've got to start learning to speak Mia:

"I've got an inheritance" = "Some old man who used to frequent the strip club gave/left me a stack of cash and I never told G because I wanted him to think he was the only one."

Perhaps "Inheritance" is the name of her pimp?

I am not even shaming her for being a sex worker but for being a liar that lies.

Next, week we will learn that she is a lost far faraway princess who was stripping at the Red Lobster in a gown until Gordon convinced her to get married.

So I get that Susie Essman decided to go over the top with costumes this season, but I guess she extended that to her new hairdo. That’s a choice! I was at least used to the Rhea Perlman-style perm.

Speaking of fashion choices, Leon sure has a lot of audacity for poking fun at that gaudy clothing store considering the ridiculous camo leggings and animal print jacket combo he was sporting as he’s pushing 60.

I was beginning to wonder if Leon was color blind...nah, it's just bad taste.

I was pretty sure that one of the guys last season (I think) had moved to be on the show. The one who was living in his parents’ friends’ basement? I think he moved back right after the divorce.

Yes, he lived in his female best friend's parent's basement but supposedly owned a marijuana business in Michigan.

That is a strange sentence I just wrote...

They are a good couple. She needs to be more secure and handle the women. She has the best marriage of the group.

I saw a YouTube video on Jamal Bryant and he makes Juan look like husband of the year. Usually, Juan does not even get the Best Roommate of the Year award.

GEB has all the smoke in the world for women but are spineless pathetic doormats when it comes to men.

The way Eddie lights up when he sees Wendy is something they do not understand since both Jamal and Juan run away like the wind when they see them,

It seems to me that over the last several seasons, the show has, perhaps, hired/cast/selected these young women with very large breasts. I also think that these women may be living with the thoughts of a younger generation in that "bras are for grandmothers and mothers. Not us! We are young and free and vibrant and we don't need no stinking bras!" OR, maybe these women are so desperate for a husband and nothing has worked so far, so they are leading with their strongest assets to get a guy interested?

That said, and I have mentioned this before, as large as they are, and spending years without support, is going to take a toll on their backs, much sooner than the mothers and grandmothers who bothered to wear supportive undergarments!

As a large-breasted petite woman who likes to swim, I say AMEN!!!!

I need a good support garment with my swimsuit.

I'm 39 but this post makes me sound like I am 100.

Maybe I should borrow Chloe's fake vintage trunk...
