Here we go again. 🙄 Something about a May 3rd deadline with the bank regarding renewed foreclosure proceedings on their home. We shall see...

It's amazing how Kim keeps on getting about 4 million chances to not lose her home.

I guess she's hoping one of her daughters finds a Big Poppa.

HATED THIS SEASON!!! There....I said it.

What did I hate? Her dumping Benjamin for her useless cheating idiot of a husband even though they really didn't officially "get back together." This season I found really boring. I didn't like the whole "on the road" thing and it had way more of Midge on stage, which is excruciating to watch. Way too much! How can someone who is supposed to be a stand up comic suck at it so badly? Any time there's a movie about stand ups, like that horrible thing Sally Field and Tom Hanks did, it is God-awful!!!! Maybe they should perhaps, oh...I don't know...maybe enlist a REAL comedian to do the writing because these scenes are pathetic.

IF there's a season four I really don't think I'll watch. Apple TV's "The Morning Show" was so vastly superior in every way - writing, acting, etc. that Meisel, in comparison, looks grossly amateur.

Thank you...I felt exactly the same way.

I will put this under a spoiler.

    Spoiler

.They will sacrifice the dignity of the Weismans (sp?) to make Joel and his family look good.  You will probably hate the Weismans and love the Maisels by the end of the series. The show suffered for it but the acting is superb and the set pieces are divine.

The show is worth finishing for just those 2 things alone.

    Spoiler

    Sorry, double posted.

I'm currently on season 6. Between flirting with married men and body shaming other women, Kenya doesn't come across as a girl's girl at all. I get the impression she is a little too aware of how pretty she is. But she is definitely entertaining with her antics.

Lord, when she went into that event wearing a copy of Phaedra's swimsuit with fake booty cheeks, I honestly thought she lost her dang mind.

The best was the deer-in-headlights look that Walter always gave her when she kept asking when he was going to marry her.

I think "Gone With The Wind Fabulous" started in that season.  I think she actually made a music video.

Thats true, but she is still young in the show right? My early 20s I effed up big time more than once. But I turned it around as i got older....I hope her character has that arc. Early 20s is too young to give into 'my life is garbage' mentality. And I find the actor 10x more interesting than Mark's actor.

I went back and fixed it.

Sorry, I had community college on my mind.

I should have realized that would make way too much financial sense for this family.

I remember when Harris got accepted to a crappy college and she pointed out to Darlene that she would get nothing out of the place but a mountain of student loan debt.

But, but, but Darlene is the manager - because there wasn't one before.   (which makes no sense). But, if Darlene is the manager, who is the "they" that told her she has to be there are 5 am?  And she has to be there because someone else can't be trusted because of whatever - but las week they said there is no schedule.

I imagine a college cafeteria manager might have at least an associate's degree in some sort of hospitality science.

In "The Middle", which is another show about a family that is always on the verge of being broke, the husband is a quarry manager.  Some posters looked it up and that type of job needs an advanced degree in Geology and pays very well.

They are not representing the hard work necessary to do those types of jobs.

Also, Darlene hates people by her own admission...so, how the hell is she going to handle the staff and demanding students in a hospitality-related job?

A college cafeteria will have more complexities than a small business like Jackie's lunchbox.

Just like quarries blast through the earth it would be dangerous to have someone in charge with no scientific knowledge about such things.

It's not going to be easy to come after her relationship again, because Gordon fell on his sword like it was part of his alimony settlement.  He either truly feels she hasn't done wrong by him and is continuing to be a good friend/partner/co-parent, or he can SERIOUSLY play the game to keep her sipping out of that flute.  I don't know which, but it was impressive either way.

I don't know if this is true but there is a rumor that Mia is stepping on Gizzy's toes because she is revealing all her scandals and that was supposed to be Gizelles' storyline for next season.

Gizzy was supposed to reveal, next season, that Mia's son is not Gordon's child (like she was trying to do with Monique but this time it might be true).

Mia might not be smart but she is crafty.

When I saw Gordon waving and smiling to the man who cuckolded him...I nearly fell out of my seat. That was probably the craziest thing in the whole reunion.

    2. OK - maybe TMI, but I would not want someone sitting their bare butt on my couch.  And then I sit my bare butt in the same place later? Eww!! So unsanitary! And don't most people have a little "leakage" here are there from body orifices? How is that handled?

My issues with nudists have everything to do with hygiene and very little to do with modesty.

Juan is smart enough to know that if he leaves, he'll be on the hook for child support. If he stays, he can stay jobless AND Robyn will continue to pay for everything. If only he was smart enough enough to know not to cheat in public, as well as to not leave literal and figurative receipts behind.....

    THIS!!!!

If Juan was smart, he would have played up his and Robyn's relationship for the cameras to keep that big howife check.

Juan is good-looking (just ask Michael) and Robyn had a regular girl vibe that would have played well with the viewers. He should have kept up the pretense and then done laundry on the side with whoever he wanted (we know Robyn is never going to say anything to him).

Robyn's parents are probably going to have to help pay some mortgage payments in the future if neither of them can get any more high-paying jobs.

  9. I hope her family is okay. They must feel so violated.

    Maybe it was the GEB's.

If it was the GEBs then I expect Gizzy and Robyn to blame Candiace for their despicable actions.

I do not think Dr. Osefo benefits from this show.  She needs to go on to better things. She had a career at a prestigious university.

That is more impressive than being a tacky ass howife.

  10. My thoughts on Mia's inheritance.

I wonder if there was an older couple that Mia was involved with (perhaps a sex worker throuple situation), who left her some cash in their will.

Or more likely an elderly sugar daddy that was not Gordon.

That makes more sense than fairy grandparents who let you go into foster care but leave you a ton of money after they die.

At this point, any pretentiousness about this show being upper-crust has been flushed down the toilet.

I noticed they kept showing Airris for the reaction shots.  Not sure why.  But they sure did go to him a lot.

When Arris is your excitement "go to" then your show is officially less interesting than a traffic jam.

I have to give Doug and Jamie credit - married 10 years and two kids, with a miscarriage in there and some other heavy stuff. I know here is a fair amount of criticism of them but ... they are still married. I was shocked when they sort of casually alluded to Doug having been on medication to prevent relapse (in alcoholism, it seemed) that he kept secret from Jamie. Just besides the logistics of taking a daily prescription med that your spouse doesn't know about, how do you just break into conversation one day "hey honey, I've been on Antabuse for the last ten years and just now thought I'd mention it?" And then they just as casually went on to the next subject.

Doug had lied to her before about credit card debt and caused them to lose out on a house.

I will give them credit for being married for a decade. That is impressive.

Wendy’s shower hair is horrible! She has gone way over the top with her look again and not in a good way. Who is responsible for Candiace’s eyebrows because they need to take accountability for the horrible job that was done. Karen’s makeup was too harsh, she looks much better with less makeup. Robyn missed the mark with whatever costume she wore. Gizelle actually looked a smidge classy.

There have been comments that the lighting was off because so many people's makeup colors look strange.

I see what you're saying but I actually think the last decent season was the one in New Orleans.  After that it just went straight into the toilet.

    I agree.

I don't know if it was the Pandemic or what but this season was a complete waste of everyone's time and that was the last season that I was kind of invested in the couples.

Also, that season produced Woody and Armani. They are one of the show's few success stories.

I think Michael is reluctant to live with Chloe, whether they're renting or buying.  She's already told him she envisions living on some ranch with enough land and room for her animals and foster kids.  That is a lot a lot for anyone to deal with, and I just don't think he's on board with that.

Even if they say Yes on Decision Day, I don't think they'll stay together.

Why the Hell would you match a woman who wants a lot of land and a farm with a man who enjoys living in a high-rise in the city?

Those are two different lifestyle choices.

There are some people I know that live in NYC and have places "out in the country" but that takes a lot of money to maintain.

Tbe few times Robyn did call out Gizelle....Gizelle legit looked remorseful and quickly said sorry to Robyn without justifying her actions.

Robyn's reactions when Gizelle would do one of her odd beauty things.

I think it is because Robyn is both kind of nice and kind of dumb.

If Robyn has the nerve to tell Gizzy that she looks bad... then damn she must be looking terrible.

I think Robyn is much closer to Charisse but Gizelle keeps her on the show.
