Saw all the comments on PT, Reddit and fan forums, so thought I'd add some very brief 2 cents. I've been on this forum with different names over the course of several years. I will admit, in particular when it comes to Marissa, that yes some comments and users did probably cross many lines. That being said, I do have to raise some eyebrows when I hear her say things along the lines of "These forums shouldn't exist." No, I reject that. Forums, especially Primetimer, help keep the DCCs and the organization grounded. Holds them accountable. Maybe many of them don't like it, but people are allowed free speech. Also, is it not part of being on a TV show? You want fame, attention ... but only positive attention? Part of being an adult is realizing that not everyone is going to like, agree or want to praise you. (It's one of my growing issues with Reddit. The downvote button means that only certain views are really allowed, while dissenting ones are hidden. I may not agree with every other user here, but I am more than willing to engage in discussion. In Reddit, there isn't a whole lot of discussion. ) Anyways, I would think Marissa and her fans/family still follow this forum since she's talking about it. Perhaps she would like to actually come on here and address these "issues" or "bullying" instances? Or maybe she doesn't want step outside her tiktok bubble?

Just jumping in to thank all the users who are doing their part to update us fans. You'd think TPTB would jump at the chance ... but alas. I do miss the days of constant info, but really appreciate the effort that is going on here.

Yes, exactly! Which makes the social media-type things so much more frustrating to me. But then again, I think it might just be I'm getting older. I'm sure to younger viewers the social media prescience is definitely more of an asset. Either way, with no more show I do have to admit SM is the closest thing we'll get to "knowing" this rookie class.

Agree with both comments, but sadly in this day and age this is what makes a good DCC apparently. It doesn't matter if you have "talent" or conduct yourself well. You just need a cute "personality," a social media following and fans on Reddit to marvel at how "pretty" or "underrated" you are and you're all set.

Thanks for speaking up on this. Really appreciate it. I love how this forum encourages discussion and doesn't try to shut people down. There are times where I fear we're slowly losing that here, so it's nice to see users stand up for free discussion.

Some info: Apparently all this talk about Kat retiring might be a bit premature. Source says nothing is really set in stone and that a lot can happen in between now and the end of the season. Also is insisting that the 5-season mandate is factual and that Ashlee, Caroline and Jalyn will retire at the end of this current season.

Just got on here after a couple of days away and all I have to say is ... How absolutely happy I am it seems things are picking up again. Someone said it before, and they were right, but the board these past months (year) has been pretty dead recently so it's cool to see conversation starting up again. Just want to wish Caroline and Kelcey well. I know there's been this whole debate about Ashlee being "robbed" or not, but I think congratulations are in order for two very hard-working and stellar DCCs! :)
