  1. Actually technically, the longest wait times to immigrate to the U.S. by country are the Philippines, China, India and Mexico. Wait times are longest for non-immediate relatives of petitioners. For example, the current wait for Filipino siblings of adult American citizens need to wait an average of 23 years to be eligible for a green card. It has a lot to do with the volume of applicants.
  2. I used to be a big fan of diving. I was still a teenager and I remember watching 15 year old Ken Terauchi at the 96 Olympics, then seeing him again in 00, 04 and 08. He was never really a medal contender but he always made it to the finals. This was my first time watching a diving finals in a decade. I watched the livestream and it was nice to see him at 40 at his 6th Olympics still pursuing that dream of getting a medal. I'm 40 now too and it just brought a wave of nostalgia and bittersweet feelings of unfulfilled teenage dreams. I wish him the best if this is his last Olympics or if he decides to keep pursuing his dream. https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2021/04/2f7c8f4d661f-gravity-of-tokyo-games-situation-pushing-terauchi-to-dig-deeper.html
