  1. Apologies in that case. I know snark/sarcasm is big on this forum, but I find it hard to determine what is genuine and what isn't online at times.
  2. I ain't here to shut down discussion. I know what the rules are. Y'all can say what you wish. I never said anyone couldn't. I said my piece like everyone else does. I think trying to take forum critiques/suggestions to Kelli and them through email or something like they got any reason to listen is a fruitless endeavor. I don't think they matter to them and I think that there's good reason for that. Don't mean someone can't state them here or take it to them if they wish. I also just think that despite many negative perceptions of the DCC's management they are thriving (especially for an NFL cheerleading squad). Not sure where I blundered. It feels like to me that I'm not allowed to say good things about the DCC or dissent from the clearly more popular negative sentiments/play defense without being accused of attempting to regulate conversion. Don't want trouble though so I'm through with it. I got some posts wiped before in which I was policing, but I believe I have learned my lesson since.
  3. Agreed. Truth be told, I think Kelli and them generally do a good job. I know that the prevailing opinion here says otherwise, but as you said it is hard to argue with the overall success and progress the DCC have regularly enjoyed over the years.
  4. They're not going to take tips from an anonymous internet user. I feel like some of y'all aren't truly aware of how unimportant our perceptions of the show and DCC are to them. I also don't really have a problem with their stance. This forum is far from representative of everyone that watches the show or follows the DCC. I sense general discontentment here with the methods through which the show and the DCC operate. I've seen plenty say they have suggestions for and critiques of how they market themselves and argue that their work in that department is subpar or even bad, yet the show and the DCC continue to grow in popularity as far as we know. It remains one of CMT's most popular programs and its longevity is indicative of that. I think that whatever it is they're doing is working and will continue to do so. I'm not saying all the suggestions/critiques are invalid, but I believe they most likely mean nothing or not nearly as much to the majority and as a result nothing to the DCC or CMT. I don't think they're going to cater to the whims of an absolute online vocal minority, nor do I think they have any good reason to. Money is money and this isn't where it comes from.
  5. All true. However, I do feel like the moneymaking power of the DCC could get in the way of some of that. As well as tradition which the Dallas Cowboys seem to value a lot. Certainly an interesting and not impossible concept though. Would not be opposed to it.
  6. I'm not very averse to the things Kelli and them say. I expect it from them. I think they can get kinda dirty/extra with it though. I think cheerleading epitomizes vanity and pageantry like many other industries do which is reflective of the world we live in. (Modeling, acting in some cases, pageants, et cetera.) They model for calendars, do runway shows, et cetera. Several people that tryout for DCC are also pageant winners of some kind. Also, isn't/hasn't Miss America runner-up been point for like two years. Cheerleaders kinda exist to be objectified. That's what most male fans, the primary consumers of the NFL, who go to games do anyway. (Peep their IG comments.) Looks matter more than anything. They gotta make them all as attractive as possible without completely throwing away dance/character for business. I don't expect the DCC to solve/take down the world's problems or even get ahead of other industries in this way.
  7. I also believe this person is under the impression that no one here has the authority to discuss their looks/character/likely even dance ability on the internet as well. Pointing to Kelli and them for scrutinizing the above when it's their job to do so isn't justification for this individual. Not defending what they're doing, but I understand what this person is saying. I think this is a very unrealistic expectation, despite kinda sympathizing (with a small piece of the message, not necessarily delivery). I wish certain things wouldn't be said here about people on the show. I feel the same way about scrutinizing pretty much anyone you don't know or have ever met on the internet who isn't known to be morally reprehensible or something. I kinda don't think any but a few people on the show are real bad people or something (or at the very least, who am I or is anyone to say) so I get bothered when I see certain things said about many of them. Through the lens of reality TV no less. However, I know a world without this will never exist. People have negative opinions on others online (whether they know them or not) for whatever reasons and whether or not I think there is firm basis within them is irrelevant to this board and the world in general.
  8. Far be it from me to say this, but this person likely thinks that many here have too much time on their hands because we spend our time doing what they perceive to be unfairly criticizing and disparaging these young women while they pursue their "dreams" (depending on who it is) and the people that run it or are associated in some way. (That sentence was likely full of grammatical errors.) All a matter of perspective.
  9. I don't have an issue with the internet war this person is waging. This is how the internet works. Plenty communities on the internet exist only to bash other ones for doing/saying what they believe is wrong. They appear to have an issue with several DCC boards and believe much of the discussion is problematic. In response, they're fighting back and Instagram is the only place this person could do it anyway. I don't know about perpetuating negativity (against DCC at least) because they're putting these posts through a lens that derides them. This person thinks the boards as a whole are an issue and talks down, many disagree and think their retaliatory page is an issue and talk down. It's just a clash of ideals to me. I will also say I think what they're doing is kind of goon-like, following several DCC and allegedly talking to them about the boards. I like to believe the DCC don't need this sort of page's support.
  10. This is a campaign I can get behind. I understand that we can say whatever we wish about anyone on the show, but I believe that talking someone is up is better than talking another down. I'm not really down for scrutinizing those involved in the show on the internet whether I'm partial to them or not, especially when it comes to weight and overall appearance. I think it does more harm than good. Kinda agree with the marble comment as well. Also don't believe the resources we got are enough for me to cast judgement. Some of the things I read here give me pause. Respect to all the women that made the squad and kept weight from getting them cut. Hope Zoom ain't involved in this upcoming season and there's more episodes. I didn't watch 15 because of that. I don't know though.
  11. I hope VK make it back if she trying out again. I like her for the most part based on 13 and 14. I know most of y'all dislike her. I understand that she took a year off for personal reasons, but I think she'll be fine. I'm also cool with wherever she goes in the triangle if she does make it back. Can't imagine she's going up too far. I don't know how it works though.
  12. Facts. You actually said some things I thought about saying. Felt like my mind was being read. The Dallas Cowboys appear to be a family business seeing that Charlotte is VP and CBO. It also doesn't appear to be that way for no reason. Between family members can often exist a level of trust and experience that literally can't be eclipsed by outsiders. There can be value in hiring family. No one is going to blame the owner of a bakery for entrusting some or all of the business to his children who know it and the person behind it better than anyone. I don't know who Haley Anderson is (besides Charlotte's daughter) or what she's worth to the Dallas Cowboys as assistant director, but if she's been born and raised under the Dallas Cowboys umbrella and shows interest in participating, a role in the organization makes sense to me. Exception is indeed kids who don't do anything but enjoy the wealth the business provides and/or have other interests, but there's no way to know if Haley is one or the other. However, I do find it hard to believe that as successful as the Cowboys are they would consider someone completely unqualified (if she's being considered). Assistant director for the DCC isn't high up the ladder anyway, so overall it's not a big deal. Still though, Jackie for president.
  13. This "nepotism runs the Cowboys and entire world" crusade is becoming real tiresome and conspiratorial to me. Someone's interpretation of the Cowboys' purpose is theirs and theirs alone, so I don't think it's fair to say "no one could ever argue". I also remain fascinated by people's perceived understanding of a multi-billion dollar organization's purpose and operations when they have no association whatsoever. I don't think anyone here besides @ShellyB has any real insight into qualifications of potential applicants or what the DCC desires in an assistant director. It just feels like to me that some don't agree with the decisions that are being made or they think will be made within the Dallas Cowboys for whatever reasons and chalk it up to unfair business practice or the incompetence of leadership to cope. I don't really have any investment in who they choose, but believe that whoever they pick will have what they believe is most necessary and that's all that matters to me. At the end of day, I don't know what goes on within the Dallas Cowboys or have any say (for good reason). Would be pleased if Jackie was chosen though. Think I saw someone say she got a shot at it. She's sick.
  14. What does anyone here have to say about anyone's qualifications for the job as assistant director. The only people who have the full picture and even know what they're looking for are those evaluating.
