The cheerleaders represented what people  Who are African-American look like and how they wear their hair. It was a great experience and I only wish that this could be something the DCC could model..

It has been discussed a few times over the years on this forum. And from what I can see, the only thing that has changed (and only fairly recently) is a reluctant acceptance of African American DCCs sporting their natural hair (but I have a gut feeling that wigs are still encouraged behind the scenes...)

Honestly, I cannot see other things change in the immediate future and definitely not with Kelli and Judy in charge. Those two are firmly stuck in the past, whether it's the never changing DCC uniform (apart from the shorter shorts), their stereotypical DCC type or the over-used Thunderstruck Routine.

  2. Talking about an increased body weight and discussions about a perfect body in general has become a bit of a mine field over the past few years. There is an increased awareness of the damages it does to people. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the main reason for deleting Victoria's scenes?

Which leaves me wondering about other past episodes....There are loads of examples of Kelli being rude and often unfair toward girls. Will all those episodes be edited?

What will this mean for(possible) future episodes of MTT? Weight, stocky builds, think thighs were all easy excuses for Kelli to rid of unwanted TCC's. Many of these girls were grossly mistreated over weight or "body issues"  for the sake of drama television. Hopefully, a new series will be a big improvement regarding this and focus more on other, more interesting aspects of the journey toward becoming a DCC.

I believe it's on her Patreon.  I've seen clips here and there from it.  What I saw was how bad Kody was/is.

Wow wait… is Kootie’s biggest OG13 cheerleader being mean about daddy dearest?? Where does that come from?

No, there’s no confusion.  Look up David Mitchell Thompson Muay Thai. His first tournament was in 2022. It’s Aspyn’s husband, his first name is David. There’s also David Mitchell and a Mitch Thompson who are fighters.

Yes, you’re right, Aspyn’s husband has indeed taken up Muay Thai. It’s on his Insta if you want to check it out. He really doesn’t seem like the type to me. I always found him a bit of a dork and hated his “Amish-beard”…. I just can’t wrap my head around it. He just doesn’t look the part to me.

At least it’s not actual cage fighting/free fighting (Mitch seems a MT ring fighter, which is a big difference)

Cruised over to Reddit during break. Discovered that Mitch (Aspyn's husband) has taken up cage fighting.

A clip of his match showed him winning a match. I know nothing about the sport but he seemed to win it fair and square.

Are we sure this really is Aspyn's Mitch?? I just cannot envision that guy entering the world of cage fighting, so I did a quick search.

There is a Mitch Thompson, going by the name of Twizzler Bones, and he seems to be from Salt Lake City  but is originally from Idaho. I checked him out but he doesn't look like Aspyn's Mitch at all. Could it be that people are confusing the MMA fighter for him?

There’s also a pic of the outside of the house, which shows an immense load of clutter precious treasure in every window and an entire downstairs room full of boxes. So, I suspect every single room in the house looks like this.
Is  Robyn possibly developing some kind of hoarding disorder?

I liked this episode. Not huge drama, but f-in Mykelti. Told Robyn first, then jumps in front of Christine At. Her. Bday. Party. to announce her pregnancy.

Hmm... sounds familiar, doesn't it? Something about jumping in front of bride-to-be Maddie to announce her wedding, then throw a toddler tantrum because the family wasn't cooperating with a speedy wedding right after Maddie's, and then getting angry again because she felt that Maddie got too much attention.

She always seemed an attention seeker, but cleverly hid it behind a facade of the neglected child that was constantly passed over.

I remember a scene at the Vegas rentals where the table at her house was meat and starches, potatoes, corn and possibly mac and cheese.  Unless I over looked it, not a green vegetable to be seen.

Yep, like the cooking in their Lehi house. Christine and Janelle seemed to prefer “fast and kid-friendly meals” which may not necessarily have been the healthiest.

Meri once complained that Leon preferred to eat at Christine’s place as Meri’s more culinary cooking (whatever it was) wasn’t really appreciated.

I wonder if she paid off the loan. If she is making as much as some have speculated from LLR, she'd likely have had enough to do so long since.

LLR is encouraging their consultants to live big and display their wealth. It’s supposed to show potential victims how fantastic LLR is and lure them in. As a result most consultants, even the top earners, end up with little or nothing at all. And we all know how important luxury is to Meri!

As far as legal repercussions, i'm not sure there are any.  The courts aren't set up to save people from their own bad decisions.  Janelle wasn't tricked (at a legal level).  She went along with this mess willingly.  I don't blame Janelle for where she finds herself, but she made a calculated risk and lost.

Where I live, we have courts that deal with “non-criminal cases”. One that settles disputes between people and also handles family matters.I’m sure the US has such options too, especially when it involves divorces or a break up.

I doubt she will though; going to court is very expensive and time consuming. And there is also that matter of their very complicated (and likely very creative) financial situation… Kody admitted so himself, saying that their tax forms were over 50 pages long. Hell knows how big their (legal) trouble could become if a judge were to order a full disclosure of their financial entanglements over the past 15 years!

David is already almost erased from Kody's memory banks.  I'd say it's a tossup between Solomon and Breeana for next in line.

Kody has a tendency to push away his sons as they grow older, so definitely Sol. I had high hopes for Breanna at one point, but she is becoming more and more like AuROARa (apart from the cringe-worthy whining)

I fully expect Ari to turn on Kody when her time comes. She and Kody are too much alike, and she already seems to have a bit of an attitude. (I would definitely watch a SW episode about that!)

And finally, and most poignantly, when did Kody turn into such a selfish and arrogant ass?  He’s never NOT had an inflated man head, but he seemed kinder to his wives and less argumentative in the early seasons.

I fully agree with your observation here. It probably didn’t happen overnight. It’s more like a gradual process where he slowly lost control over his wives and kids; something he couldn’t handle. Kody needs to feel in control and he needs to be “loved” and “worshipped”.
The big turning point was the move to Flagstaff. The older kids didn’t follow him which was a blow to his ego. The wives spread over town, so he couldn’t control them as easily as he had. He was forced to spend more time in their houses  if he visited them because they were so much further apart. (In Vegas he could simply pop in for a short visit and pretend he was involved) The wives became more independent and discovered they didn’t really need him, which annoyed the heck out of him. And eventually, they all abandoned HIM.
He literally felt how his control and influence waning, together with the respect and love he always took for granted. He couldn’t handle that, which turned him into an angry and very nasty monster…

So horribly boring, I had to come back 4 or5 times because I kept dozing off then rewinding and every scene looked the same so it would take me forever to find the place where I stopped.  There is no show here, this is so ridiculous.

That show is starting to feel like a movie gag reel…

Even when she and Kody had their ridiculous 11 day honeymoon, her kids stayed with her parents. Meri, Christine, and Janelle had to ask permission to include them with the rest of the family outings while they were gone.

And yet she keeps claiming that her kids were never fully accepted and excluded by the others. The others really tried.

It’s such a shame that her twisted view of reality has completely poisoned the minds of her kids. She taught them to distrust others, undermined their confidence by constantly telling them how unwanted they were, and taught them to despise others. And it’s mostly based on lies…

$50 for that?  Does one at least get lunch?

Meri rilly thinks she is all that, doesn't she?  Who would make a trip just to walk through her (supposedly) haunted house?  Unbelievable!

Yet I see a tremendous business opportunity here. Imagine a Halloween tour of the creepy mansion with horrible polygamy stories (which should be easy), psycho Kody lurking in one of the bedrooms, and Robyn the witch wailing in the basement. Sounds like fun to me!

don’t think she wants to go to a new family at this time.    She commented in another interview that she might marry ten years from now.  Out of the four wives, she ( and Robyn according to Robyn) still feel part of the AUB church.  So in order to marry in  the church, it’s marry into polygamy. She would have to renounce that AUB membership to marry monogamously.

Can she simply “remarry” within the AUB? I thought those marriages were for life, unless you are formally unsealed from your husband? And doesn’t that require permission or a blessing from their AUB leaders?
I guess going through such trouble only matters if you wish to remarry within the AUB. Otherwise she could just do a “Christine-Divorce” and declare herself single.

I feel mostly sorry for them. Those two tendrils are charged with the Herculean task of trying to cover Kody's horrible pattern male baldness.  Take away those 2 tendrils, and he would look like a Ben Franklin impersonator.

I’d call “cowardly lion impersonator” more fitting, in more ways than one. Or maybe he’s more like the scarecrow who has his straw popping out of his brainless head? Can’t make up my mind on this one…

  18. I’ve always wondered whether “the liv water for Truely” was missed during editing? That was the only time I recall some form of actual promotion over Liv, LLR or Plexass.
I wouldn’t call Christine occasionally wearing LLR leggings active promotion, as the brand wasn’t visible nor mentioned. Those who really know LLR would recognise the leggings for what they are. I’d hardly heard about LLR and simply thought them hideous. I gues it’s hard to prevent any brand from showing, especially when 2 of the wives and 2 of the kids had closets full of it, with little else to wear.

Meri advocates for herself, and she advocated for her kid. I have total respect for that. Meri didn't tell Christine or Janelle they had to give birth 6 times each. And at any point, Christine and Janelle could have gotten full time jobs and sued Kody for child support.

Janelle had a fulltime job for a long time. Christine had a fulltime job raising 13 kids. Meri only ever worked parttime and had absolutely no qualms over taking (unpaid) time off, or resigning completely so she could accompany Kody on his many business trips (per their own book) She had by far, the best deal and all privileges.
As for child support: I suppose that’s a tricky one… How many Brown kids have Kody officially registered as their dad on their birth certificates? For fear of prosecution, most fathers weren’t registered when kids were born in a polygamous relationship. Because of the tv show, they could probably prove his relationship easily in court, however, most kids were adults after the separation, so I doubt there was much left to claim…

Well, now, isn't that interesting. I wonder why?  I was expecting it to be Kody or Robyn's idea to leave her out, but then they didn't include Savanah either, and I did expect that. Clearly I don't know anything about these people.

Mykelti and Meri never really bonded, with Mykelti always doing everything Meri didn’t like.

I also believe Meri, Maddie and Mykelti have a shared past in selling LuLaRags, with both girls probably coming from her downline. Anyway, Maddie had her own huge fall out with Meri over LLR back in Vegas (they were supposed to be doing it together, but I don’t remember the details, but their relation turned really sour after) and something happened between Meri and Mykelti too. She made some nasty jabs at Meri during one of her facebook lives when selling the rags a few years back. Don’t know  the specifics here, it was rumors all over the internet, and I never watched her fb lives.

TLC seems to have prohibited any MLM from being promoted or even shown on SW. (Good from them!) It has always amused me that Kody wasn’t allowed to use the one thing that made him (in)famous, to promote the other ventures. It probably explains why we hear so little of any incidents, or the OG3 making lots of money from it now.

  21. Just did a quick search for Flagstaff rentals out of sheer curiosity.  You can definitely rent relatively modest houses for $2000 (a few even for less), with the highest listing at $8000.

As for Meri's house; wasn't it listed only a couple of months ago for almost $6000 a month?  I wonder where the $2900 from a few years back came from, which really seems low for such a house in that area.

He likes the youngest ones because they don’t realize what an asshole he is plus they’re his kids with Robyn and he also likes the older ones who suck up to him like Mykelti.

Exactly, the little ones won’t see his huge flaws just yet and are unconditionally loyal. The older ones get to stay in the fold if they’re willing to adore and worship King Kody. The moment they stop doing that, they’re out.

That would have been something interesting they could have mentioned on the show. Along with just getting the intro/dance perfect, you have to be aware of the players on the field with balls flying all over the place! Lol

I’m sure they did when the cameras were not rolling. You do not want to admit on national tv that your elite dance team isn’t getting the stage to themselves.
They’re doing their iconic dance routine while players doing a warming up session around them. I hate it, as it definitely doesn’t do justice to the show element on game day)

As for rude players/players not paying attention: There have been several incidents where dancing DCC’s got run over by players on the field. The Melissa Kellerman/Jason Witten incident immediately comes to mind.

  24. A thought on Robyn’s hoarding:

People who do this, have often been through financial hardship and/or housing issues. When their living conditions and financial situation improve, they sometimes develop a tendency to flaunt their new-found wealth by surrounding themselves with “luxurious” stuff, which often has a tacky edge to it. They go completely over the top and often in poor taste. Almost as if they’re reinventing themselves. Also, the purchases help to affirm their financial situation. Robyn reminds me of such people.

If that art is truly expensive, I highly doubt it was there when it was an Airbnb.  Nobody who is a Airbnb host has expensive, portable items ripe for the taking.  I have stayed in many and not a single one had anything worth stealing.

I refuse to believe all that art is real. if you ask me, it’s all (cheap) mass production copies. Lots of people have it.
And I also do not believe they have the money to spend thousands upon thousands on art. And as you said: Airbnb’s don’t have expensive works of art.

On another thought: If it is real, it’s plain stupid to have it on the show for everyone to see. Burglars are grateful for this kind of stupidity!
