All right, so why are the babies radioactive? Isn't the presence of uranium on the site very recent? (Btw, I LOVE this show.)

That show is so frustrating! An excellent premise, I would LOVE to love it, and... nothing happens. And it's simplistic. The English are BAD, the Americans are good, the women are beautiful and heroic, the war is just, and... argh. I don't think this show is too complicated, I think it's not complicated enough! There would be plenty of interesting conflicts and ambiguities to explore... that they are not exploring at all. And, it's too fucking slow. Again: frustrated.
