  1. Same thing this week. Thursday and Friday will be reruns again.
  2. It's always nice to see Jon Stewart on the Late Show. Jon Batiste's New Orleans pre-taped bit was great. I wish he would have more bits like that. BTW, I'm 99% sure that was Colbert's son John on the drums (after the ad break, before Bob Schieffer interview).
  3. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Returns to "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" Tuesday, Sept. 19
  4. 'The Late Show' has been nominated for Emmys in 'Variety Talk Series', 'Writing for a Variety Series' and 'Directing for a Variety Series' categories. 'Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going to Clean Up This Sh*t?' has been nominated in 'Variety Music Or Comedy Special', 'Writing For A Variety Special' and 'Directing For A Variety Special'. 5. Based on T. J. Miller's now deleted tweets, that Oliver Stone interview was even worse than what we have seen (you have to read it from the bottom up). I've never wanted to see unedited interview more than that one.
  6. For those of you who have CBS All-Access subscription, there is uncut version of last night's episode available. It has about 20 minutes of material that didn't air.
  7. Tonight's episode is by far the best episode so far. I just wish it was longer. Much longer.
  8. Since Chris Licht tweeted: "A truly amazing @colbertlateshow tonight. From Comey to the reunion--Don't miss a minute." I guess they will mention it, at least briefly. Also, nice picture of everyone in that tweet.
  9. It's pretty telling that most of #FireColbert people main complaint is how Colbert disrespected Trump, as oppose to his supposedly homophobic comment. I'm not sure why is everyone making such a big deal out of this. The FCC received complaints about the comment, so they must investigate it. In all likelihood, nothing will come out of this investigation (other than increase in Late Show ratings).
  10. The strike is averted! Writers Strike Avoided as the WGA Reaches a New Deal with the AMPTP
  11. You can watch full episode on show's website or individual segments on Youtube.
  12. You know, if the WGA starts striking, Monday's episode is pretty great one for the show to (hopefully briefly) go out on. The entire episode was great, but that rant was f*cking amazing.
  13. It was even worse listening on my headphones. Every time she would do that high pitched yell, it felt like she was piercing my eardrums.
  14. It's always nice to see "Stephen Colbert" (and they didn't do the "identical twin cousin" thing this time), but I'm also starting to like Tuck Buckford. I hope he does that character more often. I think that's probably right. Going by the number of Youtube views, monologues and desk bits usually have much more views than interviews and performances.
  15. The Late Show will go live February 28th, after Trump addresses Congress.
  16. Colbert will host the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 17.
  17. There is a huge difference between playing the character for an occasional segment (so far the character appear in two episodes) and playing the same character the entire time. I also remember him talking about how hard it sometimes was to interview people while playing the character. Basically, he would often be very interested in whatever the guest (usually scientist) was talking about, but since his character was supposed to be kind of an idiot, he couldn't really have the in-depth interviews he wanted.
  18. I agree completely. It was so great to see Colbert Report's Colbert again. I wonder if he's going to get another letter from Comedy Central lawyers. I also liked the Friday's show, which thankfully, they actually taped on Friday.
  19. That was one of the greatest episodes I've ever seen. Me too.
  20. Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ Goes Live For Election Eve And Post-Mortem Wednesday
  21. It was so great to see another WERD. I was starting to think they stopped doing that segment.
  22. Personally, I liked both of those things. I found the chat with that woman more interesting than some of the recent celebrity interviews. I wouldn't mind more segments like that one.
