In the TV Line comment section someone pointed out that Maze, Lucifer and Chloe are all mentioned in the following episode's summary.

I've read the descriptions that Lucifer receives a "tragic phone call". Why would Lucifer receive a phone call about Pierce's death and why would it be tragic? From that description, I'd say Amenadiel, but Amenadiel is still immortal, isn't he? That leaves Linda or Charlotte.

I don’t think the phone call and the death are related.  He is the devil. No matter who dies he doesn’t get a phone call.  I think it’s a red herring.

  2. Well I am really loving season 3. I like the added story and character development.  Chloe mentioned being an only child a couple of times. Anvils? Or just passing remarks?  Perhaps Cain is a brother, Adam and Eve had more children. Or maybe It’s Lucifer.

  3. I need more scenes with Hailey Atwell and Eddie Cahill.

The show is coming together, but I could see some tweaks necessary to get a full season pick up.  The premise is solid, but the procedural part seems weak and the cases lack punch.  The production design is missing something  everything looks like she set  it's missing warmth

if they can get this right it can be a steady performer

  4. Wilddog can go now. Thank you. And again, this show is cluttering up the landscape with multiple villains and too many people on the team.  I was ok with adding Curtis until John got back, but please get rid of the rest.  And while Church is cool, then why do we need the dude in the mask with the arrows.  C'mon man, pick a villain.

It's like they took the over crowded, muddy, formula from LOT and brought it over here.  It didn't work there, and it is certainly not working here.

Stephen Ammell is a strong engaging lead, he doesn't need a lot of propping up.

  5. Still liking this show.  It got a little after school special with the black soldier story line.  Goran V is the strongest actor on the show, he electrifies the screen whenever he is on it, and we need him on it more.  I think he is Lucy's father in another timeline, and the wife and daughter that died are her and her mother, and Ritenhouse is like the Third Reich and caused a war.

I am not sure how they are going to sustain the story telling, for multiple seasons. Even Eric Kripke eventually flamed out on Supernatural and I loved Supernatural.  Let's see if he does better with this.

On completely shallow note, if Matt Lantner is going to be shirtless every week he needs to work out.  Exhibit A, B, and C are Nate on HTGAWM, Oliver on Arrow and Justin Hartely on This Is Us.

  6. My guess for under the sheet is Femke Jensen's character and in the basement is Nate.

Last week Annalise said something about Femke's character looking into Wes' father's murder. Nate is in the basement because he rushed into the burning house to save Annalise.

The fire was set by Annalise to cover something up.  And Frank will end up being Annaliese's client.

  7. I had to FF thru most of the first half, and or course Barry's parents had to die by the end, and a new reality was created, so Barry sacrificed and yet, he can't get back to the first season (LOL) Iris and Joe not speaking, and I suspect we will find out next week there are changes with Cisco and Caitlyn.  This gives me hope that Wells will be back next week.

I was unspoiled and thought the episode did what it needed to do, it set up the season, and gave a show in it's third season somewhere to go, let's see if they maintain the momentum.

Best line of the night "reverse, It's a wonderful life" runner up "string-bean"

  8. I came for Hailey Atwell, and the rest of the cast. These are some of my favorite actors.  But wow! Did not expect that awesome chemistry between Hailey and Eddie! That is my new ship.

Nit pick - costuming stop dressing Miss Atwell like a size 2. Embrace those curves.

  9. Great start, I hope they can sustain it.  One little nit-pick, if they have everything and all the hosts under surveillance, tracking, cameras etc. Why didn't they see what Ed Harris was up to?

The acting was really fantastic, not a weak link in the cast. I thought the violence etc was appropriate for the statement the show is making about society and our level of detachment.

  10. I feel like the show went too far too soon. They could have used the base formula for a few more seasons before it started over doing it in every episode.  It seems like the show is always at level 9.  I miss season 1, lets hope they get back to basics next season.

  11. I have been reading thru the spoilers and granted, they are fragmented by nature, but they make the season seem really fragmented, I am less interested in this season than ever. All these new characters, Olicity apart. OTA?   Arrow you have always been my must see TV, please don't become my DVR Day+1 viewing.

Can anybody convince me I am seeing this all wrong and I should get all excited!! Anyone?

  12. No matter what the relationship between Ron and Nicole, it doesn't matter, murder is murder. The tone of the documentary has been the social-economic-political atmosphere that lead to OJ being acquitted, and that relationship doesn't fit into the primary narrative, it would however be one more example of a jealous husband going after his x-wife.

Karma's a bitch, and in the end he out Juiced himself, he ended up in jail, dis graced and all his friends distanced themselves. ( they had done that after the first trial) he was exiled to Florida.  What I found really shocking, is that he got custody of his kids.  I thought the Browns raised Sydney and Justin.

Lawrence Schiller also wrote an excellent book om the subject of OJ. I suggest reading it was well.

  13. I guess I am an easier sell then most. I liked this set up, I didn't know OJ's backstory, I knew he was an amazing foot ball player, I remember the Hertz commercials and Naked Gun movies. Then he was arrested for murder, and that is how I know him best. ESPN's 30 for 30 documentaries are always the gold standard, and based on episode 1 I have no doubt that this will continue the tradition.

Understanding the context of political/social climate when he was coming up and how he turned his back on his community, when he could have used his fame to help is ironic, considering it was that black community that decided he was innocent because the cops where corrupt. Based on past behavior, not actual facts.

No matter what documentary I watch, or TV dramatizations, I always come away with the same sense of sadness. Nicole and Ron and their families never got justice.

  14. First of all, Romeo, Curts' BFF is the guy from the Regal Movie Theaters intro that they play right before the main attraction, just had to get that out of my brain.

WOW! I thought Quinn and Rachel were unlikable the first season, they are REALLY unlikable this season. I have gotten used to not liking my lead characters Don Draper, Tony Soprano, I get it's a thing in TV.  But WOW!

It is off to a good start, the Chet thing is a bit far fetched, and the dueling shows will be fun.  and was that Ioan Gufford I spied in the preview.  I am guessing he is the new head of the network.

I am not sure if it was intentional on the part of the casting director, but I love how all the contestants seem to be "C" level actresses that you would expect in basic cable movie. Unlike the actresses they cast last year who where more legit.  And that is exactly what I find in the quality of the contestants on the Bachelor and Bachelorette "C' level.

SO Chet's chunk went to Jeremy, I did not recognize that actor.

  15. Sure we could nitpick, but overall, I liked it. I really liked the end. Everyone is exploring a different path, but they will come back together.  Oliver as mayor(interim), gives the show an easy out when the story line doesn't work.  Diggle going back to the Army, brings the potential for more story for him next season.  Still don't care about Thea's journey.  And Malcolm, well he is Malcolm, aside from scenery chewing I am not sure what purpose he serves anymore.

Happy that Donna and Lance rode off into the sunset.

OK, MG, GB, and Arrow writers, lets see what you got for next season.  I'm ready.
