  1. Avenging Gabi is the only reason I'm still watching this show. I don't give two shakes for any of the other characters. I'm looking forward to her wreaking havoc on Lani's life. Hoping it's pure soapy goodness!
  2. Maybe it's all the years of watching GH that makes me not mind Ben's serial killer past. As someone said above, at least he owns it and had a mental illness for which he's been treated. That differs from GH where the leads are stone-cold (see what I did there, GH watchers!?), unapologetic killers. Rarely a week goes by where they don't threaten to kill someone for, you know, 'justice' reasons. Ciara is the one that's most on Ben's side and others are coming around, which is okay by me. As for Eve, no matter that Clarie's family did or did not see what was happening to her, Eve did! She KNEW the girl needed help, and did nothing, which lead to the possible deaths of two people. Her grief does not excuse this. If anything, her behavior dishonor's her daughter.
  3. If these writers had any talent, the reveal could be extraordinary. Michael finding out that the child he thought had died was being raised by his cousin should cause him to reflect on what his own biological father went through. But the writers are terrible and so the denouement of this story will be too.
  4. Gotta disagree on this last point. Ava knows who/what she is. She's even tried (unsuccessfully) to be 'better.' But the same cannot be said for Carly. She does not think there's anything about herself that needs fixin.'
  5. Not watching and not gonna watch. But in reading about today's continued propping of all things Corinthi, the tone deafness is just astounding. Here they all were mourning their dearly departed while mocking Margeaux (sp?) for wanting justice for her. Just astounding.
  6. This right here is why I'm done with this show. There's no longer anything keeping me around with enough counterbalance to make the awfulness of the Corinthi palatable. I'm no longer going to subject myself to this... morally bankrupt, tone deaf writing. I'm out.
  7. Aw, Carly is out of... wherever she was. I was hoping that would last until November sweeps! And why would the D.A. (sorry, can't remember her name) tell Sonny to his face that she's coming after him? That's just dumb.
  8. For the life of me, I don't understand how Ava thinks putting the blanket back in the house is a good idea. Seems to me that it's in Ava's best interest that the blanket disappear. It seems unlikely that the baby's room wouldn't have been searched already, so having the blanket turn up there just opens the door to the possibility of a Nelle co-conspirator. If someone else can explain Ava's 'logic' to me, I'd really appreciate it!
  9. I thought that both babies would be in the hospital. Nelle's would die, and she'd swap it for Brad and Lucas'. That was my thought before this Chase nonsense started.
  10. But they have to know someday that Gabby was responsible for the switcheroo. She would want them to know that she was responsible for their misery. Personally, I can't wait!
  11. I think it may be time for me to step back onto the barge. I'm incredibly bored by most of what's going on and as usual, incensed by anything related to the Corinthii and their enablers. I so miss the days when soaps were fun to watch.
  12. This is GLORIOUS! Was the writing regime fired for not making the Corinthi and their enablers out to be saints? Oh, for the days when sanity reigned on this show.
  13. How is it when everyone's phone comes with the ability to record a conversation does Kiki not have that thing hot anytime she goes anywhere near the creepy doc? SMH.
  14. The one thing that no one mentions in the Sonny/Ava custody issue is that while Ava was pregnant, Sonny told everyone who would listen that he would kill Ava once she had the baby. That's why she was in hiding at Kiki and Morgan's house (I think). While Ava is no saint, Sonny is truly disgusting, IMO.
  15. I have no sympathy for Carly's pain. None. Curtis: 'Jason has the personality of concrete.' Yas, queen!
  16. Here's my dream scenario if Sam leaves Drew for St Jasus -- Drew sues for full custody, and because he has all of Jason's memories, he can testify to every murder and dirty deed St. Jasus ever committed. I know it will never happen but imagine that! Talk about justice!
  17. BlancheDevoreaux, you had me until you said you took Carly's side against Nell. Unless and until the show stops making Carly the heroine and calls her out on her smugness, makes her pay for her evil ways, I will not root for her. Even if she's 'right'! That said, I wish Nell were written with a modicum of competence. Having someone basically do to Carly and her family what Carly did when she came to Port Charles should be such soapy goodness. Instead, Nell is weak and stupid and not at all a proper adversary for Carly. What a missed opportunity.
  18. i'm 99% sure he did. I'm also pretty sure that Michael shrugged it off. Because if he knew, he wouldn't have stood there mutely while the terrible trio glossed over that truly ugly part of the story. Clearly, these writers don't think we were paying attention back in the day.
  19. Hello fellow anti-Japril folks! I find April to be irritating and insufferable. While it's clear that getting them back together is the end game for the characters, that doesn't mean I have to like it. I too thought that Mere would have totally understood and empathized with what Jackson was going through with his father. In some ways, my anti-Japril feelings not withstanding, I think that would have been a more interesting option. Can't wait to get more info re the Catherine/Robert story. Should be good!
  20. I have heard of her (unfortunately). She seems to have studied HARD at the Ann Coulter school of saying incendiary things to get attention.
  21. I loved this show too. I think I have every season on DVD, but as far as I know, all of it is still unavailable to stream. In the episode with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck you can see the beginnings of their soon-to-be relationship. It's one of the few shows where celebs seemed to really be themselves. I may have to do a re-watch myself!
  22. I had stopped watching this train wreck of a show until last week. I head that they were offing Morgan and it was all Sonny's fault! Yea! I know the current shunning will not last, but I'm going to enjoy it while it does. Then when inevitably, somehow, the citizens of Port Chuck decide that of course it's not Sonny's fault that his son was killed by a car bomb that he arranged, I'll abandon ship again. But for now, despite the fact that Michael and Jason are still inexplicably on the Sonny train, I'm so enjoying this show right now.
  23. You've pretty much encapsulated why I gave up on this show. The deification of Sonny and Carly was back and that was what drove me away pre Cartini. Now that the 'Car' is gone, the Sonny/Carly ass kissing is back in full force, so I'm out which really saddens me. I've watched this show off and on for more years than I’d like to count, but I just can’t put myself through this anymore. The only thing that would bring me back for Sonny to get what he deserves and the stories to return to, you know, the HOSPITAL! But I’m resigned to the fact that this will never happen, so adios, GH. Some of r time together has been really great, but those days have passed.
