Checking in very quickly from the airport hotel to report that I was in fact able to see BOTH tapestries in Bayeux!

I am now a little more than 24 hours from one of the longest flights home in the history of my flights home, and this includes flying to the US west coast from Hong Kong. The reason for this? A stupidly long layover. Anyway, I'll be back in my own bed this weekend and ready to hang out with my Mafia friends!! I'm even bringing wine. 😄 Oh, and I might be able to see the GoT Tapestry that was based on the one at Bayeux, France that tells most of the story of William the Conqueror.

So, incredibly appropriate to the current game, m. caprice (yes, I'm leaving that name alone) had a business trip to Guatemala in July. He brought back a bottle of rum and two weeks ago informed me of its existence by pouring himself a snifter and letting me have a sip. Yeah, he "let" me have a sip. OMG, so very delicious!! The bastard has hidden the bottle from me!

In a couple weeks, I'll be back in France for ten days which tends to be a detriment to my ability to participate. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to be able to play!!

I've seen most of the first one, but all I really know is that Star Lord has some great dance moves and one of the best mix tapes ever, there's some very good humor, and of course, Groot is Groot. Since the current game is pretty much just starting and I'm pretty sure one of my dozens of cable channels will show GotG at some point before PotC is over, I'm going to wait a bit before committing myself to the game.

Hey there, Machia! It's nice to be back. Oh, I just remembered a story I was supposed to tell! So, last month I had some new trees planted in the backyard. Why is this remarkable? Because the four trees are of two species... Maple and Spruce.
