I think he works for CNN, so maybe he can't, by contract.

I'm such a damn nerd that I did notice when Tim Ryan dropped out that Rachel didn't poof him.  What's odd is that her staff didn't notice.  Although it's just more likely that they noticed but didn't give a shit.

The reason I thought Ignatius being on with Rachel would've been an easy get is that he's a regular on Morning Joe. But maybe he doesn't want anymore television exposure .

OMG, I went through half a box of tissues on Eric's segment.  I don't know why that one touched me so much.  The twins' segment couldn't compare.  I too felt like they should confirm with DNA that that man is their father.

Yeah, I have a feeling they may have had too many subsequent complications and disappointments to continue the "what happened next" shows.  I got a "reminder" email from one of those TV show premiere date sites that the "what happened next" series was renewed, and it even gave an air date, but it didn't ever come back despite that.  This year they did a special short series with Lisa and Chris about some doctor that was selling babies and all the children trying to find out more about their real families.  For some reason that didn't interest me at all so I didn't watch it.

That show is called Taken at Birth.  It has it's own board.

I watched it and was underwhelmed.  There were too many unanswered questions for me really care about the outcome.

  3. I watched Friday's episode.

Both of the stories,  Kathy and Kim and Norma and Eric were feel good.  It would have been nice if the twins' birth mother wanted to meet them but I guess that's not uncommon. Kudos to their birth dad and his wife.

  4. By the end of the show there was so much left unresolved and either not explained or the explanation so flimsy, that I was frustrated.   I hope TLC doesn't revisit this.

Of all the people, I was totally confounded by Sallie.  She had no interest in any of her family history till she decided to have her father's body exhumed?

Well, I guess I'll take the bullet for y'all and watch - Dr. T's baby talk don't bother me, and Dr. K prepared me for the exotic angle.  Besides, everyone knows I can't resist an animal show, and these two have the added bonus of validating my dislike for Florida and Texas.  :~)

    ITA

Besides Dr K has talked about her opposition to owning many of these exotic animals as pets. But that she believes it's her duty to be an advocate for them.

  6. Thanks for the audio Scoobie.

I can't even describe how I feel about what I heard.  I have a different opinion of the whistleblower than I did before.  This person is of a much higher level than I had originally thought.

I also still want to hear Dan Coats and Sue Gordon's side of all of this.  They both left when the shit began to hit the fan.

He was a new guest. I think his name was Hank Johnson. He is African American.

He criticized  Senator Harris for being shallow.

It was Washington  Examiner's David Drucker. They were discussing Senator Harris's drop in the polls.

He merely  stated that  Senator Harris  is a combination of Hillary Clinton and Meghan Markle.  Smart and stylish.

It was neither  derogatory nor racist.

  8. I'm truly disturbed by the whistleblowers being silenced.  I hope this doesn't really continue to be acceptable.

When Rachel said that she had reported on the first case involving the tax records, that was the first time I'd heard that because she may have been the only to pay attention.  But now with Rep Schiff willing to file a subpoena over the DNI whistleblower, I hope this actually goes somewhere.

  9. Given the complexity of the story, I thought it was well done.  I balked at the idea of sitting through a two and half hour movie, but it moved along quickly.  I loved the book and went to see it with someone who had not read it (and I thought would sleep through the movie) but that was not the case.  He liked it.

How was Finn Wolfhard as Young Boris?

I've never seen him in anything before this movie, so all I can say is that I think he was quite good.
