Poor Missy still being directed to slouch on the couch and hold her hands in an awkward position. Is this supposed to hide the fact that she is taller than Sheldon or developing??

I don't know what they think they are hiding.  It has already been revealed that Missy got her period at least 1-2 seasons ago.  Everyone knows girls develop breasts at this age and tend to have growth spurts earlier than boys.

I did not enjoy the adult Sheldon and Howard voiceover banters without being able to see them. I watched every episode of TBBT as they aired, but I never noticed before how similar in pitch and cadence Sheldon and Howard's voices can be. Actually, I think it's that Simon Helberg tends to sync up with whomever he's doing a scene. It's his superpower, but it didn't work for me here. I think naturally Helberg's voice is deeper, but here I had trouble tracking who was speaking.

    This!

I've only seen a few episodes of TBBT, so I didn't recognize Howard's voice (in fact, didn't know whose voice it was until reading the discussion here) and both voices sounded very similar to me.  So the whole beginning voiceover banter was lost on me, although others here seemed to enjoy it.

  3. Overall, I thought it was a good episode.  Just a couple of things felt weirdly out of place for me.  The Dale/June/Meemaw story line was kind of silly and out of rhythm with the episode.  And IRL, I don't think a teacher and president/principal would get such joy out of upsetting a child, albeit, a very annoying child.  Sheldon, although quirky, is quite harmless and I am surprise these grown-ups and professionals allow him to get under their skin.

OMG, thanks to this👆 post, I just realized what Meemaw is doing! She’s trying to make Georgie realize that it’s a hard knock world so he’ll want to go school!

Very good point!  I hope it's true.  I've liked Meemaw's character throughout this series and didn't want her to turn into a jerk.  👋

What really annoys me is I think Georgie stopped working his paying job at the sports store and he's not in school. And now he's also technically unemployed? He's putting in hours and time for a non-paying job? I'm sorry but that is not right and Meemaw should be ashamed of herself. If she doesn't want to pay him, that's fine, but then he should go back to is other job and leave Meemaw to run the laundromat/casino by herself. Fair is fair.

    Agreed!

Not liking the illegal casino behind the laundromat premise.  I liked Meemaw's character better when she's dating quirky men, rather than cheating her grandson.   If Georgie quit school to make some money, why should she undermine that by assuming he would or should work for her for half of minimum wage or less.

Cute that both mom and daughter are having thoughts of the youth pastor.  The fruit didn't fall far from the tree! 😆

  6. I thought this was a bummer episode.  Meemaw laundromat is a drag, then the backroom casino is closed down.  Georgie moves into the garage and resorts to urinating in the slop sink. Mary's not happy and neither is George, although that is not such an oddity.  And Sheldon isn't happy about being separated from Missy.  Maybe Missy is somewhat happy.  Doesn't seem like any of the Cooper's won this week.

  7. This is the first time I actually liked Georgie's girlfriend.   As HurricaneVal said, she's the only one who gave him some pause.  Quitting high school is clearly a foolish thing to do, and he owes it to himself and his family to stay in school while living under his parents roof.

I am not liking the direction the show is going with Dr. Sturgis.  I liked the premise better when he was awkwardly confronted with dating and romance and sex.  I loved him with Connie, although they did seem ill-suited.  Dale is too miserable for anyone to want to be around.

Ok was I the only one that found it gross the length that they were going through to hide that they were together at a bar? It wasnt funny at all and just came across as ugh....

Then they go in the chicken coop together to discuss, basically, nothing.  Seriously?  Talk about arousing suspicion.

How out of character for Brenda to respond to Connie the way she did.  I would expect Brenda to say something like "What's with the 20 questions?  I've got shopping to do!", not quake in her boots over nothing.

  9. I find the George and Brenda attraction unfathomable as I don't think Brenda was ever particularly nice to any of the Cooper's.  I suppose they were just two lonely hearts fueled by some alcohol.  It seems like a ridiculous premise, however, if discretion is one of their goals.  With George and his family living next door and Meemaw across the street, they're just asking to be caught.  George was deservedly riddled with guilt since he knows something likely would have happened had it not been for a medical emergency.

The furniture reminded me of an episode of The Bob Newhart Show (yeah, I'm old) when Emily was trying to show how hip and young she was. She redid their apartment and her wardrobe in impractical funky 70's stuff. The sofa was a day bed and it was impossible to sit normally - Newhart's legs stuck out straight, as Bob said last night, like a toddler.  Both funny scenes with two Bobs.

Not a "Bob", but a Lou . . .  there were a couple of episodes of the Mary Tyler Moore Show (I'm old too!) when Rhoda redecorated for Lou Grant.  To say Lou was not pleased is an understatement! 😄

  11. I am surprised that they were able to throw the wedding together so quickly, including having friends and family from the USA attend.  Wasn't their sole mission to Nigeria to get Dele back, or was the wedding planned for this trip all along?  That was unclear to me, and the whole episode seemed haphazard.  Although things are moving along quickly this season, I am not enjoying it as much.  I still haven't seen a burning, loving relationship between Bob and Abishola develop, but now that they're married, I guess it's inferred.

  12. I am not invested in any of the couples to win because I like them all.  I don't know whether any of them are in it for the long haul after the show or for the grand prize money.  It's impossible for any of the couples to truly know each other just from their experiences on the show.  The show may offer a foundation for the relationships, but the true acid test is in the outside world, with stresses such as careers and jobs , distance and problems that we all face.

I like Olivia and Korey as a couple, and I know it's unpopular, but I like Olivia a lot.  I thinks she's really pretty and I don't begrudge her for not finding a match with Korey the first day.

Also, another unpopular opinion, but I really like Jeremy too.  A very funny guy with a good sense of humor and he seems like he's fun to be around.  And he's really nice to look at.  Very handsome, in my opinion.

I think Alana is as pretty as she is nice, and Charlie seems to be coming out of his shell.  I thought he was really funny during Korey and Jeremy's fake date and it was sweet he wanted to dance at the luau.  I like them as a couple.

The only couple I don't want to see win is Will and Kyra.  Simply because they were always off by themselves doing their own thing, and not really part of the experience.  I don't think any newcomer ever picked Kyra for a date.  She's a cute girl, but everyone knew she was 100% unavailable.  It made them a very boring couple and I found it hard to build any fondness for them because of it.  My heart aches for Kyra's father who has some serious reservations about Will's intentions.  It must be a horribly helpless feeling for him.

In the end, I wish them all well.

  13. As for Cash, it seems like she sabotaged her relationship with Charlie, whether subconsciously or on purpose, so she could pursue Cinco without scrutiny of the show, the other islanders, or the public.  Once things aren't going too well in the villa, it has got to be a relief to get out of there.  She didn't look too miserable to be leaving.  I truly wish all these people well in their journey.

First let me state, that I'm not much of a makeup wearer except a little mascara & lip gloss here and there. While Jeremy was talking to Bailey I heard none of the conversation because I couldn't stop staring at Bailey's face trying to figure out if that was a 3 times lighter shade of sunscreen or foundation on her face??? It wasn't blended in well and it was sloppily applied to her face on the left side because you could see where it ended. So maybe it was sunscreen that was just slathered on rather quickly. I don't know, I was so confused. LOL

My husband thought that perhaps she has vitiligo.

  15. Without taking sides on who-said-what or who is right or wrong, I find it appalling that Shannon yells at people.  We've witnessed twice in as many days her becoming very argumentative, shouting and talking to someone in a condescending manner because she disagrees with them or takes issue with what they are saying.  There is a civil way to talk to people and one can cite their opinion or state their point of view in a constructive manner.

I think it would be good for the show and both watchers/participants if they did more 'challenges' that lead to people learning about the other people in the Villa and less "Passionately Make Out With Everyone" challenges.

This season in particular has had a ton of 'kiss everyone' challenges which are just gross. The 'Spiderman Kiss' challenge is still burnt into my mind. *shudder*

Agreed.  Unfortunately, even the challenges that ask questions about the islanders, the questions are mostly sexual in nature, sometimes aberrant, and don't expose anything deep and meaningful about the person.  Looks fade, but personality lasts a lifetime.

Also agree about the Spiderman Kiss challenge.  Those images can't be erased.  Eeek!
