Didn’t they have fjord on the previous day also?

    I think so.

I got safety net.  There was another TS I got, but I was only marking down how many total clues I answered correctly (not a lot! 25 total for both games, not including the one FJ I got), and don't remember details beyond that.

I wonder if Yogesh snaps his bracelet to manage anxiety. I have actually heard of people using that exact move to manage urges to self-harm. I'm actually fingind him rather charming in these games. He's funny, too-- his jokes during the game make me laugh.

  2. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it that way. I htink the building owners are way more responsible, including criminally.

  3. My hair is close to the same as Grant's. Now I have to consider that I might look like Al Yankovich.

I felt terrible for Rachel on that DD, and not getting a chance to ring in again. Also, she has the same name as an actress who plays a major role in the current iteration of "All Creatures Great and Small"-- it's irrelevant, but I was thinking about it during the show.

  4. Bobby also lost his family in the fire, didn't he? It's interesting that he never talks about that, in AA or elsewhere.

They tried to have a 911 call, but there was no cell service.

That's a good idea.  I don't mind previews, but I rarely watch them because there are commercials first and I'm deleting and moving onto my next recorded show.  For people that avoid them, that's a very good idea.

Or maybe we can have a thread just for previews. There might be people who want to talk about them but not get exposed to more in depth spoilers.

  6. Honestly, Colbert's childhood would make an interstring show. He had a zillion siblings,  parents who marched for civil rights while he was in the womb, his dad and two brothers died in a plane crash when he was a kid... the drama would be endless.

  7. I avoid previews, also. I really don't want to hear what's in them. Don't we have a speculation with spoilers thread? If not, someone who likes that stuff should start one. Or speculate based on previews in the episode thread the previews are talking about.

  8. It would have made a lot more sense for tiny Janine to do the tricycle and Gregory to do the bars, but it wouldn't have been as visually funny.

I did think it was interesting that Gregory said Janine could do the bars when the reat of them were doubting it. So... he thinks she pretended not to b e able to do it in order to get him to "help" her earlier.

  9. I like everyone more or less, and have been rooting for Victoria to win, but if James is using his winnings to help unhoused kids, I feel like him winning is the best outcome.

I also would love to see Victoria's Ravelry page! I knit, but not enough to show my work in any context, but I know of Ravelry and get pretty excited about seeing projects. I injured a hand a few years ago and I kept telling the PT that my goal was to be able to knit again-- she didn't understand, but I was dead serious.

I know young adults who have felt lumps and their doctors brush them off because "[they're] too young." It is sadly rather common to hear that in the YA cancer community for pretty much every cancer. My cancer was only caught right away because my counts were all kinds of abnormal and my oncologist managed to figure it out without ever seeing a case of it before.

I'm going to guess she passed out from a sudden BP drop. If it was bleeding from the surgical site, she would've touched it and seen blood. They're probably going to do something like, "omg the cancer is in her brain, now Glassman will do one final surgery to save Claire and then he will die in the OR after removing the cancer from her brain!"

but tbh I would laugh if everyone except Shaun, Lea, and Lim (and the babies) are dead at the end of the finale and they just get out of Dodge.

That's upsetting about people being ignored when they find a lump. I definitely had a lot of experiences of not being taken seriously, and being told I was too young to really be sick, thus meaning it took a long time to get my diagnoses (not cancer). Now that I'm middle aged, they take me much more seriously and always find something  else wrong even when I don't expect it. So... I don't know if the appropriate reaction is laughter or tears or anger or all of the above....

I was going to guess Claire was dehydrated, but she's probably not negligent enough to let that happen. A sudden drop in blood pressure, or a clot, seem more likely. If she is bleeding enough to cause unconsciousness, I'd think the blood would be soaking through her clothes, but I guess I don't know how thick her garments and/or bandages are.

  11. I think the description might be for The Cleaning Lady. I don't still watch it, but the character names sound like that show.

I don't really understand why Wayne is allowed to do illegal/warrantless hacking for the department (I mean, now that it's been discovered), but my guess is that they are keeping her because giving Jason a lover makes the triangle vibes less intense for the amicably divorced/everybody's friends aspect of the show. And these days most shows seem to think a hacker is necessary to solve any mystery.

However, the only way she got the testing was because she is a doctor and knows doctors. If she were anyone else, noooope - she wouldn't be getting testing or another couple of years

Women are supposed to do breast self-exams every month, so if she was doing that, she might have felt the lump. But a lot of women don't do it, and if the lump is small enough, maybe it would go undetected anyway.

This show really seems to enjoy killing characters. I am assuming Claire doesn't die, but does anyone have a guess about what has caused her to pass out?

  13. They had Taye Diggs as himself? So Kem is dating Taye Diggs, not just a character who TD is playing. I guess that means he'll be off screen most of the time? It just seems like a weird choice to make. It would be a distraction if they had him showing up and taking focus from the rescues. And... does he live there? Just a really strange plot twist.

I am not a fan of Scott Cahn, because he plays the same character in every role and I find his schtick tiresome. But I do like how the show is portraying a non-bitter divorce, where all parties are actually friends.

  14. I hate sports delays, but I have a feeling they think it might get the show more viewers, people who would stick around after watching the game, but not think to tune in otherwise? They seem to believe in the show-- they ran repeats during the hiatus, and seem to be promoting it more than a lot of shows.

  15. I was bummed out by the unrequited longing stuff. Why would the Cat King have to be lonely? Why would Edwin have to be rejected? Why would the lesbian butcher also have to be of the "hard boiled and cynical about love and thus single forever" type? And the one other queer person on the show was a psycho lesbian stalker.

  16. I will say that when the multiple-affair-having sister was all freaked out by the "respectably married" sister doing karaoke, I thought she was being ridiculous. But then it turns out that the karaoke did get a smoochy follow up, and a massive hangover, so I guess she kind of knew where her sister's behavior would lead. That actually did make me laugh.

Takes one to know one, I suppose.

  17. I saw hydroxychloroquine was one of the other drugs she was taking. Did anybody see what the label said on the 3rd one? I don't think there's a withdrawal issue with ipecac or hydroxychloroquine, but the other stuff is a mystery because I didn't see the label.
