  1. I want to start by saying, I don't want to see the stupid crap with the judges, racing go carts, who cares. Or the backstage contestants talking to one another. I want to watch performers on stage.

What a waist of time that guy with the gold suit was.

The French couple was so good. Damn that woman has no bones lol. She moved like a gymnast so did her husband but her movements were flawless.

The singer from Sweden (?) seemed like a really nice person but no one and I mean no one should ever sing John Lennon's Imagine. You just can't.

Tambourine guy was funny but what's he going to do to step it up? He's already played it on his face. I was cracking up when he kept pulling his tights up.

Dancers from Argentina, didn't do any one thing long enough for me to like or dislike. Their act was really short.

The blind singer, thank you for your service. I could listen to you all night long on a Friday or Saturday night enjoying drinks at my local bar but don't think you'll make it very far.

The Mentalist was okay but dull. I loved her 1940's look. I was thinking those papers they put in the wind machine only looked like 50 to 100 and they said all the audience drew a picture? I don't think so. But Simon, I grew up watching Lassie too :-)

I don't know any show tunes so I don't know if the golden buzzer kid sang that song good but what a great kid, I hope he makes it to Broadway.

In the clips we saw some acts I would've liked to have seen instead of the backstage crap. I saw one with a woman being swung around by her ponytail and the 4 Asian women in green suits looked interesting.  Also I think the judges have a program of the nights performers with a little background of each and that's why they'll ask certain questions to each contestant.

I know I'm forgetting some acts and that's because they're forgettable.

Not everyone - some of them were at the movies watching Back to the Future! In fact as soon as they went into the theater I wondered why all those people weren't at the carnival.

I felt kind of bad for Joe Keery (Steve). Imagine having to wear that stupid little sailor suit for however long it took to shoot this whole season.

I was thinking the same thing about the movie. The theater was packed they had to sit in the front row.

I kept wondering if we were going to see Steve in anything other then that sailor suit and knee high socks and we didn't until the very end. Poor Joe.

We already check back in with Enoch!  Yay, Enoch!  I hope he ends up being the surprise Hail Mary that ends up saving the day.

I have a feeling he's going to play a big part in it. I think that's the plot reason for him giving Fitz the phone/pager.

Does anyone else think its part El?  The piece of the Mind Flayer that was stuck in her leg ran off without being caught or killed right?  Might also explain her loss of powers.

Hopper stepped on it. But Billy found Eleven's blood on the floor when he was looking for them so I don't know if that blood morphed into something or not.

I really liked Steve after he did his turnaround--he showed genuine bravery when he came back to the door.

This is what I loved about Steve through all 3 seasons. He's there for his friends.

I started season 1 again last night after finishing season 3 and in this episode Steve doesn't have the head of hair he's become known for yet. But he was cute when he was trying to get Nancy to meet him later that night and she said no because she had to study. Steve told her he could come over and help her, he'd be quiet like a Ninja. Later Mike's leaving to go look for Will and sees Steve trying to shimmy up the side of the house, then when he climbs in Nancy's window he falls down gets up and says "see like a ninja." LOL!

I forgot how much I really loved this first episode and the introduction to all the characters we come to love was perfect.

I'm going to enjoy this rewatch.

I read a review that said that Hopper's last fight was straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I don't see it.

I haven't watched Raiders of the Lost Ark in awhile but I think they might be talking about the fight Indy had with a big Nazi guy by an airplane. Marion was sitting in the plane and a propeller was spinning and Indy ended up knocking the guy in the propeller. It may not of happened that exact way but I know there was a fight by a plane. That's the only fight I can remember from the movie that might resemble Hopper and the terminator's fight, replace plane with machine trying to open gate to the upside down.

Yay! Steve coming in and smashing into Billy's car. I love how Steve always goes back for people.

Love that about Steve but I missed his nail bat.

The ending was sad but I also think the American was Hopper, why else have that scene? Billy's death didn't move me he was too much of a jerk. See ya.

The Demogorgon at the end looked like it's evolved from the last time we saw one.

I thought it was a weird choice to have Joyce at the end just stare at Eleven. I don't understand why El lost her powers, I don't get it.

I believed Suzy was real but the singing went on a little too long. I did get a kick out of everyone's expressions that was listening though.

I got a flashback to Jurassic Park kids hiding in the kitchen from the Raptors also the alien in War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. When he was hiding with his daughter in the basement and it had that long arm with the eye at the end searching for humans, that's what the monsters arm searching around for the kids reminded me of.

I was happy when everyone finally got together but it took too long. I have to wonder in season 4  how they will get together since Joyce moved her family and Eleven away from Hawkins. Will it be during one of the holiday visits? Maybe there will be clue that Hopper is alive and that will bring Joyce and co back.

I think episode 5 ended being my favorite this season. I did enjoy this episode but it was too finale and I hated seeing the group part ways. And Hopper :-(

The kids are growing fast they need to get season 4 on before this year ends. It's going to lose it's charm if the kids get too big/old. With the kids middle school age it has a goonies feel to it and that's what makes it fun. Come on Netflix we don't want to wait a year and a half for a season with 8 episodes.

    Back to season 1.

I also thought the scene at the beginning with Nancy's parents and sister on top of the ferris wheel was really well done. It was effective and creepy and the dad's pants were hilarious.

That scene reminded of Jurassic Park 2 when Malcolm his daughter and another guy are sitting high in this lift thing and they see the trees moving when the T-Rex are coming.

The scariest ride I ever went on at a Fair was a double Ferris Wheel, especially when we were on top and it stopped. We were so high up, hated every freaking minute, I couldn't move I was so scared it was going to tip backwards and I would fall out.

I laughed so hard when Joyce went back just to punch Mayor Kline.

Then she kneed him in the groin lol.

Even though Steve doesn't get the girl :-(  I hope Robin sticks around.

I could do without the overhead shot of puking in the toilets. But I laughed when Dustin busted in and said "what the hell."

That scene with the car in the mall was so bad ass, it reminded me of when El flipped that van in season 1.

Oh, and nice driving Nancy, those big cars don't handle like todays cars so her spinning it around like she did in front of the store was awesome.

Yay, the gang is back together and kicking ass! Can't wait to see what they do with the fireworks and I hope they get that thing out of Eleven's leg.

    Love Back to the Future!

I wonder if they fixed it back up and left it that way.  That mall could make a fortune just charging admission to tour the dead wing!  Can you imagine renting it for an 80's party?  So much fun!

Absolutely! Especially if they did a Stranger Things theme, even if they couldn't use the name with the popularity of the show it would be a big money maker.

  11. I was wondering if the showrunners think the bowl cut on the boys make them look young?

I was a teenager in the 70's so I can't comment on the clothes but I agree with the names. I was pregnant in 1980 with my daughter and was thinking of names like Jennifer, Nancy, Elizabeth but went with a Charlie's Angels name, Tiffany because it was new and different.

Wow, that's incredible about the Mall they used being the dead wing they brought to life. Well done!

I know this show revolves around uninvolved parenting, but have Erica's parents noticed that their 10-year-old has been missing for a good 24 hours at this point? We could make a case for all the other kids having convinced their parents they are having sleepovers with one another, but Erica was expected at a family event - and presumably Lucas as well therefore - and has had no opportunity to call home with an excuse. Her parents should be climbing the walls by now!

I remember her rambling on about her friend covering for her or something but yeah if she's 10 (I didn't know how old she was) someone would be asking where she's at. It's dark and people are setting off fireworks and in the summer it gets dark around 9:00 so if she was supposed to be at a family event I would think her family would be worried or at least calling around to see where she's at.

Oh Steve. It wouldn't be ST if he wasn't getting beat up. Glad Dustin saved him and Robin.

Really liking Steve/Robin I dont know if they are setting up a romantic vibe or what but I like them. Steve "The Hair" Harrington. 😍

As much as I love Dustin/Steve I do miss him with the other kids. So I hope they meet up soon.

Hopper would just wait around. He would want to get to El.

Poor Steve and Robin. Yay Dustin and Erica to the rescue!

Steve "The Hair" Harrington, love it! I need a bumper sticker.

I thought Dustin and Erica was going to get the other kids to help with the rescue and that's how they were going to get back together.

So funny that Erica believed everything except that her brother could be involved. LOL!

Poor Claire and her PTSD. that was heartbreaking. (Catriona is seriously gunning for an Emmy this year, I swear). and I'm glad that A: Jamie left her alone for a while, B: saw something was wrong and stopped leaving her alone for a while, and C: that promise that she'd never be alone. awwww.

I really have to wonder if Jamie would have gone with the torture. (I really hope not), but the Claire/Jamie scene was hilarious including Claire kneeing him, his grunting Sassaneach, then her glare when he copped a feel and popped a kiss lol. That was quick thinking by Claire though

I agree, Catriona was great in those PTSD scenes. And number C: awwww that was sweet of Jamie to promise she'd never be alone and we've known since episode 1 he keeps this promise.

That was quick thinking by Claire and also Jamie catching on so quickly. It was like the vision scene they did in front of his grandfather. I did laugh when Claire kneed Jamie in his jewels and he grunted and she whispered sorry while still acting like the damsel in distress lol.

I was shocked Dougal stood there and let Claire speak to him that way. I was waiting for her to tell him the promise to marry him is void since Jamie didn't die in prison. Also he refused to help rescue Jamie so he had some balls showing up at camp. He didn't look too shocked when she use the word Fuck. Gee, I wonder if that's because he's heard it before, maybe from a redheaded woman?

I liked this episode a lot especially the flashbacks of Claire with the American soldiers. Shoutout to my fellow Countrymen.

That oldest boy is Rabbie, who they took in in season 1. Jenny has 3 children now- Jamie, who was born before Jamie & Claire arrived in season 1, Maggie, who Claire helped deliver, & this new baby, Kitty, who Jamie was sitting with ( swoon). Obviously there was a time jump from the time Jamie & Claire returned from France to when the episode picked up the next sping/ summer.

Thank you. I totally blanked on little Jamie. It hasn't even been that long since I've watched the first season and I still don't remember the oldest boy being there. People always say getting old sucks and you know what it does lol. :-(

Steve seems to be struggling a bit with his future, and since he probably can’t write “monster skater” on his resume, I think he should consider doing something in law enforcement, search and rescue, firefighting, or something like that. He can be a bit of a mess in day to day life, but he is a great guy to have around in a crisis. He has a really strong protective instinct, thinks pretty quick on his feet, and isn’t afraid to run towards danger to help people, I think those could serve him well in some careers. Or maybe I just want to watch him become Hops deputy and the hilarity that would ensue.

Yes please! Are you listening Stranger Things? If there is a season 4 let Steve be Hopper's deputy or a firefighter. :-)

Terminator overload. The heavy walking, the robotic movements, even the way he talks, oh, and he rides a motorcycle too.

Loved Dustin's reaction when Steve won his first fight! And of course Steve running his fingers through his lovely head of hair afterwards.

The gooey humans, gross. I was waiting for Nancy and Johnathan to run but they followed the blobs and watched it turn into a monster. Why didn't Will feel them there?

Man, how far down is that bunker? Looks like they're half way to China lol. Hope the Scooby gang finds a way out of there soon.

Joyce trying to throw the gun to Hopper and missing is exactly how I throw. Only I probably would've thrown it right in Terminator's lap.

Only 3 episodes left :-( Why only 8, we waited forever for this season and they only give us 8 episodes? I hate you Netflix. I did read online that if they renew for season 4 it will be smoke free because people are complaining. Come on, what's next, they complain because the kids are out after dark? Give me a forking break.

    On to episode 6.

  17. Thank you Anduin.

That makes sense that he was returning the hammer to the past. I don't know why I blanked on that.

I know early in the movie we saw Thor take the head shot, I was expecting him to do it again at some point during the battle and bring down all that power he did in the last movie but I guess he was too out of shape.

  18. I have a couple of question I hope someone can answer for me.

    1. How was Captain America able to hold Thor's hammer? Why did he take it with him to return the stones?

    2. How come Thor wasn't the badass thunder god he was at the end of Avengers Infinity War?

I don't read the comic but I enjoy the movies.  I don't know if they have any plans to continue making Avengers movies but if they do I have no desire watch without Iron Man and Captain America and I'll include Black Widow on that list too. I don't care who they try to bring in as the new Avengers that's not going to work for me.

I do like Thor and hope to see more of him. Not fat drunk Thor. LOL!

Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

  19. I thought this episode was just okay. I hope the next episode FitzSimmons is finally back on earth and reunited with everyone.

This is the last season correct? How many episodes will there be? They need to start wrapping things up if this is the last season of the show so we'll have an ending that doesn't feel rushed and just thrown together.

I thought Billy choking El went on a little too long and found myself telling the kids to do something. Thank you Mike.

Oh shit, an elevator going down to where? I'm worried for our gang.

I continue to love the adventures of Steve and Dustin. Their spy stakeout at the mall totally made me laugh. I loved when they did the simultaneous spin into casual hiding, especially Dustin's fake conversation on the pay phone. Also hilarious was the reveal that the supposed Russian spy was a Jazzercise teacher toting his gigantic boom box around in a duffel bag.

Loved it, and the look on their faces when the ladies started warming up Bahahahah!

Poor Hopper he got his ass handed to him, that was brutal.

I want Lucas's sister to go away. How old is she, her and her friends look young. Does she have to be in every episode?

3 episodes in and the only storyline I'm interested in is the one with Steve, Dustin and Robin.  But I do like Joyce and Hopper working together too. I don't know why but I'm just not that invested in the other kids this season, except for Will because something is going on with him.

So glad they brought Fergus with them!  But was that a donkey he was riding? How will that keep up with the war horses? They'd better not take that child to war!

I was so happy to see Fergus. I said the same thing, do not take that child to war!

How long were they in France? Jenny had another child or was it 2? Was that boy that picked the potato in the beginning supposed to be Jenny's first? He was at least 11 or 12 years old. Claire was pregnant when they left Scotland and didn't carry to full term and they came home a couple of months after the still birth. So how long were they gone?

I had a hard time with the dialect this episode. I kept turning my tv louder and louder but still couldn't understand most of what was being said. Didn't Colum and Jamie's grandfather sign an agreement not to fight? Isn't that what Jamie and Claire wanted and was trying to stop the backing for in France? I don't understand why they want to fight now.

Jamie's grandfather is a piece of shit and Laoghaire is a piece of lying shit!

I'm worried the word has gotten around Claire is a witch, did they not burn white witches?

Heh, him being bad at lying didn't surprise me -- the only thing about this little squabble that I find implausible is the idea that Mike wouldn't immediately rat on Hopper.

I agree with you. I wish I heard what Hopper said to Mike on the way home that would keep him from telling El.

I couldn't help but get a kick out of Hopper dressed liked Magnum P.I. and the restaurant scene, sorry he got stood up but it was for a good reason, Joyce is on to something.

I like Robin joining the Steve and Dustin team. I think her banter with Steve is funny and yes I think they will end up together. I warmed up to her sooner then I did Max last season, I don't know why but it took me more then 2 episodes to like Max.

Poor Will he just wants to play D&D with his friends.

Every time they say Nancy Drew it takes me back to the 70's when I used watch Nancy Drew/ Hardy Boys show with my cousin.

I would be happy if I don't hear that Foreigner song Cold As Ice ever again. 100 years ago when I was married and fight my ex he would play that song and sing it loudly towards me. Jerk!

Seeing how upset Claire was when she woke up and realized that she was no longer pregnant was painful enough but the flashback at the end when we saw her holding the baby until Louise took her away was just heartbreaking.

If they are really going back to Scotland right away, I will miss the beautiful French locations, the ridiculously fancy scenes at Versailles, the gorgeous costumes, Mother Hildegard and Bouton, Master Raymond (although since he's been exiled from France, maybe he can show up in Scotland), and Louise's friendship with Claire. I hope they take Fergus with them. I was really glad that Claire had no resentment or blame at all about Fergus's inadvertent role in Jamie being in the Bastille.

This episode was so sad! Caitriona hit it out of the park, I felt her sadness and grief. And poor Furgus, I wanted to give him a hug. It was so sweet of him to take flowers to Claire and ask her to come home then brush her hair. I hope they don't leave him there.

I will miss the vivid colors of France and the characters we got to know especially Mother Hildegard.

I can't even go there with Black Jack or I'll puke. Please, someone kill him!

The trail was tense and the death scene with St. Germain when he saw Claire's neckless change colors and knew he was going to die was done really well, he actually made me feel sorry for him. Then I remembered he admitted to poisoning Claire when she was pregnant and thought, pay backs are a bitch! But the actor was excellent in that scene.

Please take Furgus with you to Scotland.
