I have already deleted the ep, but I thought that MeAgain skirted the Colin K question in her reply?  And said something generic and pre-scripted about peaceful protest?

Instead of giving Meghan the same question as before, she asked about the optics of the Dems kneeling.

  2. Damn you Whoopi! We were finally going to hear Meghan try to explain away her Colin K hate and instead of coming back and asking her that question, they change the topic so she can talk about something else. Sunny's face during that part was funny, but I wanted someone to ask Meghan if she feels differently about the kneeling.

Also, this is the first week I'm actually watching the show since Trudeau's daily briefings starting, but do they all take turns to talk now without any rebuttals or counter-arguments? It seems like an easier way for everyone to say their piece without anyone being called out.

Another day of Meghan bringing up Ilhan again. The thing is tons of people have been talking about defunding the police, including Kamala Harris, so why she feels the need to bring up Ilhan each and every time is such a weird flex to have.

To act like Meghan for a moment, *clears throat* the optics of Meghan bringing up a black woman to criticize when the topic is about police brutality on black and brown communities seems like something people would use against her.

  3. Why is Meghan so obsessed with Ilhan Omar? Did Ilhan bully her when they were younger? Did Meghan say hi to Ilhan one day and Ilhan said "No, I don't speak to people like you."

Why is Ilhan living rent free in Meghan's head that she feels the need to bring her up as much as possible?

Edit: I know Joy hates Trump, but I felt uncomfortable with her glee regarding the protests considering how the protests started and what has happened since. She's happy people are standing up, but these protests didn't just start with Trump, BLM has been an issue for a long time.

    Vanity Fair has a brief write-up - https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2020/06/meghan-mccain-manhattan-protests-claim.

    The closing lines -

    Quote

A rep for McCain told Page Six that the gun aspect is “absolutely untrue” but doesn’t seem to have contested the Virginia claim. Like Kelly Ripa before her, the morning-show host is working remotely from a previously undisclosed location, and she’s using the time to paint in broad, distant strokes.

So it's bad for people to say she went to Virginia for guns, but it's okay for her to lie about the state of her neighbourhood in NY? I don't think she understands that someone could have taken her at her word and done something horrible. What if the police went even more crazy on peaceful protesters due to her words and someone got killed?

Oh, here we go.  MeAgain is the victim.  She has now told us that she is six months pregnant so that is news.

Meghan is definitely the type of Karen who uses her pregnancy as a shield when she's being called out.

Meghan's so dramatic she belongs on Broadway

Lea Michelle was also called out for her antics and she used her pregnancy as a shield too. Seems like the go to defense for white women who are horrible.

  6. Meghan didn't take very long to lie about the protests even though she was so disgusted by the death of George Floyd. She can talk about how much she hates Trump, but she clearly supports what he's doing now.

Ah, I wish the show was back so Sunny (at least I hope Sunny would be the one to do this) to fact check her. Meghan needs to have her privilege thrown in her face.

  7. Taking a week off now, with everything happen, seems weird. They may need the break, but if they call themselves the most important show in the country and are part of the news division, then they should be talking about the current protests. Plus, I want someone to ask Meghan about the Colin Kaepernick and what sort of protests she's okay with.

She HAD to bring up Obama. to justify, that woman  was a liberal.  Gawd, she is awful. I couldn't loathe her any more.  And, why is she allowed to go on and on and on.  She actually gets breathless.  We need Ana, please!!

If the other ladies brought up that the white woman was a liberal and thus racism doesn't care about political sides, then I think it would have been better. But I don't get why Meghan brought it up here. The white woman was also Canadian, but she didn't say that. Or the fact that the white police officer who killed George Floyd was a MAGA Republican.

Are pregnant women banned from leaving the house in New York? Do stores not have special hours for at-risk shoppers? Do rich people not shop online?

I'm so confused by Meagain's constant whining about being unable to go shopping. I guess anything less would work against the martyrdom she's pushing.

I give Meghan a bit of a break here because she's pregnant and some people go crazy with worry when it comes to their first child. Plus, we're currently in a pandemic which would probably heighten Meghan's anxiety by 1000%.

She should go for a walk though, take in the fresh air and talk to her family to help calm her nerves down.

    My take-away from today's episode:

Rebecca Jarvis is  telling people to prioritize their debt, and try to pay what you must for the next few months - year. Call your bank and ask them to work with you on your mortgage payments, ask your landlord for help on your rent, etc.  Many people just may not be going back to the job they had in February - ever.

    Question for Ms. Jarvis:

Where does the daily 'View Your Deal' fit into  'prioritizing ones budget '?  Shall we dive into our 401Ks,  and keep buying over-priced face creams and skin moisturizers to keep the small businesses afloat?  Should we add more to our credit card debt to buy Oprah's favorite  products, even though we're asking for debt forbearance in the first place ?

This is what the show doesn't get right - at all. They're telling people on a regular basis to be careful with their finances during these turbulent times, and spend conservatively to keep a roof over your head.  Then they push this stuff on a daily basis, obviously to profit off each sale available to viewers - who they're cautioning.

It's like having a doctor telling your viewers every day to watch what they eat, eat only healthy foods you cook for yourselves, stay away from processed foods and fried foods, etc.  And then offering your viewers to buy a $100 gift card to Cracker Barrel Restaurants for only $50. Just a bit too crazy.

It doesn't help that the ladies of the View are working at the moment and making a lot of money doing so. So they can spend their money and support the small businesses for View your Deal, but others may not have the same luxury.

Seems to me he was trying to protect himself.

Right? But apparently it wasn't like that to the DA. Arbery was a black man and thus looked like a criminal.

Sunny said she didn't know why a grand jury hasn't indicted the father and son.  Who knows why it didn't happen back in February, but the video of the killing was only released on Tuesday by attorneys for the victim, and right now, there are no grand juries being held in Georgia.

It's because of racism. The DA said that the Arbery tried to grab the gun and thus the lynchers had the right to use deadly force to protect themselves.

  13. The story broke a long time ago, but I'm glad that The View finally covered the Tara Reade story. I didn't like Joy's question regarding Tara's story being used by Trump or bringing up Trump's transgressions. That shouldn't matter and Trump will use anything, because he's Trump and an egotistical narcissist.

Yet again McCain gets to speak twice unlike everybody else. Of course she’s against a black woman—or diversity of any kind, lbr—being on the ticket. She wants rich white people like her to be in charge of everything, but she does not represent the Democratic base. Sunny does. Making Republicans a part of his cabinet is the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard—naturally that would be the Republican’s advice for the Democrats. LOL Maybe when they’re discussing what Democrats should be doing, McCain should keep out of it considering she’s not one of them.

I think Meghan said that she feels like Kamala would be a good choice and that she's voting for Biden, so maybe that's why she wants him to pick Republicans on his cabinet. She wants to vote for Biden but still vote for her team at the same time, so it's not 'cheating.'

So will Sunny not vote for Biden if he doesn’t pick a black woman as running mate?  She sounds so spiteful.

I think Sunny will vote for Biden regardless, but she found Kamala Harris as the best person running and so by not having Harris or Abrams up there Sunny would view the presidency as another place for white people.

I don't agree with her, but this is probably her mindset.

I respectfully disagree, watching that ad only fueled my anger on Both sides of the house. Like Nancy all of these politicians have plenty of money to live on and stock their fridges. Meanwhile my aunt waited in line for three and a half hours at a food bank in San Antonio to receive a bag of onions, pototoes, one dozen eggs, a gallon of milk, and instant oatmeal.

It is very easy for all of these politicians to waste time and argue and accomplish nothing. My only gripe on the ad is that it should show as many house members fridges as possible, but Nancy was the only one they had footage for. Expose them all, I say.

Same here. It's a smart ad.

  18. At least Cookie Monster is fun. I won't be able to see anything live, but it's nice seeing them still push out View your Deals. I'll be honest, if they had View your Deal twice a week I'd be happy only if it meant that we'd get less commercials.

I loved everything Joy had to say about Bernie and she is right in that Bernie has been vindicated with what is going on. I had no interest in what the others had to say due to their disrespect of Bernie..

I had the opposite reaction. Joy and Sunny talking about how Bernie has been vindicated and how important Medicare is just made me feel like these women were either living in a bubble, or they purposely went after Bernie even when they knew he was right. And to contrast that from how he was treated the last time he was on the show, I didn't like it.

Whoopi was smug though. She's still angry that the Senator didn't do her Governor's job and implement free schools and healthcare in Vermont.

Yes to Meredith.   So - Joy, Ana, Meredith.  Who would be a good fit for the younger demographic?

Let's hope she's dressed at all from the chest down.   We know how she likes to feel comfy.

They need a progressive on the show, like a Nomiki or an Ana.

Has pregnancy given Meghan.... Compassion? Does her husband know what she's saying on air?

Many women get cravings and morning sickness during pregnancy. Meghan has developed a craving for leftist views and her morning sickness comes from finding out just how unequal everyone truly is. The baby opened up her eyes to the world, which makes me hope she gets many more because if one baby makes her understand Medicare for All then a couple of more will make her become a progressive advocate that will make AOC look at her with awe.

On John Oliver last night he mentioned a word-a-day website,  Wordeby's Collection of Fine Words, run buy the ultra right wing Chanel Rion, a white house "journalist" on OAN.  She is probably a good friend of Meghan's and a source of her words.

I saw the segment and had the same though lol

Am I hallucinating, or did Megabitch say she watched something by AOC, and was agreeing with AOC?!

It looked like she was starting to say that the healthcare system doesn't work because not everyone can afford the same level of care as the View hosts. For all of her talk about keeping government out of her life, Meghan seems like she's for Medicare for All.

Her baby is making her more left and I'm okay with that.
