  1. I'm looking forward to seeing this season's queens return for the lip synch episode, too.  I bet they will bring their A game!

I've been rooting for Nymphia since MTQ and am hoping she wows us with her final lip-sync.  I can see her pulling off a Sasha Velour- type surprise.  We haven't seen her lip sync on Drag Race, though I've caught a few videos on the web and she is good.

Sapphira will probably take home the crown, though.  The edit seems to be telling the story of her eventual queendom.  I would be happy with this outcome, too, because it is well deserved.

Do tell. I am not on whatever it is! What did she say???

She was upset that some fans found her "annoying" and started name calling and fat shaming them.  The fans weren't even being nasty, but Q took it there plus some.  There is actually a funny meme that came out of it all- an insult generator by Q (Q didn't come up with the generator, just the insults.)

I knew Q’s time was nigh, no matter what happened. So I was basically waiting for the inevitable. I feel the real surprise will be the finale. Sapphira seems to have it in the bag but bitchy queens have won in the past, so it may not be over for Plane Jane.

The LollapaRUza for $50,000 for the eliminated queens is inspired. I am looking forward to it.

Why don't they just write the check out to Mhi'yah now?

Q's Xwitter rampage several weeks ago pretty much confirmed that she didn't end up in the finale.

  4. I would love to know how Sapphira's breastplate grew six sizes during the competition.  Sometimes the judges give advice to the queens that they can't take due to the fact that they have already brought their luggage and don't get to go out and shop for something new.  Maybe the rules have changed...  or maybe DoorDash delivers size 44 DDD breastesses.

I think it's difficult to know what to practice.  In a season set in Wisconsin, wouldn't you expect challenges based on cheese, bratwurst, certain ethnic cuisines - but not stuffed pasta, soup, or roast chicken?  In Top Chef France they don't have to shop for themselves, so Kevin is at a disadvantage there.

No, I would say he has the advantage, having competed in Top Chef before.  He may not have shopped for ingredients in Top Chef France, but the other cheftestants haven't done that OR any of the challenges before. From reading these posts, apparently some of the chefs have appeared in other shows featuring cooking contests.  But, Kevin has the advantage of having done Top Chef before.  I'm sure there are other things that will be different, besides the shopping.

Anthony and your friend are both neurodivergent. Their brains work differently from those of neurotypical people, but not all neurodivergent people think or act in the same way. For instance, your OCD friend is a neat freak, mine has no problem with a mess. If Anthony says his dyslexia contributes to any particular situation, I believe him.

Thanks for this.  I believe Anthony, as well.  He is a talented chef, but lacks organizational skills and when he is the only cook in the kitchen, all that falls on him, too.  I would love to see Fraser, when he is back to being fully staffed, offer a few suggestions on organizing Anthony's workspace instead of criticizing him.

Dylan, the new deckie, is working out whenever he can.  There was another deck like that, always shown doing pull-ups, even when there aren't any pull-up bars.

The casting people can't even find different types of people, they keep re-casting the same types.

Some of those scenes with the chin-ups were Ben.  But, I agree that Dylan is obsessed with working out.  He probably won't hook up with anyone on the crew, since he seems to have a committed relationship with his barbells.

Rewatching and Fraser whining about chef really ticks me off.  Maybe you could pitch in and help instead of being a whining  Glam-boi wannabe.

I have a feeling Fraser is trying to support Anthony, but he tends to have a dramatic narrative when talking about it. I prefer when the chief stews offer support and/or advice to the chefs.  We've seen some good teams over the years.  I remember when Hannah was trying to help Kiko with some ideas.  Well, that didn't end so well, but it was nice to see..

  9. Wow.  I really thought Marina would take it all.  I was shocked when Hanna won that lip synch.  I mean, she did a great job, but so did Marina, who had an amazing track record, to boot.  The only consolation to my surprise of Marina not winning is that Tia was crowned.  She is an amazing person and we have all fallen in love with her since first seeing her in her original season.  Her glow up was great and she excelled in so many challenges. She also ended the season on a high.

I really enjoyed all the queens on this iteration.  There was so much talent and diversity!

  10. I love Sapphira, but her dress for the challenge could be in the running for the Golden Boot.  It was ugly and unflattering.  I cringed each time they showed her dancing in it.  Too bad her original plan didn't pan out.

With Sapphira and Morphine's track record, Sapphira would have had to completely tank and Morphine would have had to tear the house down in order for Ru to send Sapphira home.

With all the complaining about Nymphia (ok, she's my favorite) overdoing the color yellow, why has no one brought up PJ's overly used bodysuit?  Yes, I thought PJ and her partner were good, but I would have given it to Nymphia or Q this time around.

@aghst back when the show first started the theme parties and theme dinners were included because the show wanted to depict what a real luxury yacht charter trip looked like, and sometimes guests did request wacky things like that. Sometimes. So we were given extreme examples of guests who demand extreme things just so we would see how the crew sometimes has to really jump through hoops. Sometimes.

    However, every charter? No.

Now it's just built into the formula and I suspect some of the guests either request things because they've seen them do them on the show or else are given a list of things by production to choose from.

I've seen this happen on all the reality shows. Fame-hungry people apply to be on them and the reality is lost.  After the first year or two, the shows are just repeating popular tropes and storylines.  For the Below Deck franchise, it's a lot of hooking up among crew members and crazy/rude guests.  I'm still hanging in there with Below Deck, but I've given up on some of them.

  12. I was pretty shocked they gave another win to Sapphira.  I don't think even Sasha Colby had as many wins in such a short time and she slayed every time!  They are taking the drama out of the season.  I'm for a final two of Sapphira and Nymphia Wind.  But, I have a feeling Plane Jane is going to be in the finale, as well.

  13. I cannot stand Ben, and his appearance on WWHL just confirmed what an ego-centric jerk he is.  Last season, Camille started something with him and this season, it's Sunny, who I hoped had more sense.  I would love to see Sunny flirt with the new deckhand.

It's too bad Cat couldn't handle the job.  I do believe everyone was trying to support her (with the exception of Barbie), and she still couldn't deal with it.  Xandi was being calm about pointing out some errors in cleaning and Cat fell apart.  It seemed very extreme.  Hopefully she gets some therapy and has a happy life with her support system around her.

Teddi does.  I for some strange reason decided to listen to Two Ts bur then Tamra was not on and the Kyle apologist Carlos King was on.  I made it about 3 minutes in and yes both these fools said she faked it.  I am like umm even AnnMarie said she needed to go to the doctor and the paramedic continued monitoring and her BP did not go down - that magical esophogas  must manifest swelling and high BP.

I'm really annoyed that Teddi is again misinforming the public about Sutton.  Does she have no empathy at all?  When I saw Sutton fall back and exclaim, "whoah, whoah,"  I immediately thought of a seizure.  (Especially when she said she felt super sleepy in her dressing room after- that is very common.). But, after hearing what Sutton reported afterward, I believe it was a combination of dehydration, exhaustion and coming down with bronchitis.  She may have actually fainted for a brief second, as well, and that caused her to shout out when she realized it.

Q was robbed and her face showed her (justified) anger. I could have accepted Jane winning, but Q totally deserved the win.

Sapphira did well. She recovered quickly from her flubs. But her runway was not all that.

I agreed with the Final 2, and although it was likely Mih’ya’s time to go regardless of what she did,  the minute that cape blinded Morphine, Mih’ya may as well have ridden out on it.

I sadly agree with the poster above: it looks like the fix may be in for Sapphira

Yes!  I had the same shocked look on my face that the judges did.  Even with all those flips, she couldn't recover from that...and being on the bottom 4 times.

  16. I was shocked that Q or Plane Jane didn't win this week.  I'm personally rooting for Nymphia and Sapphira, but I thought Q and PJ did better in the challenge.  Their presentation had humor and moved at a good pace, with no blunders.

I didn't think the runway was as strong as others have been, though I did love Nymphia's look.

It was like she was insinuating that he wasn't doing his job of guiding her when she knows damn well that he knows she's more than capable of setting a proper table. That's what irritated him. The girl just can't help herself.

Yep. I’m on Team Fraser with this one. Barbie has a very bad attitude. She couldn’t stop whining about Cat’s excursion with Captain Kerry, even though he said he would plan something with her in the future. BTW, I agree with the posters that said the efoil lesson should have taken place between charters because there was too much work for Barbie to do on her own. It would have served Barbie better to ask if Cat could help with the chores first.

    Absolutely.

Dorit's comment wasn't directed at Garcelle, but rather at Kyle. Her pause gave that away. Plus Andy brought up Garcelle's name not Dorit.

I agree that Andy put Garcelle’s name out there, but clearly Dorit is still upset with Kyle saying they weren’t real friends. Andy couldn’t even get them to “hug it out.” Whereas with Garcelle, there are issues and they probably don’t like each other due to their history, but there isn’t “hurt” because Dorit never considered them friends.

I really couldn't stand the reactions shots of Erika.   Her facial expressions were obnoxious and I hope Kyle looks at that.  For Erika to feel so good about herself confirms she is a sociopath and there is no cure for her.  For her to react to her best buddy Kyle with all those eye rolls shows what kind of best buddy she really is.

I guess it’s Kyle’s turn to be on the receiving end of the eye rolls and dramatic reaction shots. She was the worst offender in seasons past, with her crazy eyes, shocked reactions and more. I always thought it was completely over the top.

  20. I was hoping Jared would pull it together.  To me, he comes across as a nice guy, though a bit all over the place.  His last drinking bout and subsequent reprimand by Kerry should have made more of an impact, yet there he goes again.  The worst thing for me about losing Jared is that a-hole Ben would be made bosun.  Yuck.

  21. The gag of the season:  Plane Jane gives her immunity potion to Nymphia!  Maybe she planned a redemption arc midseason all along.  Giving her immunity to one of the most popular queens during her most stressful challenge (Nymphia has said from the beginning that writing was not in her wheelhouse) can garner a lot of fan support.

I am so happy that nobody went home. It seems perfect for the spirit of the theme this week.  I thought Morphine really stood out this episode and would get her first win.  But, Sapphira really brought it again this week.  I really loved her in the challenge- she was in her element.  Her runway was right up her alley, with extreme eleganza and was a nod to Queen Charlotte (not Marge Simpson, Michelle).  After the popularity of the Bridgerton series, Queen Charlotte is finally getting her flowers.

Seems the whole franchise might be sputtering. Short of hitting an iceberg, how much more drama can they wring out of the same old antics?

It's suffering from being overdone.  Once producers have a successful show, they make every iteration of it ad naseum until viewers have fatigue.  I used to watch 90 Day Fiancé and had to quit because there were so many versions and it was hard to keep up and eventually lost all interest in it.  I'm still hanging in here with Below Deck, but judging from the lack of comments here, I think many have set sail for different shores.
