  1. Brett did find a good comedy, but the season is over.  I want Brett to do more than sitcoms and TV though.

i want him to get movie roles. He’s really a character actor , and I want him to get to play a large range of people because I think he can. Gina and Justin will always sort of be Gina and Justin in their roles, but Brett can really disappear.

  2. “Weird Michael” lol. @thelegacies87 your plot ideas intrigue me.  Alas, we will never know.

I feel better today than I did yesterday; I am assimilating the “new normal” lol.   I still don’t know if I will watch next Wednesday.

Many people on forums hate the Rose mystery; for me, it’s now frankly the only thing I would care about.  Also, I would enjoy those adorable twins!

  3. Yeah, it’s amazing that, even though we barely knew Jason, we could FEEL that  special something during that scene between them, you could se Jane really feeling all their history and their love... and Jason just kind of quietly being his sorta thick cowboy self.  They —Gina and Brett—-are magic together. And I guess that’s why so many of us bought Michael and Jane. (Not all of us, of course).

  4. Don’t think you or anyone will have to put up with the love triangle much longer, Snark.

At this point I would enjoy it more if Michael does turnout to be an illusion. If it is, would that be their grand nod to magical realism? Sure hope this all makes sense in the end.

Well, I guess they are trying to say Michael and Jane are different people now and if he hadn’t ‘died’ they would have broken up cause he was a lying liar who lies? Ugh.

Loved the opening with Jane the Smooth Operator.

This episode was better than last week, but I think they are heading towards ruining Michael.

IKR. It’s really tough to swallow.

@miasth yeah I felt optimistic for jR and Petra, too. #silverlining

  6. After school specially lol.  I hear that. They’re (Jaime/Andrea) really too good to be “used” for that IMO.

I seriously have wondered if they have plucked the Jorge actor off the street.  Don’t know what his background is!

my husband and I both laughed out loud at Anna and Elsa’s scene—they are good indeed!

west coast hasn’t even watched.... seems like there’s always a delay on here...

  7. Thanks for giving me a chuckle, Mariposa.

Because I am really struggling.  I’ve gone from not knowing what to feel, to feeling upset because it seems that  I’m just going to get a little taste of Michael before he’s snatched away forever. I will probably for real cry.

I’m too mired in that to analyze other aspects of the show.

    Still love Petra.

Am enjoying Ivonne Coll, but the actor who plays Jorge is Terrible IMO.

To me the Ro/Xo storyline was ok. I don’t know how they could have done it better, honestly.

Jane full on telling Michael that she would help him later because her family was falling apart....HOLY COW that was f'ed up! She seems to have forgotten that he was part of her family once and that no matter what she is going thru, he had his life literally wiped away and just regained his memories and is probably completely lost. She was being such a selfish jerk.

Rafael ....And why is he taking his anger out on Micheal, who has no fault AT ALL that this is happening. Michael pretty much has his whole line plan uprooted from the minute that Rafael's sister inseminated Rafael's sperm into his girlfriend. What did Rafael think would happen when he found out Michael was still alive. That Michael would just because he saw that Jane and Rafael had moved on that he would say oh good for you both see you, have a nice life?

This show is so frustrating right now.

Yeah, Jane was pretty rude to Michael. And Michael just took it!!

Don’t view Rafael totally like you do, but agree completely with the part I quoted above.

I felt depressed immediately after the show; now I’m just wondering how they writers are going to fix this gigantic clusterf***!  It’s hard to wait every week!!

Probably because he barely had to show up on set at all. I don’t know if his filming schedule with Schooled conflicted with JTV, but he’s basically a glorified guest star at this point.  which doesn’t make any sense because Michael should be  in the throes of the most emotionally traumatic period of his life!

And man, does Justin's acting ability really go down the toilet when he has to enter his old bullshit jealous love rival mode.

Was was the point of Jane seeing Jorje’s junk? So Jorje’s penis gets an entire subplot, but not Rogelio/Michael? Cool.

Petra is the saving grace of this show. Yael is wonderful at showcasing her vulnerability/flaws while imo having the best comedic chops on the show.

I LOL’ed at your comment that Dier likes this season best bc he hardly to show up for work.

ITA about it being ridonk that he is a guest star, NOW, of all times.

Re: the Baldoni acting—Shockingly, I actually have “bought” his tears the past two episodes. First times  ever in 5 seasons!

LOL re Jorge’s goodies plot. Simple comic relief? Are we supposed to assume he and Alba slept together??

Yael is a star. I hope Hollywood realizes it and rewards her.

  10. Gah! I meant to edit not double post

I  guess the 10K line was to show is Michael is a rancher with a decent income??? And that he will be decent and not make Jane pay for any of it.

Nothing innovative or particularly positive  to add, so I won’t.  Trying to remember that Brett has said this was his favorite season to shoot....

e.t.a:  I’m officially depressed as a result of this show.  I should just stop watching, but “I don’t know how to quit you, [JTV]” 😶

  12. I think the ending is no surprise if you’ve read this thread at all.  Kind of a shame as a change from Jennie’s initial ending might have spiced things up.

@funnygirl—I’m a fan of Michael with Jane because yes, I do love me dorky cute white guys. I’m a Latina, too, and married one such dude. It’s been fantastic to hear Spanish on a show so regularly and to feature Hispanic culture in all kinds of different ways, both big and small.  But don’t hate on me just ‘cause I think Brett the gringo is hyper-adorable.  I don’t find Baldoni attractive in the least. And he’s not Hispanic, so I don’t feel guilty for preferring Michael, lol.  Plus, my first crush ever was a blondish, blue eyed South American— old habits die hard, man!

  13. I feel like the right thing to do for both men is to back off and let Jane get her head together. I adore Michael but didn’t like that he said “I know what I want” to her so soon after he just got their memories back. It’s like he doesn’t care that she’s with Rafael, the way Rafael didn’t care that Jane was engaged when he first pursued her. He needs to go back to Montana and give her time.  But of course he won’t, bc it’s a telenovela!

i am just ambivalent about Cordueva now, because it’s just wreaking so much havoc, especially on Mateo.

Brett, on the other hand, could literally charm the pants of me with a single smile.

Snapping my fingers in agreement.  I think Brett is kind of dorky/froggy looking sometimes, but he really rings my bell 🛎 anyway!   Part of it is, his phenomenal acting is a turn on!!  That said, it appears he’s a huge silly goober in real life. Which we sometimes see in JTV, but not to that crazy extent.

I also think Yael is a phenomenal actor, btw.

Michael's return feels like tasting ice cream for the first time after dieting for four years.

Gina and Brett have oceans of chemistry.

Thank God for no Rose! And I'm still nervous that they might kill off Xo.

I need Rogelio to reunite with Michael ASAP

God I hope they don’t kill off Xo. 😞

I can’t WAIT for the first Brogelio encounter!

”Oceans of chemistry”...so beautifully put; almost makes me want to cry again.

    Love the 🍦 🍨  metaphor.

Also enjoy your username.  I may steal some day.

  16. I must have missed something. Why does Petra have all the money (nannies; exclusive schools), and Rafael seems to have none?? Thanks in advance

Not sure how an accidental kick in the face can be construed as “violence against women.” And I speak as a victim of violence at the hands of a male. I think they’re making River’s trauma comedic because she will get Hers in the end; eg the People cover. She is no meek victim.

Also, Agneska the crazy twin paralyzed Petra with a tranquilizer—how is that violence against women? No force was involved at all.

On the third count—the female stalker—I agree it was an unnecessary plot. Maybe they were trying to give Jaime some drama to react to.

  17. I absolutely LOVE the River character lol. My husband and I were cracking up at her face.

I also don’t think Jason meant to intentionally out himself to Mateo,  and I liked that the conversation it engendered showed realistic, age-appropriate feelings.

To me, Jason wasn’t an a-hole, just a pushy dim-witted cowboy 🤠 .  Just my opinion of course.

Hearing Jane and Rafael hope Michael doesn't get his memory back so their relationship doesn't get ruined is, like...villain worthy, you know?

Honestly, at this point, if Michael does get his memory back, I hope he doesn't get back with Jane because it just won't feel right. The fact that Jane even had these thoughts means she really is just about "the moment of love"...Not eternal undying love(or she'd want to be with Michael), or selfless love(or she'd want 100%, with all her might, want Michael's memories to return and not feel obligated and guilty).

I remember reading somewhere Jennie saying that as people mature, they make different choices than they would have in the past.  Which I read to possibly mean, Jane may have chosen Michael in the past, but wouldn’t in the present.  And I get that; it does seem like the more “adult” decision given where she, Rafael, and Mateo are.  It would cause too much upheaval to the child, especially.  Yet she will continue to feel conflicted about it; she’s not a total selfish asshole.

What I am looking forward to is Michael, or Jason, getting back on the Sin Rostro case and trying to figure out what that number means.  As someone pointed out, Jason’s interest in NCIS are the remnants of the “Michael inside”...And, that scene with Rose vehemently reacting to the number seemed an obvious tip off to its significance.

Oh, and I hate Michael’s  bitchy Mom, so I feel little sympathy for her.  The Dad wasn’t a Jane fan, either, so they can both suffer a bit longer as far as I’m concerned.  The actress who plays the Mom was a total mean girl in 80s movies, and I can’t shake that association, lol.

  19. I think MichAel will be sacrificed in some way.   If he leaves/dies a hero, I can be sort of satisfied. If he just decides to walk away out of selflessness or whatever, I don’t know if I could.  Would feel cheap/cruel to me.  I, too, accepted Jafael, albeit slowly and begrudgingly, before this turn of events.  Dier keeps telling people to “enjoy the show” on Twitter, so I am gonna try!
