Helm's little-girl braids don't really inspire confidence, either
Poor Helm, she'll have braids on and off for the duration. The GA hair people love them. Meredith is 50 and wore them last year or the year before.
QuoteI must be too snarky for my own good but I thought Meredith invited Amelia to be a part of the project so even if she moved to Minnesota she wouldn't lose her built-in, 24/7 babysitter for the kids.
Ha! Maybe Maggie will show up next week. Meredith needs Amelia or another neurosurgeon since she has no neuro training or experience other than during her early resident years.
I like Linc and Jo as friends. The show needs more friendships so I am hoping the remain friends with no romance at all.
Glasses remains one of the most irritating characters on television. I'm sure they were going on the George doing the appy vibe from S1, complete with all the friends watching from the gallery, but they got babbling idiot instead.

I know Meredith passed this moment in her career a LONG time ago. but i would be apprehensive of her being attached to any neurological trial. and considering she's general surgeon why is she doing being wooed to do anything nero? Yah she's a grey and she won a Harper Catherine Fox Avery whatever it is called now but, child please
Not to mention the pesky fact that the last neuro trial she was part of was shut down due to her tampering/coverup.

I thought they did a really good job. It was incredibly sad but I thought all the actors were fantastic. I liked that it was written so that we got to see all the people who were close to Nic as they came to terms to what was happening. So often when a character dies on a show it's just 1 or 2 characters reacting then it's onto the next story. I'm a fan of EVC and loved Nic but for me having her go off somewhere or lay in a coma would not have worked for me.
QuoteAnd of course we don't know what caused the accident so we won't move on for ages.

I mean Jo clearly has enough money to hire a nanny for help, what’s going on??? I mean isn’t she saving on rent since she’s got three roommates and a baby in a place with no bedrooms
I don't think it's a money issue. Jo is having a hard time leaving the baby with anyone because she doesn't want Luna to feel abandoned. She made some reference to it last night. Jo moved into Jackson's apartment at the end of last year. Link showed up to stay there. I'm guessing he's still there. It's either days or months depending on whatever timeline they both live in. I've never understood why Grey's can't have some sort of normal timeline like other shows. It doesn't have to be perfect but having all the characters on the same would be a great start.
QuoteWhy would she be needed for a Parkinson's trial? It's years since she did Neuro and how much could she contribute to the trial? I would have thought she would have said she would rather help with some form of dementia or Alzheimer's trial, rather than Parkinsons.
I know Grey's is no where near real life in terms of anything medical but Meredith being involved in any Neuro trial is absurd (if it's more than her giving $$$ or something). I know on the show she is The Sun and the most amazing doctor ever but she never even completed a Neuro fellowship. She's a general surgeon. They could just have her do a trial suited to General surgery instead and it wouldn't seem so out there.
Quotehow long is it since Maggie and Winston's wedding?
Maybe they delayed taking a honeymoon due to COVID? Last year ended with everyone getting vaccines & this year is post-COVID so that kind of makes some sense.

Isn't Megan Owen's sister, not his ex-wife? But I think he did have a wife before Christina, it was pre-show and she died or something?
He was engaged to a woman Beth before Cristina but I don't recall them being married.

So, read on multiple fb posts that Alex and Izzy's kids were listed as cast members for the first episode. Anyway, I went to have a look. Not only are they listed, but so are Sara Ramirez, Jessica Capshaw, Kate Walsh and a couple of other old cast members. Not Justin or Katherine, but still. Was actually hoping for Martin Henderson, but his name wasn't there :(
Is this people reaching and hoping or actual possibility? If it is a possibility, it's going to be a very full on episode.Any thoughts?
None of them are listed on ABC's press release for the first episode.

Edited to add: IMDB does list some others in episode 2. My guess is flashbacks since Derek is listed too.

Stacey & Derek are going to do a podcast where they talk about BHS of each episode. Sounds fun. Info here from Stacey on Twitter:

I liked it enough to watch a few more. It reminds me of the movie Sliding Doors.

Derek was the ideal man? Some of us were calling him McDouche for a reason (or names along those lines).
To Shonda he was.
Now that I read the excerpt from the book there seems to be a disconnect to how he was viewed by many actors & how he was viewed by the producers & EP. So long ago, glad they've all moved forward.
I did find it interesting that they had a whole storyline ready to go with Derek in DC. I'm not sure if fans of the couple would have been happy with that but IMO they could have done that for a year then have him just live there off screen when his contract ended.

Right before the beam fell on Smike, I wondered aloud if a beam could fall on both of them, thus putting us out of our misery. I guess I got part of my wish but alas, he’ll not only live but wake up remembering who he is and wondering what he’s doing there. Then he’ll rush back to PC to stop the wedding. 🙄
Likely. I guess it's better than him forgetting both Sonny and Mike & him going off to Pine Valley where he meets Hayden and it takes another 9 months for someone to find him.

I hope she brings Riggs back with her. I know I can watch Virgin River to see Martin Henderson, but the more Martin Henderson on my TV screen, the better.
There's a promo & speculation that Riggs is the patient so be careful what you wish for!
Also from the promo - please, please, please, please, please let Ellis be a flashback & not vision, ghost, coma Ellis that chats with Meredith.

I can’t seem to remember or find this episode. At the beginning of the episode there was a woman and, possibly her husband/boyfriend, who says something about having “auras” (partial seizures). Or the husband/boyfriend interrupts and says “what about your auras?”. It wasn’t one of the more popular episode and I can’t seem to find it on google. I’ve experienced these auras and I really just want to find out which episode it was. I don’t remember what her diagnosis was, which is the reason I want to find it. Please help!
I'm not sure it's the one you're looking for but Sometimes a Fantasy in season 3 may be it. Take a look.

There is an episode 7, a behind the scenes/bonus footage. It's boring. I came here to warn you that there is footage of Ty in the ocean playing Baywatch or something.

How many times has "can't wait for a behind the scenes book" been said in forums over the years? It's here.

I think it's likely flashbacks with him is where we will see Ellis. Far better than ghost/vision Ellis.

Did the trough on the deck have a drain? If not, how is it supposed to be emptied?
I thought the same. Also, was there a hose connected up on the deck? It would have to be dumped/cleaned/refilled after someone used it. I don't get why anyone would want that. I could see a kiddie pool/play area under the deck or something but the tub seemed useless.

I don't think they would do it but if Kate Burton returns as Ellis in a narrator capacity the show could go on as Grey's Anatomy.
-
Hoping it's going to be some kind of flashback and not more chatting with the dead.

You can go here to watch Roku shows on your laptop.
https://therokuchannel.roku.com/There’s also android and iOS apps for people who don’t have a fire stick or roku device.
I didn't know they had that, thanks for the info! I have Roku built in my tv but know others that will want to watch.

I guess I have to learn how Roku works.
It's a streaming device. They have their own channel that will air Zoey (assuming it goes through). It's free & works on both Roku and Amazon Fire (stick or box) streaming devices.

S18.E02: Some Kind of Tomorrow
in Grey's Anatomy
· Edited by windsprints
I know all the medical shows are different & Grey's focuses more on the relationships (supposedly) but I just don't get why GA cannot have some decent residents like other shows. I looked on IMDB and Glasses has been in 77 episodes (a couple may not have aired yet so 77 give or take), He's well into his residency even with the wonky non-time. He shouldn't be behaving like a bumbling first week intern. In 77 episodes there's been little growth for him as a doctor. Same for all the interns. If you watch The Resident who would you want for your doctor - Glasses or Devon Prevesh (75 episodes)?
I think Meredith becoming a mother was part of them showing she did not become her mother. She & Derek becoming parents was a big step so I get why they wrote her having a family. While thankfully she is not awful like Ellis they rarely show any warmth between Meredith and her kids. We saw it with Derek and the kids. I think there's been more motherly moments with Amelia & Maggie and Meredith's kids than Meredith. I don't expect to see any of the characters children all that often (especially now with COVID restrictions still in place) but a moment here and there could have gone a long way.
