And was Toni Trucks pregnant during production? I searched this forum and did not see any comments

Yes. I don't know exactly when but she had her baby a few months ago.

  2. They should have had the couple from Restoring Galveston judge one episode. I think Surfside is right next to Galveston. They know the market, what buyers there are looking for & what would add value to homes there. They could even team HGTV hosts with a local real estate agent.

If the show returns next season I'd like to see a complete revamp - new mentors and something different with the judges.

  3. Tainya's team should have won. Ty's team had a nice bathroom but that wall canceled it out. I've liked some of the stuff Alison's team has done in the past but this week their room was a hot mess.

IMO, the judges should be rotated with different ones every week. These judges pretty much ruined the season IMO.

Sorry, but am I the only one who thinks Ashley Williams is looking like a grandma? No offense to grandmas out there but she is supposed to be a leading lady in a romance movie. Sorry, I'm just not buying it.

She's 43 & Ryan is 37 so they are in the same age range. I'm not bothered by movies having people older than 30 finding love.

I agree that her delivery of the dialog in the promos seems too comedic but will have to see the movie to see how it all plays out overall. I'm neutral on her overall. I find her ok in some stuff but not others.

Brandyn & Roosevelt aren’t having fun - at all.

Agree, they seem miserable. I'm finding this season pretty bad. Everything is so bland & I find the judges unlikable. I find Allison's team the best so far but they are blah too.

Every time they show Ty I just want someone to come by and take his hat so we can see just how bald he is, lol.

I'm also not a fan of Mark and Amy.  I am surprised they basically had an Heard/Depp trial type episode so quickly.

I thought it was like the Trevor Bauer case.

I think the show will find it's footing again. It has new show runners, a new network and has to unwind from what they thought was the end of the show.

  7. I never heard of the judges before watching the episode. After going on about finishes & mistakes Bryan says nothing about the cabinet being wrong. It was so obvious that it didn't line up with the counter or back splash. I know the couple mentioned it but I would think that was a noticeable error the judges would bring up. I found that couple annoying after the auction & "technically not ship lap". I hope they lose.

Ty still looks like someone who washed up on the beach and slept there for a week before wandering in.

I can only remember Amelia sleeping with Owen, Linc and Kai over the 10 seasons. Who am I missing?

I don't remember her sleeping with anyone else either, at least not since she came on Grey's.

We need a "Who Slept with Who" chart, lol. Maggie slept with as many as Amelia didn't she? And, Meredith slept with her sister's ex (Andrew). Owen married as many people as Amelia slept with. I don't see Amelia sleeping around any more than anyone else.

And wouldn't it have been far more daring if one of the male characters fell for Kai? Why is it that only the female characters on this show have been fluid? All the men are gay or straight, no in-betweens.

LOL, Kai/Nico in S19! Just imagine the chemistry.

The whole set-up also leads to a very confused up chain of command

The job titles/duties has never made any sense at all on Grey's. Nurses don't exist outside of the OR, surgical residents do the work of ER doctors half the time, this big elite hospital has 1 attending (world class of course) per specialty, department heads can just take off to another hospital for months even if there's no attending to cover the department (Amelia) & Richard gets random job titles that fit for an episode or 2 then are forgotten. They don't even try.

Since half of them quit, Meredith is now in charge of everything (eye roll) & has no boss she can hire someone to take her place and leave like she wanted.

  10. I agree with others, this would have been a good series finale with all the flashbacks, etc. Overall I enjoyed the episode.

I don't get why Meredith couldn't just delay MN for 3-6 months & help fix the program - what people asked her for prior to this episode. She's one of the owners & her children likely have a stake too. It would also have given her time to sell her house and purchase one in MN.

I don't think there will be any big departures but maybe some residents will leave (bye Glasses!). My guess is that we'll have an episode or 2 of Meredith being bitter that she stayed then a time jump where The Program The Sun Built will be #1 in the world and everyone is back along with some new residents. I can see her being full blown Ellis-like for an episode or 2.  I can see Nick staying and Bailey being the first return. Richard & Catherine return from their break then Owen & Teddy coming back after nothing happens with the police. I'd be all for most of them going and Addison returning. Can we trade?

I'm glad Jo & Linc are back as friends and hoping they keep it platonic. I really wanted Linc back with Amelia but I think they're destroyed beyond repair. They were the first pairing in years I was really rooting for but Kai will probably come to Seattle now.

    except the white saviour doctor

The Sun is always the savior, no other doctor is as special. It was ridiculous that she was even there. The hospital was staffed & she had a house full of people.

I like Nick.  He is a grown up, secure and emotionally available.  Clearly this relationship is destined to fail.

I found him like a block of wood most of this season but I now that he's with people other than Meredith there's some life in him. He's growing on me, I liked him tonight.

Glad Winston's brother is gone. Hoping nothing more comes of the story - he scammed them for an extra 10K and now he's gone.

Bailey tapping on the car window seemed like a callback to Bailey saying "move this tail wagon" to Meredith and Derek in the car way back when. IIRC she didn't have fun at that party either, lol.

I hope they manage to bring a bit of joy in the 2 hour finale since it's the 400th episode. A little celebration & happiness for the characters would be a welcome change. But it's Grey's so there will probably a volcanic eruption as a plane crashes across the street from the hospital as the hospital falls into a sinkhole. Then The Sun will save 400 patients all by herself.

"Meredith Grey can quit then so can I."  Bailey, did you forget that you're Chief of Surgery? And there is a crisis at the moment? God, these people are so selfish.

Yep, all of them are selfish. Bailey was acting like a child telling a parent that her friend's parents let her go somewhere. Bailey could have talked to Meredith like an adult and asked her to split her time or delay her start date to help get things back on track. I don't understand how Meredith wouldn't want the program back on track since she is an owner with a financial stake in the hospital.

Isn't Meredith head of General Surgery? She took off to MN and left them having to pick up the slack (as did Amelia). I can't recall if she was head of the residency program when she took off to MN or if she gave that up to Richard beforehand.

I have no interest in and would rather have off my screen such as Schmidt, Helms, Hot Asian Guy, Teddy and Owen.

This residency program problem could have been the perfect opportunity tl clear some of these people out! But nope, we'll be stuck with them until the end of the show.

    1. The comments to try to get Meredith to stay were ridiculous - "we raised you", etc. The arguments to get her to stay should have been along the lines of "you're part owner", "stay until we get back on track", etc. I found Meredith's reaction ridiculous also. She left for a year after Derek died and made the decision to return to this hospital instead of going elsewhere. She was also all set to leave when Derek had the offer in DC & changed her mind on him at the last second. It was obvious that Nick would be the one to move to Seattle & that she wouldn't leave so it felt like a lot of unnecessary drama.

I was happy to see Addison. I wish she and Amelia would have had more scenes, she is closer to Amelia than Meredith.

Overall the episode was meh. Bye Bailey's intern, glad you weren't a totally crazy stalker. Bye Winston's brother, you're not too bright to buy all that without any proof it worked. I was hoping Glasses and Helm would go but guess we're stuck. Teddy can go at any time too.

I hope the last 3 (is that how many there are?) are decent episodes & then manage to end on an up note. Maybe the 400th will be a good one.

If the rest of these series is going to be Meredith Grey vs All the Black People because they can't run the hospital without her, the producers should just end the show right now. I don't know who thinks this storyline is a good idea because that was just painful to watch and not even remotely entertaining.

To be fair, it's been Meredith Grey - The Sun, who is the best at everything, second to none for years now. For years and years every other episode has someone giving a speech about what a wonder she is. She's better than everyone according to the show, not just black people. Look at how they treated the whole MN storyline. The other people did most of the work but the amazing Meredith is given all the credit.

For the coach's house - they should have given them back a huge sectional - but  one that was on a smaller scale/clean lined... and in a performance fabric.

I agree. They talked about the sofa seating so many plus kids sitting on the floor. Taking out & replacing with half the seating was stupid, like they didn't even listen to the couple. But hey, there's a stupid peg board. They couldn't even bother staying until the end.

I really liked when Ben & Erin went to the other town. I thought this show would be like that one but Ben & Erin aren't even on this show. It's pretty much send an HGTV star they want to push, put up a mural/sign, redo part of a small house and some other little project then call it a day. Maybe if they spent some time in the town and did a couple of more projects it would be better but as it is now I find it dull.

  14. I never knew GAC existed prior to last Christmas. I just googled and it became it's current form in September 2021. From wiki, it sounds like they  will be moving more into original movies going forward:

    Quote

On June 7, 2021, Discovery, which had agreed to a merger with WarnerMedia, announced that it would divest Great American Country to GAC Media, an investment group led by private equity investor Tom Hicks and former Crown Media Holdings CEO Bill Abbott. GAC Media would also acquire the equestrian network Ride TV.[7]

In August 2021, GAC Media announced that it would relaunch Great American Country and Ride TV as GAC Family and GAC Living on September 27, with the GAC initials re-backronymed to stand for "Great American Channels";[8] GAC Family was repositioned as a family-oriented general entertainment service with similarities to Hallmark Channel, which Abbot had previously overseen as Crown Media CEO.[9] The previous country lifestyle format was assumed by Ride TV, which concurrently rebranded as the sister channel GAC Living.[9]

As with Hallmark Channel, the relaunched network planned to emphasize original made-for-TV movies as part of its programming slate: it signed deals (some of which multi-film) with a number of actors associated with Hallmark Channel productions,[10]

I think someone like Chrissy Metz would be wonderful in a Hallmark movie.

I am wondering who from the 2000s or 2010s could become the next big Hallmark actor or actress. I think a couple of the Vampire Diaries actresses have done a few of these flicks. One of the Glee entertainers?

Kat Graham did a Hallmark Christmas movie and a Netflix Christmas movie. She would be a good option.

Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights) has done a couple of HM movies. I'd like to see her in more. She was in My Christmas Family Tree in 2021.
