  1. This is the same scenario I came up with. But instead of having Abigail get struck/killed by Cody, it should be one of the drunken customers at the new rowdy saloon who mounted his horse (or wagon) and plowed her down. This would be a good way to introduce the topic of "drinking and driving." Additionally, the accident could damage Abigail's face to the point that, once the swelling subsides, she will never look the same (hence, recast her role) I sure hope someone from Hallmark is reading these comments...lol.
  2. Heard some people say Hallmark wanted to let Lissing go because his off-screen persona wasn't clean. If I had to guess, I personally think they felt having Elizabeth become a single mother would make her character more empowered and relatable to feminist viewers. That's just the way things are done these days--daddy/husband is no longer a necessary part of family life. Women can (and should) do it all on their own. Sigh! Oh well, in the absence of WCTH tonight, I found myself watching season 2 episode 3 of the old "Christy" series with Kellie Martin. David proposed to Christy the school teacher (reminded of Jack and Elizabeth). Christy seems to be slightly interested in the doctor (reminds me of Elizabeth's ex-beua Charles ). Alice Henderson, the quaker who just about runs the town, reminds me of Abigail Stanton. And on the next expisode David's big-city girlfriend returns to fan their old flames (reminds me of Rosemary). I guess I really must be having WCTH withdrawals.
  3. This certainly broke things down for me. I didn't know that there were all those violations involved. Thanks!
  4. I was sort of wondering along these lines too. Although she was dead wrong for what she did, why did they specifically decide to make an example of her?
  5. That is about the only thing that can save this show right now. Losing two prominent actors from the show just ain't gonna work.
  6. They should take into consideration WCTH fans have already waited close to a year to see season 6. They have filmed eight episodes so far I think. So they should air those episodes and recast her character. Who knows, maybe after all negative attention has died died down, they may bring her back in two or three years--if the series is still on. I just want to say that I'm sorry Lori got herself into this mess. I don't relish kicking people when they are down. Maybe she will learn from this thing and become a better person. But yeah, she's got to face her consequences. Sorry for the impending fate of the show too...it really was a good show in the beginning.
  7. I don't know who would have the acting chops to pull it off but if you want look-a-likes Paige Turco, Keri Russell, or even Christie Brinkley would come close. Thing is, I don't know if they have the clean image that Hallmark would want.
  8. This is being called "the largest college admissions scandal in history"...I don't think it's going to die anytime soon.
  9. I don't know if the show "Fuller House" is still running. If it is I wonder how they will handle the negative publicity? Is Lori out or will they keep her?
  10. I was hanging in there watching the show because it was still by far the cleanest program on Hallmark--but yep, I can see the tide changing with WCTH. Hallmark, like other stations, get you hooked on a decent show with decent morals and then "BOOM" pretty soon you're watching a completely different series then when you first began. I also read that she had a hand in Daniel's departure but I thought pretty much like everyone else, that she wouldn't do something to undermine her own show. On the flip side, sounds like those school officials went looking for these couples to entice. If this is so, Lori (and all the others) might just get off on the basis entrapment. Well, I can't feel sorry for her. Like everyone else, she will have to own up to her wrong-doing and face the consequences.
  11. Hallmark is not so wholesome as people think. I think they probably will keep Lori on. WCTH ratings are high...so money talks and bull walks! The more I think about this whole scandal the angrier I become. When I think about the hard time my own daughter had with getting a high enough SAT score just to get into a decent university, and then people like Lori pays off the school officials who just let their children waltz in, it really just ticks me off!
  12. By the way, I would love to meet back on this board each Sunday after an episode of WCTH. I would love to compare notes on season 6. I hope the show gets better. This season is supposedly breaking ratings records but I honestly don't see it.
  13. Lol. I really don't know the name of Abigail's daughter-in-law. But the name of the guy she dates is "Jesse". Frank was the name of the pastor Abigail used to date (back when the town went to church). This is probably the only story line I'm interested in at present. The only loss Lee suffered was during his childhood when his baby-brother died. As for the look on Rosemary's face, I'm guessing she has experienced some health problem that renders her infertile. Or it could also be that she and Lee have been married long enough for her to have been pregnant but no babies have materialized which has her worried. However, she definitely sees the look of happiness on Lee's face when he's playing with Baby-Jack. I was thinking the same thing about that horse....it will be ready for the glue factory by the time that baby grows up. Henry has changed and that's good but I always thought Abigail and Bill would be better together. I don't think the mayor should be paired up with an ex-felon--especially one who was responsible for the death of her husband. Besides, Henry even admitted last night that he's an opportunist. It wouldn't be long before his old ways returned with him winding up owning most of the town--which something similar (oil wells) is suppose to happen in one of the up coming episodes. Abigail and Bill are on the same side of the law and would make a better couple. Besides, Bill is just more of a rugged take-charge kind of guy-- I miss seeing this type of man in today's movies. I might be the odd one here but I LOVE BILL!
  14. I really am trying hard to like season 6 without the Jack-Elizabeth story line but I'm disappointed every time an episode ends. I just can't take seeing Elizabeth jog behind a bicycle or go on-and-on about how the baby cries. Additionally, the new characters try to be mysterious but really come off as boring. The whole feel of the show/town is changing. Also, Carson and Faith just don't have the same chemistry as Elizabeth and Jack; and she and Carson kissed way too soon. With Jack and Elizabeth the tension built up for at least a year before they kissed. If this isn't bad enough, the episodes seem shorter and end so abruptly and awkwardly. Everything so far is a hot mess! I read the episodes synopsis for episode 4 and 5. Seems Elizabeth is going to introduce herself to the new Mountie in episode 4. In episode 5 Elizabeth will be challenging the new mountie (Nathan) about his "style of parenting." I just don't see the logic or natural flow of any of these episodes. I continue to watch WCTH because it's better than watching all the junk on the other channels. However, I would like to be able to say that I watch it because it good.
