  1. Some of my Random thoughts on Charmed Kind of wished that the show started with the sisters all having led separate independent lives, in different cities, until their Grams died & they came together, learned about magic and formed new healthier relationships with each other as adults instead of just backsliding into old familiar patterns. Hated the lack of consistency in Character Development, Powers, Relationships & Rules of Magic e.g. Personal Gain Consequences was a Crap-Shoot, as well as how gimmicky and fantastical the show became the longer it ran. I preferred the more serious tone of the first 4 seasons. I also think the plot lines of season 4 should of been split into two seasons and not meshed into one. Wished they could of explored the Magic more instead of just relaying on their Active Powers. Wyatt should of just had the power of Projection if he had to be all powerful, Chris should have had Powers new to the Warren Line and Paige should of only had ~ Orbing, TK Orbing{advancements of Remote Orbing & Orb Shield later on} & Sensing her family/evil, maybe Photokinesis as well, as that could of a good defensive power without being overpowered. The rest of Paige powers on the show were mostly gimmicks to move plot along and made her more Whitelighter than Witch, especially since with the Right Spell or Potion they could of probably been mimicked as needed. Paige is my favourite Sister despite the Writing, but they did her dirty so many times ~ introducing her whilst the sisters are still very deep in their shock/grief instead of later on, having her giving up her dream of being a Social Worker, working various crappy Temp Jobs, becoming a Whitelighter whilst still alive, no friends outside flaky Glenn which didn’t last long, zero contact with her surviving adoptive family, as well as down-grading her Alcoholism to merely a footnote despite inheriting it from her Dad, and her forgiving/growing close to Patty but not Sam when they both gave her up and Patty had her other daughters to comfort herself with. I did love her with Henry and wished they could of met sooner, maybe seeing them becoming foster/adoptive parents themselves to magical kids who would have had a harder time in foster care having to hide their own family magic. Hated Magic School, it never should of existed, though loved the fact that Wyatt went Evil due to the traumatic actions of a so called ‘Good Guy’. Also hated the execution of Billy & Christy storyline, the plot wasn’t that bad ~ Witch kidnapped & brainwashed by Evil, Desperate Sister trying to find & save her, one sister manipulating the other, them joining forces and trying to take out the Charmed Ones who are suffering from various degrees of Burnout, the magical world turning against the Charmed Ones, the manipulated Sister seeing through the deception and being forced to kill her brainwashed sister who is too far gone. There should have been an underground Witches Network to help and support each other as needed, without constantly relying on Whitelighter’s who follow the orders of unknown and out of touch people, would of led to some interesting new characters and relationships. I am amazed that Piper didn’t bind Wyatt & Chris Powers as she once said that she was thankful that her own powers were bound as a child and it would have been more inline with her Character arc of wanting a normal life. Also kind of wished she met Mark Chao whilst he was alive and gotten together with him, the longer Leo and Piper were together the more dysfunctional they became. Didn’t like Phoebe after she got together with Cole, they were both unhealthy for each other, she should died instead of Prue, it would have been an interesting dynamic between her and Paige as they are very similar but Paige was allowed to be a child longer. It could of also led to more character development for Cole with him fighting Evil for his own reasons and not because he wants to keep his girlfriend/obsession happy if you didn't want him going full on Evil. Or if Phoebe had to live then she should of ended up as a Psychic Police Consultant{we could of seen more Daryl}, or as a Manager for P3 with Piper opening a second business i.e. the Restaurant of her dreams.
  2. I know I'm late to this but here are some of my not so Unpopular Opinions + Garcia has gone the way of NCIS Abby 40+ woman, acting and dressing like a teenager with magical hacker powers. Hate it. I also don't like the fact that she manipulates Reid into going on a case during leave after Maeve dies. IRL she would probably have been fired - playing online video game on work computer, keeping cases open without authorization, hacking...etc. + Hate the Maeve storyline as well as the Prison storyline, they were pointless and unnecessary. I also don't like the Reid teaching plotline, I always thought that Reid's choice to join the FBI to actively use his knowledge to help people directly, was him escaping the traditional academic/research paths laid out before him, wanting more. + I miss the early Hotch & Spencer relationship, I saw Hotch as more of a mentor than Gideon who was a manipulative & mercurial egotist. I sometimes wished that we could of seen Gideon again years later having not healed from his multiple breakdowns and turned unsub. + I don't like Morgan or the fact that he's supposedly Reid best friend, they have nothing in common beyond the job. Immature Jock Bully. I also don't like the fact that Morgan didn't at least anonymously report Carl Budford once he was in college or on the police force. + I don't like JJ & I don't really see the relationship between her and Reid as being as deep and strong as they would have us believe, JJ seemed to look down on Reid a lot and if Reid was allowed to use his intelligence properly he would of realized that and not blindly trusted her - they should of stayed work friends only. + Hated the fact that Gideon engineered a date between JJ & Reid, which is highly unprofessional but idiotic since outside the fact that I don't see them as compatible, the relationship couldn't have gone anywhere due to FBI fraternization rules + If they wanted Hotch to become a single dad and explore that, why couldn't they have just had Haley die in a car accident or something, we already had the Unsub targeting Profiler's loved ones storyline, with Frank and Gideon. + Hated the fact that the team seemed to be team William Reid; abandoning his son to mentally ill wife, moving something like 20 minutes away and cyber stalking his son is not ok + I didn't like the fact that nobody had any real social life out of the job, that wasn't shopping or dating, and whilst I didn't necessarily want the show to show it, a throwaway line here and there about going to a museum/gallery exhibit or concert or golfing or something with friend/s shouldn't have been outside the writers capabilities. + Thought there should of only been a proper PTSD storyline with actual effective therapy, instead of a drug addiction after Hankle, and it would of contrasted nicely with Elle storyline where she broke & Reid healed after suffering trauma. + I wished that Reid left the team and later on joined Beyond Borders team after serving in another department for a while, such as on Josh Kramer organised crime team or a missing person team or even a cold case team {Yes I'm a fan of Without A Trace & Cold Case they were good shows}, it would of allowed him to grow beyond the old team/safety net. + They never should of gotten rid of the Media Liaison role, and the team should of consisted only a team leader, second, junior, media liaison & tech support at Quantico as needed, five people max, Rossi role should of been as guest star/consultant only, he was too old to be a active agent again, though I do like Rossi, more so for the fact that it gave Hotch someone to talk to that wasn't his subordinate and he had more in common with. + I wish they had found out and hunted that truck stop killer with the tattoo they hinted at but we never saw again. + I didn't mind JLH, but then I was a fan of the first three seasons of Ghost Whisperer, and it was nice to see her in something different. I didn't mind her husband either but the niece/daughter should of been shown less. + I didn't mind Matt as I liked him on Beyond Borders, just wished they could of given us a few more seasons of Beyond Borders, it was 10 times better than that other spinoff that I forgotten the name of. + I don't really remember Stephan Walker, and I disliked Ashley Seaver and Jordan Todd, particularly Seaver who as a cadet should of been no where near the BAU especially since she was not a genius like Reid.
  3. So I'm late to this post, but here are ramble of some of my opinions on Charmed:- The show should of started with all three sisters having led separate independent lives, in different cities, until their Grams died and they came together, found out about magic and struggled to form new relationships with each other as adults instead of backsliding into old patterns - would of made things a bit more interesting. I hated Grams, she destroyed her daughter and granddaughters lives and pushed Victor into abandoning his children, she should of died instead of Patty, allowing her to grow and become Independent maybe even fix her marriage, years later both Patty and Victor would have been killed by a demon which would have led to their daughters coming together and discovering their gifts. Hate the lack of consistency in Character, Power & Relationship development, after all Paige & Leo were friends in the beginning, enough so that Paige actually confided in Leo and that all disappeared later on, as well as in the rules of Personal Gain, with big breaches getting no consequences and little breaches getting major consequences. Magic school should never have existed though do like the Idea that it wasn't Evil that turned Wyatt but a misguided 'Good guy' - Hate the elders and we should of never have seen them on Screen. Wyatt and Chris should of had their powers bound at birth, it would be more in character for Piper who once said that she was thankful that her own powers were bound as a child. Wyatt should not have had the power of Projection and they both should of had new powers not a copy of Prue/Paige. Leo should of also divorced his wife and left with his sons, since Piper was not a good wife and would be an iffy mom, particularly to boys, thanks to Grams influence in her life. Paige is my favorite sister despite the writing but Paige should of only had the power of Orbing, TK Orbing, Remote Orbing, Orb Shield, Sensing, Healing, and maybe Photokinesis, all her other powers were a waste, if not an outright gimmick to move plot along and made her more Whitelighter than Witch, not to mention too powerful. I hated Paige giving up her career as a Social Worker and her later focus on her whitelighter side, she should of only become a whitelighter when she died permanently. Loved her with Henry, they match up really well and wished she met him sooner. Loved the fact that Paige had surprise twin daughters, would of loved to have seen her and Henry become foster parents to other magical children with Henry keeping everyone grounded. Hated the fact that Paige seems to grow close to Patty but not Sam, after all they both gave her up and for Sam she was his only child whereas Patty had 3 others that she actually kept and that she could console herself with. Also hated the fact that her alcoholism is nothing more than a side note especially since it's shown that she's inherited it from her father. Hated the fact we don't see any magical relatives, or even Paige adopted relatives who she actually seemed close to in the first few episodes of season 4 but then disappeared. Hated Phoebe, and hated the constant costumes. I think she should of died instead of Prue, but if she lived that she should of ended up either as a psychic consultant for the police, I missed her Premonitions in later seasons, or as a manager of P3 or another club, she would of been good in a entertainment/promotional type job. Not as a advice columnist. Astral Projection should not of been on the show, or if it had been it should of gone to Phoebe not Prue, and with Levitation as a extension of Telekinesis. Would of loved to have seen Piper and Mark Chao together, since they had good chemistry, and it would of added another person of color into the predominantly white cast, and one that was much more likable than Daryl.
