  1. I agree about the patchy beard - what I hate even more is that pasted down patch of hair! Either have no hair, or some soft hair that is touchable!! More importantly, why is he so afraid of getting intimate with her? He needs to realize now is the time to take it to the next level, and being more intimate will help them bond & bring them closer at this point. No more "I need to get to know you better". There's something a little off about him in that respect.
  2. But sounds like they were in a bar or restaurant, right? When you go out with your spouse, you don't just go off on your own for 40 min without a word, that's just rude. She was probably sneaking shots at the bar.
  3. No, Beth is the violent one! Jamie just sits there & watches her make an ass of herself!
  4. Totally agree on all counts!
  5. Yeah, I think after 3-4 weeks he realized she really has some deeper issue, and just rode out his time...
  6. I don't think Jamie & Liz will last at all, esp if she can't tame her temper!
  7. You took one sentence out of context. I didn't say no help from him, I said exactly HOW! Yes, it takes two - ONE of them has to initiate. He gave her plenty of space & time; when it was clear she wasn't even talking about it, HE should have tried. And yes - I would think an adult virgin woman who MARRIES a man SHOULD be able to decide, one day, that, YES - it's time I found out what it's all about. I'm curious, at least. She didn't have to start with full-on wild sex, but, man, let's get some intimacy going. She would barely kiss him goodnight!! I believe I remember him saying in the beginning that he WAS attracted to her, thought she was beautiful. I don't think he wanted her to fail at all - they were never able to fully open up to each other on the subject.
  8. I get the impression that Iris has some deeper issue with sex – if it was really just about saving yourself until marriage, well, she was married to a kind, respectful, good-looking gentleman, so so who better for a first lover? We should all have been so lucky! Every week, I was hoping she would finally give it a try… Keith was SUCH a gentleman, I think he was waiting for her to come out & say, “OK, I’m ready”, but that didn’t happen. I kept rooting for them, saying, “C’mon, Keith, start w some sweet, slow goodnight kisses, gentle touching, see if you can loosen her up…” but it seems he was afraid to initiate, too… He TRIED to talk about it with her, but wouldn’t come right out & say it: No modern man is gonna commit to a marriage when he doesn’t know for sure they are sexually compatible. I think he was afraid if he communicated that, he’d be accused of being all about sex. But he has every right to think that way, as sex IS part of marriage. It did seem like they had chemistry, and Iris SAID she wanted to find intimacy, but since she never let Keith take the wheel in EIGHT WEEKS of marriage, maybe she has a deeper rooted fear for some reason – perhaps she was molested as a child, and maybe her parents don’t even know… there is definitely SOMETHING more going on with her… I hope she gets the help she needs… I wish them both the best.
  9. Will & Jas - obvious from the beginning that he wasn't attracted to her, but was obligated to give it a go. Sometimes a person becomes more attractive to you once you get to know them - but Jas has zero personality, and just wants someone to pay all her bills. I think Will got it right. AJ & Steph - a lot of people say he's a jerk, but I think he's just insecure, plus short-tempered, which he admits & is willing to work on it. It can be done. Steph's willing to give him that chance - she's a very secure person - if AJ doesn't really make the change, and grow up, she will have no problem kicking him to the curb! Keith & Kristine - He, too, got motivated to work on himself, get off the couch, and learn something new. Seems like that's what saved it for them, and they are both attracted to each other, too - no problems there. I think they have a real chance. Luke & Kate - I said from the beginning that I felt like Luke had some other agenda - at first I thought he just wanted notoriety for his speed dating business, but after he kissed Kate & said he felt disgusted & dead inside, my thoughts turned to, "maybe he's struggling & coming to terms with being gay?" Either way, he is not a nice person - that smug look on his face while staring without speaking - then blaming it on her drinking. He has no tact, no class, no grace. On D-day, I thought, "Kate, if you say you want to stay married to this douche, I will kick your ass!" Kate's broken speech: words - pause - words - pause - drove me crazy, and so did her hair & frumpy style - she's a pretty gal, and could be really stunning if she wanted to - but who could blame her for not going all out? I'm looking forward to the next season... at first I thought it was a ridiculous concept, but now I find it interesting...
  10. YES, I swear, I'm getting the gay vibe too, cuz, in general, what guy has ever turned down kissing & having sex with a pretty girl, even tho she's not their perfect type? His reaction was EXTREME - a kiss is just a kiss - repulsed, and dead inside?? That's some harsh, harsh sh*t... something is just up with him... (this was supposed to be a reply to Jack Sampson's comment - I hit the reply thingy, but it didn't include his comment...)
  11. Let's remember, too, that this show is supposed to be an "experiment". Can 2 people being paired only because they have the same family values overcome initial attraction issues and actually GROW? I know that I, myself, prefer tall, dark & handsome, but there is NO WAY I'd turn down a light skinned/haired/eyed man, if he was nice, AND A GOOD PERSON...and I KNOW there have been times when I initially didn't feel an attraction, but the more I got to know the person, the more attractive I found him... it's called being OPEN MINDED!!!
  12. I would love to hear from Luke's ex-girlfriends...lol
  13. I agree - but they're both grownups with jobs - so, day 1, go get yourselves a damn apartment!!
  14. I don't think she has blue eyes, they look dark to me - and she is obviously a natural brunette - maybe the producers thought she could compromise & change her hair color down the road if she was that into him? There's a difference between having a preference and being totally cold because the other person isn't the exact color you liked in the past. No, being different doesn't make you a bad person - but being purposely mean does. Luke didn't have to tell Kate he felt repulsed & dead inside after their kiss. That was just downright mean.
  15. Did Jasmine get married just to have someone pay all the bills? She didn't say if she's planning on working or not... splitting the household bills & chores is something that all couples need to discuss - opinions will vary depending on how they were raised. If the man had a mommy who did everything for him, that may be a problem for a strong woman... a lot of people these days never had to do chores, or don't cook... this is where COMPROMISE comes in - another thing a lot of people don't know how to do! Jasmine doesn't seem like she'll compromise much... just because she saw a hair in the mud, she sat apart from everyone? She still could have used the brush & put some on him...Seemed like something else was up...
