Jill posted a video of Gideon “learning to walk” …. Janessa keeps pulling um him up aggressively and dragging him around. It’s not cute jill, your kid is a brat and Gideon could have been seriously hurt the way she is handling him.

None of the dances wowed me last night. Glad Phaedra is gone. Stephen is stiff. Dwight is awkward. Jenn looks unstable in those in between transitions. Jenna and joeys samba was too similar to nyle and peta even choreography wise.

I love Val but I cannot vote for him when he is giving sub par choreo and she cannot dance.

They are inflating phaedras scores for one reason and one reason only. She has Val. If it were another pro those scores would be lower.

Stephen and Rylee- clunky clunky clunky, her facial expressions were super distracting. I’m seeing no improvement. Dwight and Daniella- I think he has peaked and now it’s time for him to go as much as I love him. He stood there while she twirled around him. Ilona and Alan- much better and her costume was flattering and beautiful. I loved it. She definitely came back strong after her jive mishap. Jenn and Sasha- she is forgettable and that’s really going to be her downfall. It was a lovely dance but she’s just so bland. danny and Witney- I loved this dance and some of those lifts were gorgeous. I don’t believe contemporary belongs on This show tho. joey and Jenna- they’re going to make finals at this rate, he has charisma and is so likable and is improving. Phaedra and Val- another dance of Val dancing around her. Blah. They can go next. chandler and Brandon- it was beautiful but at this point you expect it. Every dance will be beautiful but now I want to see her really wow us. brooks and gleb- goodbye. You won’t be missed. She was off putting and he’s just annoying.

Stephen and Rylee- it was okay, I still saw some timing issues and he still seems frantic but I believe that’s just how he is. I like them as a pairing I’m just hoping for more. jenn and Sasha- of all the paso dobles done this night this one by far had the most paso content. I appreciate that it was a full on paso so thank you Sasha. She was decent, it was good. I do wish her outfit was red or black. One of her best dances so far. joey and Jenna- very hoppy. Was scored way too high. His jive was much better. Danny and Witney- I fear he may have peaked. Hopefully next week he wows me. phaedra and Val- again, Val doing just enough to get by. I understand maybe Phaedra doesn’t have the dance ability as some of his other partners but there are other ways to mask that rather than giving her sub par choreo and basically dancing around her. She can be off putting to some people but I like her. brooks and gleb- I don’t like him, I don’t like her as she’s very off putting. There was no hip action in that cha cha. I want them off my screen next. She is getting by off looks alone. Dwight and Daniella- I love Daniella and I love this pairing but technically it wasn’t a great dance. He is committed and having fun tho and that’s great. ilona and Alan- so she messed up a lot in the jive and that’s okay, it happens. It wasn’t the first time someone has messed up on the jive. It was a cute fun dance and she finished it through. Next week hopefully she will come back strong chandler and Brandon- she can sell any dance she’s given. To me, there wasn’t enough jive content and the lack of kicks and flicks were noticable. The kicks and flicks she did do weren’t great. She’s taller and the jive is often harder for taller women. It wasn’t her best dance by a long shot but if they make it to finals I would like to see her do a redemption jive. reginald and Eric voted off. No surprise but I really did enjoy both of their attitudes. gene Simmons should never come back to the ballroom, his constant yelling out his score was driving me nuts. Alfonso’s suit was gorgeous.

I’ve watched this show since season 1. How much they’ve become lenient in allowing dances to become fusions and allowing letting them modernize proper ballroom and Latin dances is astounding. No one critiques the technique anymore, no one mentions the lack of proper ballroom and Latin dances. For instance, when you have a foxtrot but you add hip hop moves and backflips into it…. Len Goodman would have been appalled at what this has become.

When Val first started he was my fave, it’s like night and day. He’s totally disinterested now and it’s not fair to his partner. It’s clear as day he’s not there mentally anymore. If he isn’t wanting to be there then give the spot to someone who does. The one suffering here is Phaedra

I’ll say it again, Val is phoning it in this season bad. This comes from someone who loves Val.

Reginald and Emma- it was a sweet cute dance, Emma did what she could with his abilities. He isn’t going to go much further but he’s so likeable. Clearly he has memory issues as it’s so distracting watching Emma tell him the next steps during the dance. I just love him and I love how Emma is with older contestants. Eric and Britt- it was adorable and I love that song but he’s just not gonna get much better. His positive attitude is infectious though. Ilona and alan- this is what this competition is about. Ilona is improving and every single week. Love the choreo and while that song is difficult to choreograph a foxtrot too Alan did a good job. She’s going to be better in the in gold dances but let’s see how she does on her next Latin ones. Joey and Jenna- I love how they went right into the jive with no messing about in the beginning. His actual jive steps were very flat footed but he was having fun. He has showmanship and that is important. Not enough kicks and flicks for my liking but a good job and it was an entertaining dance. ( jive is my favorite dance so it would be hard to find one I didn’t enjoy) Jenn and Sasha- beautiful dress, proper Viennese waltz. I felt she was rushing a bit at times and her transitions into the next movement were shaky. It wasn’t smooth and fluid. She’s definitely improved though but she seems unsure when she isn’t in hold with him. Dwight and Daniella- technically it wasn’t his best. It was a fun dance and where he shines is his charisma, he always has an absolute blast to where he makes people want to get up and dance with him and that’s a really important quality to have in dance. He definitely needs to redeem himself in the Dance tonight. Phaedra and Val- now I love val but damn it you know this isn’t a proper quickstep. Breaking holds, too much messing about, the quickstep they did do she was off timing. I’m sorry but 8 was way too high. The choreo was bad for a quickstep and I was left wanting more. Val is phoning it in this season and I’m growing tired of it. Danny and Whitney- I really wish these pros would stop throwing random moves in that don’t belong in the dance. A backflip shouldn’t be in a foxtrot. That foxtrot was really fast and at points resembles a tango. To me it was almost unrecognizable as a foxtrot. i want to see proper dances people.

Brooks and gleb-I saw no hip action which the rumba requires. She has beautiful lines yet something is missing in her dancing. The choreo was choppy not smooth. Way too much fluffing about in the beginning as Len would say. Chandler and Brandon- I loved it. She had amazing timing. Great choreo. Bit much else to say. Stephen and Rylee- don’t get me wrong, I loved the dance from a fun aspect. However, the quickstep you are not supposed to break hold in except for 10 seconds before you go in hold and 10 seconds at the end. This dance was loaded with breaking hold. It was a quickstep hip hop fusion honestly. His posture wasn’t great, he was rushing. I did think it was a cute dance but it just wasn’t a proper quickstep.

Ive never liked Gleb. Tonight just proves my point. I can’t stand his constant showmances. I can’t stand how sleazy he is. Tonight, I can add I can’t stand his shit attitude to the list.

Witneys partner Danny looks like Chris watts I can’t unsee it. That is all.

I am glad that Anna is gone. She could have said something along the lines of “I’m taking away a new friend in ezra” or just a simple “I had a good time learning ballroom steps” I mean seriously, my heart broke for ezra that she couldn’t even thank him for his hard work putting up with her ass. Joeys rumba was very good. More hip action was needed on his part. I love that song though, choreography was gorgeous. Setephen Stephen Stephen, I like him as a person but so far both of his dances have been spastic. I am waiting for a traditional ballroom dance such as Waltz or foxtrot. Reginald- not much to say, little improvement. eric- again, not much to say. Britt looked beautiful. phaedra- I really want to like this pairing but I’m just not seeing any chemistry. They’re very forgettable to me which is tough bc Val is my favorite male pro. chandler- she is gorgeous and dances beautifully, she should be in finals. Her lines are just incredible. danny- light on his feet, surprisingly good in that jive. Love this pairing brooks-I hate showmances. I really cannot stand gleb no matter how gorgeous he is. They’re so predictable. Blah. jenn- I keep forgetting about her. She was okay. I love Sasha and want him to do well Dwight-light on feet, great musicality, love this pairing. Daniella is just a great partner to everyone and a great pro, she gives me Karina vibes. ilona- she’s having so much fun and that makes me want to watch her. I love her positive attitude and she’s such a breath of fresh air! I see the final 3 being chandler, (ilona or Stephen) and Joey with that bachelor nation behind him. (Dwight might sneak in there)

It’s nice to see what Rylee can do when she has someone who is capable. Last year we really didn’t get to see what she is capable of. ( yes I’m still salty harry made it as far as he did)
