  1. Ok so how old do you think they look on camera if a 40-year old looks like the daughter of a 50-year old?
  2. Nolan and Bailey look really awkward together when she is in her uniforms. The 10-year age difference looks a lot more at the time. It’s slightly better when she is in casuals. But they are still not convincing as a couple. I wish Aaron Thorsen was a regular instead. Sigh. But if Bailey as a regular means we don’t have to see any more Nolan GFs, I will take it. I think the neighbor who ate the ice-cream is the serial killer. Kinda anti-climatic for the killer to be a random person.
  3. No idea If NF has anything to do with the casting choices. But him being a producer will mean that people will unfortunately point fingers at him and blame him (even if he may or may not be responsible for the way Nolan’s relationships play out). Either ways, the writing for the relationships sucks. And the writers are responsible for that. And the casting also seems to be about how famous the actress is. Maybe they are hoping that the actresses with large following on Instagram will bring their fans to the show which will increase the show’s popularity. Jenna has almost 7 million followers on IG. They sure must be thinking the ratings will increase now.
  4. I think that helps in some small way. I liked him with Grace simply because he looked better with her as compared to the other actresses on The Rookie. And she was closer to his age as compared to others. I normally don’t care about age gap and stuff. But it has to look good on camera. That’s what matters at the end of the day. It’s a subjective opinion obviously.
  5. I thought he had excellent chemistry on both Castle and Firefly. It’s just not working on The Rookie. Apart from the very bad writing (they literally write every Nolan relationship in a horrible and the same way), they are pairing him up with the wrong women who don’t “suit” him. As I have said before, find someone who is closer to his age or even older than him.
  6. He has dated 4 women not 3. Yes, there are positive comments but there are those who like Jenna/Bailey not because they like Bailey/Nolan romance.
  7. I think it’s less about the character and more about people not interested in Nolan’s relationships. The response is overtly negative in various social media platforms. Jenna as an actress is immensely liked so fans may be happy about that. But I have barely seen anyone shipping them or loving them together.
  8. Solid episode. This is the kind of episode that should be doing more of not Russian spy nonsense. Pete is hilarious. Nolan and him are comedy gold. They play off each other perfectly. I don’t like cheating but it’s obvious Don and Harper are eventually going to get back together. I guess they are slow-burning it. They do have chemistry. All the Halloween costumes were adorable. Pity that they couldn’t find a way to put Nolan and Bradford in costume. Or Pete for that matter.
  9. Are they really going to do a whole serial killer storyline with any random guy being the killer? It has to be someone we know. It can be Bailey or even Aaron. I hope it’s not Aaron because I like him. A lot of serial killers have accomplices who do their bidding.
  10. I guess if that’s the case, it makes sense as to why Nolan would be a part of the serial killer case. Because being a part of the case pushes him more towards the detective side not TO.
  11. Yup that’s what I said too. He has 4 plot-lines running. 1) Relationship with Bailey 2)P2 partner with Chen and now riding solo (more chance for him to be hero) 3) Serial killer case 4) running for union rep. it’s getting too much. Somebody else could have run for it.
  12. I don’t think people have a problem with Bailey as a character. Many have said they would love to see more of her as a firefighter. I think most just don’t like the chemistry with Nolan. She is not suiting Nolan romantically. None of his romantic relationships have “popped”. I think they are trying too hard for Nolan to be the ultimate leading/romantic hero and it’s not working imo. I think it would be better if he is part of an ensemble rather than him being the hero all the day. But it will never happen especially since Nathan is the producer and he signed up for this show as the lead.
  13. This episode felt like the Nolan and Bailey show. So much screen time for a new character and barely any for the existing characters. I get we are supposed to root for them. I just don’t care. Also why is that Nolan is the one to run for union rep? There are so many other characters who would be better suited. He already has too many storylines already - the relationship with Bailey, becoming a TO, the serial killer case. Why add another one? I continue to like Aaron. The actor is very good.
  14. Assuming they don’t want to kill Wesley off in a shocking way (this show has already lost too many characters), am hoping there is more to the story.
  15. I don’t know how Wesley can get out of this without the actor exiting the show? Either he goes to jail or he dies. This is like the same Armstrong situation who became a crooked cop because the mob owned him. Nolan once again has to be the hero. The grenade scene was ridiculous. Even Chen was pissed with him. Not buying Nolan and Bailey as a couple. The romantic scenes are awkward to watch. If she is the serial killer, it might be interesting. New Jackson is still the most interesting thing about season 4 so far.
